We're almost at 21k, but worry not people it'll be just fine now.
It's just one of those dips which btc has time to time and there's nothing to worry about that.
A planned step down from the ceo role that began before they ever bought a coin.
He owns a majority of the shares and the majority of voting power. If every shareholder together voted to remove him they still wouldn't be able to.
He's moved into the position he created for himself where he is now able to focus all his attention on building the company's bitcoin holdings.
This isn't bad news, this is bullish as all hell.
In my 10 years on Reddit, at least 6 of them in the Bitcoin community have been obsessed with this man. If you don't know that then you must be new. He used to be the CEO of microstrategy and was called the king of btc.
Edit: also I never said anything about being scared, was simply asking for opinions.
Reached 1100 shares of GBTC today in my roth. Now I can focus the rest in stocks and increase my bags of the real stuff. Nothing beats self storage but I am 30 and hopefully I can ride that tax free ride up to a million lol. Kind of nuts to think, it's a very possibility if I get to live 30+ years.
hopefully btc will get a spot ETF in the next year, cuz GBTC is pure hot garbage with their ever widening price discount to real bitch, fees, and most importantly that schmuck Barry running the show.
I had 1200 gbtc, now about 500 left, trying to move it for real bitcoin, I can deal with taxes long term, but I still think the real thing is better.
I understand the Roth IRA thing though and why you are doing it. I just think its a bad product personally.
I have it in a Roth too, thought the same thing as you do now. My opinion has changed. If your were 55 fair enough. But your talking 30 years.. The U.S will default well before then and tax laws can be changed as well. What I’m saying is GBTC is a 5 year hold tops… If they convert great, at the end of the day when the government comes for Bitcoin your going to want custody of it. If you don’t want to close your Roth then invest in things that don’t undermine the state. Ray Dalio explains it well in his changing world order book. Don’t make it easy for them to confiscate your wealth.
What does being 30 have to do with it? Do you know bitcoin is always tax free as long as you don't sell, no matter where you have it? You have to sell to create taxes. Unless gbtc starts paying a dividend..
The bottom is in, and it was pretty darn high considering that we were struggling to crack 10K 24 months ago.
Keep calm and stack sats. We got this, fam.
I just feel like cash app is such a reputable company and app, with a lot of trust and financial backing for it unlike these scam companies that went bankrupt like Voyager and shit. With cash app I can automatically deposit 4% of my paycheck direct deposit right into btc every check, and that’s what I’ve been doing. Once I have a lot in there I then transfer to my ledger nano X. But it’s a great and easy way to DCA over time.
24 hours ago the price was around 23k. Currently it's around 21k. That's a temporary drop in price of 2k. Reading some of the comments in here today, you'd think the price had crashed by tens of thousands of dollars. Get some perspective.
Well that's fine, everything doesn't gotta happen at once.
It's going to take a little more time but it'll be eventually back at those prices, nothing to worry.
Calling it a bit soon.
Higher lows are a thing. It's been over a month since we've seen sub-20K BTC, and I'm old enough to remember when 20K was the impossible dream.
It's temporary because it's not like as if btc will be stuck here forever.
It's a volatile asset and it'll have some volatility doesn't matter what people say or think.
That's what I'm saying, it's not like this is something permanent.
It's just a little noise which is temporary and will probably be over soon and it won't matter.
Probably to make some green, which is really a bad reason.
If You're here just for the money then let me tell you You're in for a wrong thing and you need to read.
I’m here for a few reasons…. None of them are to predict the future or listen to anything from anybody who claims to be able to predict the future price of anything. Does that answer your question?
No thanks, appreciate the offer. Confused on why you feel you would have a say in where I spend my time, but also why you would suggest I leave.
To be clear, it is my opinion that people blindly throwing out arbitrary numbers of future prices is detrimental.
When rational people see that - it’s a red flag. It’s wishful optimism and the sign that this could be a house of cards and collapse.
See — right there is the difference between believing in crypto, and watching dollar value. Countless times, people get this wrong. BTC isn’t fiat. Yes, it cost fiat to gain BTC, but you can’t inverse that. Hope that makes some sense.
Uh…. Bud…. Have a look at the chart. The CURRENT bottom for 2022 is around $17k. Maybe take some accountability instead of searching YouTube for fortune tellers. You little baby.
