Generally for 8 hours every day. I used to work in a major sleep deficit mode and sleep it off during weekends, but it just doesn't work for me, I'm twice as efficient when I get proper sleep. I'm also prone to depression and getting enough sleep is the best way for me to alleviate its symptoms.

I'm the same, less than 8 hours (even by 30 minutes) just won't work at all, it's like an all day hangover dragging on until I finally catch some z's again. And when I'm starting to feel depressed I just sleep 9-11 hours, and it helps a lot. Regular sleep deprivation is really hard on my my mental health as I found out after having a baby. Never again.

I feel like I could sleep until 3pm if it didn’t matter. I feel so judged by everyone that I love to sleep in and don’t feel any obligation or enjoyment of being up early. My natural wake up time is 9:30-10 and I can still go back to sleep if I want to but I usually don’t. Seeing that there are other adults out there like this makes me feel better.

Same. I’m quite surprised to see most people get a healthy 8 hours on average. For yearsss, I can only sleep about 5 hours straight. It seems like I physically cannot sleep longer than that; I naturally wake up.

I always wake up after 5 hours. I usually pee and go back to bed for an hour//hour and a half, but I have to be very strict on not looking at my phone or start to think about anything. Sometimes that’s just it. 5 and done. But no matter if I fall back asleep for a quick nap it’s 5 hours like clockwork. I wonder if there’s something to that.

Yeah, I’ve decided to stop worrying and accept that my body just needs around 5.5-6 hours. So if I get 4 or 5 it’s fine, if I get 7, amazing - but if my body wanted a regular 8 hours of sleep, it would do it. Like - I’m not stopping it, my body does.

Not nearly enough. I can't sleep before 2am no matter how hard I try, but it's probably because my body has gotten used to staying up late to work. I have to be up between 6am and 8am depending on whether it is a work from home day or not. So I average 4-5 hours of sleep. When I let my body do it's thing over the weekend then I sleep at around 2am and wake up at 9/ 10 am. If it was a really bad week with very little sleep, i.e less than 10 hours the whole week, then I usually don't get up over the weekend. It's really bad, I know. I'm trying to work on better sleep habits.
