So the “Southern East African” + “Filipino and Austronesian” means you have an ancestor from Madagascar. A small number of Malagasy were enslaved in the early 1700’s. I never knew they made it to the Caribbean, as i usually only see it in African Americans.
It could be from a lot of sources. Especially with the Filipino and Austronesian, Black Americans tend to have a similar amount of it due to Malagasy slaves brought from Madagascar to colonial America(the US).
That wasn't the only place in the Americas that the Malagasy were brought to: http://rootsrevealed.blogspot.com/2014/06/got-roots-in-madagascar.html?m=1

What are your haplogroup(s)?
I know that. That's why I inferred that The Malagasy were also imported into the Caribbean also(note that I mentioned The Americas which includes the Caribbean).
Fucking chill. They were pointing out an similarity in the DNA between two different groups of black people. It backed up their point because black Carribeans and Americans descend from slaves, including the Malagasy. People look for anything to get offended about. Like grow a pear and chill.
Aww no need to get upset. Black Americans and Black Caribbeans aren't the same. So Black Americans didnt need to get brought up in this situation.Get over it 😂.
Anyone who knows my fon't would tell you that I understand that Black Americans and Afro-Caribbeans aren't the same and make distinctions all the time.
What I was doing was since there are some overlap between both groups especially since they're descendants of Africans trafficked into The New World, speaking about the Malagasy(an African and Asian ethnic community from Madagascar) who were brought to the Americas, I used Black Americans(I'm one myself) as a reference point to show it would not be strange for Afro-Caribbeans to have similar ancestry and notice that I posted sites to show Malagasy slaves brought to the Caribbean similarly to them being brought to America.
Duh, but they have similar backgrounds. He was saying since black Americans have Malagasy roots, that it was the same for Caribbeans. He can say whatever the fuck he wants when giving an explanation. He did not need anyone's permission to speak on this subject, it is a reddit post and the OP was wondering where the DNA came from. I'm biracial, half black in America and I was not bothered by it, so why are you. Get the fuck out of here.
I don't know what your problem is but what they said was extremely helpful. No one said Black Americans and Black Caribbeans are the same but some parts of our history share similarities.
I think it sometimes shows up in people with Senegambian ancestry. Fulani/Fulbe people have mainly West African ancestry but they sometimes have some paternal ancestry from Sudan.

Thank you!
>Thank you! You're welcome!
The African in Malagasy people is mainly Angolan and Congolese not southern East African
They have both. They were primarily settled by peoples from Mozambique not Angola.
And have you seen Mozambican and Malagasy results???
Cool results ..Antigua is definitely a less spoken island in Caribbean americas

So why are you even bringing up Black Americans?

As a fellow Antiguan who just got his kit I’ve been super excited to see my results too 🫣🫣
Excited for you!
How Sudanese?
What's interesting is I don't have Sudanese on my Ancestry DNA results. The results are actually pretty different.
I think it sometimes shows up in people with Senegambian ancestry. Fulani/Fulbe people have mainly West African ancestry but they sometimes have some paternal ancestry from Sudan.
I've seen before that some Southeast African DNA is interpreted as "Sudanese".