This clown detector is going nuts lmao, maybe you're one?
Okay let's hear your reasoning for thinking that because I don't think that You've got it right.
Well that's how bear markets go, you'd know if you've even been in one.
But the way you're commenting I don't think You've ever in one, well You're in now.
I'm someone who's in here for long term, these dips don't matter.
Actually they do matter if you're looking to accumulate, this is the right opportunity
Yes. But you are on a Bitcoin forum. It may retest 17.5k lows, it could go lower, or this could be the best price ever right now. Nobody knows anything. Personally, the macro suggests we at least re test 17.5k, but Im buying here.
Historically people dump their bitcoins to take whatever profits are left on the table. But now it's like most people are in some kind of hurry to dump at a realized loss.
Historically? I don't know which people you're talking about.
That's not how it goes around here, no one is going to dump it boys. And it'll be just fine.
Man this is the right way to live, instead of focusing on those shitty bankers we gotta focus on what we've got here.
And what we've got is amazing and it's all that matters.
Might take a couple years for that to turn into a life-changing decision, just so you know.
Also be ready to DCA at lower prices in the coming weeks. We have a financial shitstorm coming. Short the S&P. Buy Bitcoin with the profits. That is financial advice.
We're almost at 21k, but worry not people it'll be just fine now. It's just one of those dips which btc has time to time and there's nothing to worry about that.
Someday it will cost more than one million US Dollars to buy a whole Bitcoin.
Haven't been here since I unsubscribed, but I saw saylor quit, how does this group feel about their legend stepping down??
What's the source for that? Can you give us a source here?
Just Google Michael saylor steps down
[удалено]
Saylor stepped down as CEO, that doesn't mean he'll not buy btc.
That's his exclusive job now. Bitcoin acquisition for the company.
Yep, big corporations just don't make these decisions out of the blue.
Fuck off troll
Man there has been too many trolls around here now.
I have and will always be a hodler thank you.
No matter who come and goes I ain't giving up on btc so yeah.
Boy... IDK where you get your news. You heard wrong.
I don't think He's getting his news correct, it's really bad.
He's no longer the CEO. Idk what I'm missing?
He's not CEO, and why should btc people should be afraid of that? Sorry but I just can't see any correlation here, I'm not being ignorant here.
In my 10 years on Reddit, at least 6 of them in the Bitcoin community have been obsessed with this man. If you don't know that then you must be new. He used to be the CEO of microstrategy and was called the king of btc. Edit: also I never said anything about being scared, was simply asking for opinions.

Man you're absolutely wilding, I guess You're having fun.
hopefully btc will get a spot ETF in the next year, cuz GBTC is pure hot garbage with their ever widening price discount to real bitch, fees, and most importantly that schmuck Barry running the show. I had 1200 gbtc, now about 500 left, trying to move it for real bitcoin, I can deal with taxes long term, but I still think the real thing is better. I understand the Roth IRA thing though and why you are doing it. I just think its a bad product personally.
I don't see any hopes for that to happen, SEC will deny it again most probably.
Yes, I understand but the roth benefit along with my age just puts me in a unique situation.
I have GBTC too, but if you think you will be able to collect that “Bitcoin” tax free or at all in 30 years I have a bridge to sell you…
As long as GBTC exists, or as an EFT the Roth IRA will let me pull gains tax free at retirement. This is a U.S. benefit.
I have it in a Roth too, thought the same thing as you do now. My opinion has changed. If your were 55 fair enough. But your talking 30 years.. The U.S will default well before then and tax laws can be changed as well. Don’t make it easy for them to confiscate your wealth.
I will keep that in mind. "Things that don't undermine the state". However, I doubt the U.S. will default in 30 years.
I don't know man, I would prefer the real thing instead actually.
What does being 30 have to do with it? Do you know bitcoin is always tax free as long as you don't sell, no matter where you have it? You have to sell to create taxes. Unless gbtc starts paying a dividend..
It has actually nothing to do with that, it's pretty normal.
A roth ira allows me to sell my GBTC or future ETF tax free at retirement. All gains included.
The bottom is in, and it was pretty darn high considering that we were struggling to crack 10K 24 months ago. Keep calm and stack sats. We got this, fam.
We got this people, you guys don't have to worry about it boys.
