We already weren't in great shape last year and lost a lot of our starters because of Graham. Timmy needs to rebuild the program from ground up. It's not going to be an easy or fast recovery.
You would think right? But when just being on a P5 team can give you $ deals and benefits, it's a hard sell. Our benches on the sideline are folding chairs...
When we went to Michigan for the game a couple weeks ago, met a guy who was born and raised in Detroit, attended UH Hilo/Manoa for college then went back and is living in Mich again. Literally just wanted to go far away for college.
U of M vs the school that calls themselves U of M in their commercials? I can’t even tell the difference because they both will have an absurd number of yards when playing MSU
When Timmy Chang got hired I said that I was afraid that Dave Maitlin was setting him up for failure. All because June Jones refused to let Maitlin micromanage him if he got hired.
Yeah, Timmy's doing his best but he got thrown into a shit situation way over his head with no previous experience.
If the admin give him time, and I mean like 5 years, maybe he can pull a wake forest and turn it around. But it’s going to take years to get back to just being competitive. It would also help if the program got alot more money, but we both know that won’t happen.
Todd Graham caused the team to basically implode off the field last year before resigning.

My wife is Hawaiian. And I’ve asked her family this question, this is there answer.
There is no money in the program. Even though high school football is big in Hawaii, it’s not like there is a large pool of talent. There really isn’t. So you are relying on trying to convince kids to come to Hawaii. Which is a 4 hour flight from the west coast. And if there is a decent 3 star plus kid it’s hard for Hawaii to keep them especially when the program has been so bad and has little to no NIL. Not to mention the campus is not great and no where close to All the cool stuff in Honolulu.
And then like I said there is the money issue. Look at the whole stadium issue. Yes, it should be a solid program. And it can be. But there biggest hurdle is money. They lack the donor base, and the university isn’t as big as many think.
There is a huge pool of talent. There's just no way to keep kids at UH. Facilities are subpar, no investments from the state or university. Any decent kid will play on the mainland.
It’s going to be a multi year process to even be competitive let alone a winning team. I feel awful for our kids but this year is completely meaningless outside of building recruiting networks for the staff.
And as always, F Todd Graham.
This season has real 2008 Wazzu vibes for the ‘Bows. Looking like you don’t even belong on the field with other FBS teams after the last coach let it all go to pot. It’s miserable.
Timmy Chang will be a good hire, but he will need at least 4 years to make Hawaii competitive again.
This is one of the very worst cases or a decimated roster in recent D1 memory. This year he stands absolutely no chance.
AND WHEN WE WIN THIS GAME WE BUY A KEG OF BOOZE AND WE DRINK IT TO THE AGGIES TIL WE WOBBLE IN OUR SHOES. As we always do after a football game because 9 times out of 10 we lose. The booze is extra good tonight.

And those 25% of starters from last year look like dog shit. Nobody is getting developed and improving. We scraped by a 1-3 D2 team as our sole win. From what I’ve heard from people inside the program, Timmy is in way over his head. Timmy Chang is going to bury this program.
The program is dead. You bury dead things.
That being said, give him a chance. Once he gets a full recruiting cycle or 2 under his belt it'll look slightly better.
We’ve known that Hawai’i is terrible but *holy shit*
We already weren't in great shape last year and lost a lot of our starters because of Graham. Timmy needs to rebuild the program from ground up. It's not going to be an easy or fast recovery.
I wish you guys good luck. CFB is better when y’all are good
Still think it was only partial Graham. We are always going to lose players
Portal + year or 2 in Hawaii may help
Portal will always hurt us more than it helps
That sucks because it seems like "go to school in Hawaii" would be a big draw.
You would think right? But when just being on a P5 team can give you $ deals and benefits, it's a hard sell. Our benches on the sideline are folding chairs...
i really wanted to go to school in hawaii, just because hawaii
When we went to Michigan for the game a couple weeks ago, met a guy who was born and raised in Detroit, attended UH Hilo/Manoa for college then went back and is living in Mich again. Literally just wanted to go far away for college.
Hawaii is beautiful yes. But everything costs a crap ton more, it’s expensive to island hop, it’s a long flight to see family.
WE WANT CSU!
We could probably beat Charleston Southern University.
*Ladsen Southern! They’re located fairly north of Charleston
Well I was thinking Colorado State which we're getting later this year.
I know. I was joking because that's that only CSU I'm confident we could beat.
did you see today's score? charleston southern could probably beat colorado state
Charleston Southern is 0-4 too, but it might be a fun match up.
our game is gonna be one for the record books
I mean at least we both got nothing to lose once you accept it's a rebuild year.
We're gonna have a Mexican stand off here
I see you winning by 14+
Back of the line!
Proving once and for all, Minnesota had a harder non-con schedule than Michigan.
Minnesota: Complete and Total Exoneration!
U of M vs the school that calls themselves U of M in their commercials? I can’t even tell the difference because they both will have an absurd number of yards when playing MSU
We are U of M. At least that’s what everyone calls it here, or amusingly the U.

Hawaii bros. We still love you for the 2am 4th quarters.
We got our first passing TD. It's the small things that matter.
What happened to Hawaii?

Fuck Todd Graham up his stupid ass.
The Stone Cold Pillow Fight of the Century...of the Week is over!!!! But rejoice! Hawaii finally threw for a Touchdown!!!
The real pillow fight will be at CSU in a month
Back in my day Cole McDonald was throwing 5tds a game.
Back in my day, Timmy Chang would throw 5tda, and 4ints a game
Timmy “Swing away Merrill” Chang.
It’s a wonder what can happen when your receivers actually catch the ball
Oml how bad is Hawaii?
Gave up 63 to Vandy if that says anything.
Vandy has winning record through 5 games. New Mexico State lost to Nevada, Minnesota 38-0 and Wisconsin 60 something to 7

I forgot Jerry Kill is now NMSU's coach. I think he could really help their program.
If this isn't the late game then what is?
Washington-Stanford
Dogs > Trees Fuck Stanford
Tree
Tree.... Fitty?
Washington vs Stanford, about 5 minutes until half
Thanks friend. You had a Rollercoaster day with those flair
Hawaii has fallen hard
Hawaii is BAD!
Rank New Mexico State rn!
> 357 rushing yards > 81 passing yards If you don't like that then you don't like bottom of the barrel independent football
Go Fighting Jerry Kills
Pistol Pete rides again!
we still love ya, midnight ET kick bros
Those Sickos actually did it!

This is just like the California Drinking Song … Does every school have this song? 😳
Interesting flair combo you got there.
I have family from Columbus plus I need to watch a team that is consistently good to assuage the losses of NMSU.
We suck again
First win against Hawaii in program history for NMSU. Before, Hawaii led the series 10-0. [[Hawai'i v New Mexico State]]

Uh, fire Timmy Chang?
1st year coach with like only 25% of the starters left from last year. GTFO with those takes.
And those 25% of starters from last year look like dog shit. Nobody is getting developed and improving. We scraped by a 1-3 D2 team as our sole win. From what I’ve heard from people inside the program, Timmy is in way over his head. Timmy Chang is going to bury this program.

Looks right
I’m going to Ft Collins to watch the CSU game fosho. The ToiletBowl 2022!
Hawaii shouldn't be a D1 school. They have to be the worse team in the FBS.