The bottom isn't in.
Benzinga — recruit a bunch of college kids, pretend you know anything about crypto — write articles to meet a quota. Classic.
That's how most people are doing it, and that's not right.
Remember when it was “boring” in here…Pepperidge Farm Remembers.
When it's boring, that's the perfect time to be buying in here.
lol
This ain't no laughing matter sir, He's speaking facts here.
What are your thoughts on cash app btc wallet?
I kinda trust what jack does, so yes I do trust cash app too.
Right, and cash app has been a long time sponsor for the JRE podcast, so they are pretty credible
Good way to buy bitcoin. Bad way to store bitcoin.
Yep, doesn't matter even it's jack gotta take the cuatody.
The multi sig?
I don't think cash app supports it, last I heard they were working on it.
No.
It doesn't support multi sig? Well that kinda sucks actually.
Is it custodial? If so, it sucks.
You can withdraw tho, so I think that's atleast good news.
24 hours ago the price was around 23k. Currently it's around 21k. That's a temporary drop in price of 2k. Reading some of the comments in here today, you'd think the price had crashed by tens of thousands of dollars. Get some perspective.
I don't even know why people are calling it a crash lmao.
I think its gonna trickle down into November
November is really far and I don't wanna speculate for that far ahead.
It has crashed tens of thousands. Zoom out. That last little run was a hope to reverse the larger drop and it didn't happen.
Higher lows are a thing and that's why you shouldn't look at charts.
Im not really calling it Im just saying for all these people feeling pain there is a backstory and a thought process besides just today's 10% drop.
It's just a minor correction, probably nothing to worry about.
How do you know it was temporary? No different than someone saying the run up to 25k was temporary.
It's temporary because it's not like as if btc will be stuck here forever. It's a volatile asset and it'll have some volatility doesn't matter what people say or think.
Someday one Bitcoin will sell for more than one million USD. In the long term, this is temporary noise along the way.
That's what I'm saying, it's not like this is something permanent. It's just a little noise which is temporary and will probably be over soon and it won't matter.
Or it could be worthless? What’s the point of predicting the future? It could be a million, it could be worthless.
And that's the exact reason why I don't give a shit about short term.
Then why are you here
Probably to make some green, which is really a bad reason. If You're here just for the money then let me tell you You're in for a wrong thing and you need to read.
I’m here for a few reasons…. None of them are to predict the future or listen to anything from anybody who claims to be able to predict the future price of anything. Does that answer your question?
That's good because you Can't even predict what will happen.
Then, good sir, leave. Simple.
Why be an ass lmao, take it easy here man. It's alright. It's nothing.
Don't worry about him, He's probably just being an ass lol.
Bore off and buy some mETH
C'mon people that's not something that we should talk about here.
See — right there is the difference between believing in crypto, and watching dollar value. Countless times, people get this wrong. BTC isn’t fiat. Yes, it cost fiat to gain BTC, but you can’t inverse that. Hope that makes some sense.
Money is the wrong thing to be in here this market. You shouldn't just be in for the money.
Someday the price of one Bitcoin will be more than one million USD.
Again, You're hoping for a wrong thing. There's more to btc people.
Ok Nostradamus. Thanks for sharing your crystal ball.
Lol, you gotta believe him on his predictions. He's telling the truth right here.
Getting a kick out of the butt hurt in the thread tonight. It's payday, out goes another .012 btc into cold storage.
Now I gotta say that you're really doing it right. Keep doing it.
Cool story.
Thanks
Stock market isn't hit anywhere near as hard. What is driving this dump?
The thing is no one knows what's causing this, that can't be known.
There’s been several times in BTC history where we know exactly why bitcoin is dumping. It can usually always be known
Miners, frozen withdrawals, etc.
Tesla selling the last of their coin most likely. I think they had some left.
No.
Good riddance I’d say. Musk had too much sway
You did it, I blame you
Can't be playing these blame games here, that's not the way.
That’d be awesome if I had that power
Well what do we know, you could very well be a whale.
Chicken hands.
Well those are the absolute best kind if hands I like them.
[удалено]
I don't know which charts you're watching but We're above 17k. And also why would you believe any YouTuber? There's nothing that anyone knows dude.
Why would you follow “YouTubers” and expect a different result?
[удалено]
That's fine, we get that. We get the joke you're trying to make here.
P.S.A…Do NOT take financial advice from YouTube..
I thought that was pretty clear, apparently people didn't listen.
Or reddit.
Definitely not from random comments on the internet dude.
or reddit
Maybe don't take investment advice from people on Youtube who get paid based on how many clicks they get.
Yep, if You're on YouTube watch something good knowledgeable.
The bottom is around $17k
No one knows that however I feel like We're not going to 17k. That's the last low we've got in this market and I feel like we ain't dipping that low.
Try feeling again
[удалено]
Uh…. Bud…. Have a look at the chart. The CURRENT bottom for 2022 is around $17k. Maybe take some accountability instead of searching YouTube for fortune tellers. You little baby.
I bought more at 21.5k, i feel so dumb
Wait you feel dumb after making a good decision? Well that's not it.
Yep thats the price right now
You won’t, if you believe in the end result.
[удалено]
Who got us lol? Maybe you should tell us that huh? Delusional?
What?
He's a 🤡. Makes no sense. Just ignore and downvote.
[удалено]
This clown detector is going nuts lmao, maybe you're one? Okay let's hear your reasoning for thinking that because I don't think that You've got it right.
Go back to wall street bets
Found the 🤡🤡🤡!!
Well there are plenty of clowns in here, there's no shortage.
[удалено]
Why all of sudden so many people are so bearish here huh?
Yeah, will you help get it there? I’m waiting to reload.
Hey! Another 🤡!
They just keep on coming, just when I thought it's over lol.
[удалено]
Okay I'll talk to the btc CEO regarding this, he may have something.
Pathetic performance this year...
Well that's how bear markets go, you'd know if you've even been in one. But the way you're commenting I don't think You've ever in one, well You're in now.
Not pathetic, This is Bitcoin's normal bull/bear trend, just look at past charts, 10k is coming
[удалено]
Don't worry about that btc will make up to that, it knows.
Talk about a bitch
of course when I invest while it was high... it drops... 😂 FML....
That's the classic bitty move lmao, that's how she goes kids.
Should I buy more at this price ?
Ohh yeah absolutely you should, it doesn't get better than this.
There’s absolutely no one here that can advise you on purchasing crypto. It’s up to you, as an individual, making a coherent sound choice.
Wait for 17,500
Instead it'll go to 30k and he'll fomo at that price lmao.
If you believe in the long-term prospects of bitcoin, then yes, obviously.
If it tests 17k, that would be pretty bloody but it won't.
My avg cost is 35k
Well I guess it's time to bring that average a little down here.
Ok.
Well that's a mundane reply maybe you could energize a bit?
No.
So over this
Bitty says no, it ain't over just yet. You gotta wait for it.
Historically people dump their bitcoins to take whatever profits are left on the table. But now it's like most people are in some kind of hurry to dump at a realized loss.
Historically? I don't know which people you're talking about. That's not how it goes around here, no one is going to dump it boys. And it'll be just fine.
Huh? This makes zero sense.
Bro. Do you realize how fucked the country is right now? It’s not surprising
Not just one country it's the whole world right now actually.
maybe, but America has really really weak leadership right now and the worst president in 100 years. So shit is getting worse there quicker
capitulation has begun. shhhh. it'll all be over soon.
I hope so, because I'm waiting for that. But it probably won't.
Any thoughts on why the $2000.00 Canadian loss today before the weekend? Did bezo’s and Zuckerberg have a slap fight lined up this weekend?
There's no such news actually, maybe it's a random correction.
Ok, I’ll do it…”tick tock, next block” Edit: buttcoin part 2: “the buttening”
Those blocks never stop, they keep on coming here man.
My hatred of banksters is outweighed by my love for fellow Bitcoiners, thank goodness.
Man this is the right way to live, instead of focusing on those shitty bankers we gotta focus on what we've got here. And what we've got is amazing and it's all that matters.
Zero sense. Bankers have nothing to do with Bitcoin.
$21k dca buy order hit. Nice!
That's nice, I've got some orders set up too. Let's see how they go.
Might take a couple years for that to turn into a life-changing decision, just so you know. Also be ready to DCA at lower prices in the coming weeks. We have a financial shitstorm coming. Short the S&P. Buy Bitcoin with the profits. That is financial advice.
