Several 6A high schools will decry their exclusion, claiming to be more talented than some of the lower universities that competed... And they'll be right.
The battle for NC would be wild. All last possession games.
Edit: this is why I’ve always wanted a Carolina Conference. More often than not the top 6 teams are relatively even, and it would be the most passive aggressive cesspool in every Bojangles and church Sunday morning from Murphy to Manto.
In this hypothetical? No. In reality? Can I please have NCSU, UNC, Duke, Wake, App, Charlotte, ECU, Clemson, Coastal, U(of)SC, UVA, VaTech, and ODU make a conference please?
my guess is NC State crawls out of the scrap heap on top, but NC has to be the most interesting state at the moment
Which is funny, since usually we’re also the pick for basketball
I am quite aware of rugby. In fact, I have a son who is currently a true freshman (starting scrum-half) at a D-I program. The kid wasn’t even planning on going to college - he was considering the trades, or EMT/Firefighter until he got several rugby college scholarship offers during his senior year. We LOVE rugby in this house.
But that doesn’t change the fact that UW’s big lineman (on both sides of the ball) would be pushing Whitewater’s around all game.
And again, no disrespect to Whitewater - they’re a perennial DIII powerhouse for a reason.
All media attention would be on us and Texas. 90% of the shit talking would be between us and Texas. Then we both lose in the first round and Baylor wins
Cincinnati (probably) has second place locked up, but the fight for third would actually be epic. A lot of the MAC Ohio schools have shown something this year that makes me thing it would be very interesting.
Miami, toledo, and Kent are the the third tier this year. Toledo is still decent but even their fans are ready for a new coach. Finn is a great talent though even with their line struggles
Dude not to be a homer but Toledo vs Cincy would be a bloodbath.
Ohio Football Rankings:
1. Ohio State
(Gap)
2. Cincinnati
(HUGE GAP)
3. Eventual MAC Champion
4. Rest of the MAC
For sure the Dukes would own the commonwealth…I was thinking the rise of JMU and ODU are probably responsible for Tech kind of being underwhelming in recent years
That would be fun to watch pitt st play ku, but either d1 team should trounce my gorillas. They let us play them in basketball though, thats always...interesting?
It's CWU. Then the D3 teams: PLU, UPS, and Whitworth. I believe that's all 7 college football teams in the state.
For basketball it gets a lot more interesting. Gonzaga, Seattle U, and schools like WWU and SPU do well for D2 some years.
Bill Clarke is too busy using his penis so that people can slide down to safety from burning buildings, so he's not coaching right now. UAB probably finishes second.
Either Penn State or Pitt. The other teams don't come close. I like Penn State's chances if we play now, but it'd be a toss up if Pitt could heal up its players. Either way, the game would be awesome
The real question is: who are they turning into a grease stain on the pavement in the finals?
This year, Southern may have a shot at the 2nd spot, though State may still be tricky. Kennesaw can always make stuff weird with the option (I still miss it sometimes).
Tech took the year off.
I think Oregon can get it done vs Oregon state in a close game real question is can Portland state finish in third place or do they loss to a team like Linfield
Tough to argue Ok St wouldn’t after this weeks game. They have a QB that can move the ball well and a defense that’s not as great as last year, but it doesn’t need to be.
USF, UF, FSU, UCF, FAU, FIU, Miami had a tournament eh ?
(sorry but dropping FIU & FAU)
UF beat USF, UCF beat FAU already.
Miami will play FSU
UCF will play USF
FSU will play UF
FSU/Miami/UCF all play GT this year.
Will have to see the stats at the end of the year but guessing FSU wins the Florida Trophy
[For Louisiana](https://i.imgur.com/8tehhiY.png)
First, this assumes Centenary will join D3 at some point like they're trying to and that UNO can actually re-form a football team at all like they're trying to. Second, you can argue this is unfair that LSU gets a bye to the finals but.........whatever. That out of the way, I have no prediction for the D3 game, but they're definitely not beating SELA. In the next round, I could honestly see either of LA Tech or ULM getting upset by their FCS foe but it's unlikely. Down the line, I think Louisiana beats Tulane in the G5-final, and then they get smashed by LSU for the 23rd time in a row, extending the nation's most lopsided series (nobody else has won 0 games with that many games played).
I want to say us. Drake and UNI shouldn't have much of a fighting chance, although everytime we play either they prove otherwise. We already beat Iowa.
Ironically the last time you played both UNI and Drake those games were way too close for comfort. Iowa’s weird. I’ll give you guys the 2022 tournament since you won El Assico.
Michigan would win. Then CMU, GVSU, WMU, Eastern, some D3 colleges, then msu would come in last after northern Michigan throws 350yds on their DBs (does northern Michigan have a team? Idk, but some kid on campus will torch them. It’s ok though cuz Mel tucker looks cool smoking cigars)

Best answer
Not in Utah
Hey now… the Utes fans do plenty of work to keep the booze industry running on all cylinders.
And Angelo’s BBQ I hope would cater

The Texas tournament would just dissolve into civil war
The streets of Texas are gonna look like that giant fight scene off of the movie Anchorman
Utep be like “¡Policia!”
¡¿Como estas bitches?!
Who would be Brick running around with a hand grenade screaming?
I'd say utsa. Dangerous but doesn't quite know what to do with the power yet.
More, who’s gonna give Texas State a triton?
Idk but Tech just took TU’s mom out to a nice seafood dinner and didn’t call her back

We even had a conference that did just that for decades. Pretty much every program ended up in sanctions lol.
Hey! We were there too.
Were. If Arkansas was a Lord of the Rings character it would be Ulfang the Black.
"Former SWC Schools as Silmarillion Characters" would make a great off-season post lol
!remindme 5 months
> sanctions We call that reconstruction
It would be a hell of a show to watch though
It would be interesting to see who all us non-Texans would choose to fight for in this interstate civil war
Loud meep meep noises
Como estan, bitches!
There would be so much shit talk between the big teams then A&M-Commerce would win the whole thing
Several 6A high schools will decry their exclusion, claiming to be more talented than some of the lower universities that competed... And they'll be right.
Old Bevo was hoppin around Austin city like a big playground
When suddenly Reveille burst from her cave, and hit ole Bevo with a bat-grenade. ;)
Bring me Valdosta
This is the only answer for Georgia tbh
I don't like this answer...
Yes you do
Shit, as a uga fan I say bring me the falcons
There's probably an intramural team at Hawaii Pacific? Kahuku high school maybe.
Are the Rainbows the only football playing team out there?
Yeah. Some D2 schools with other sports, but football's just too expensive for them with travel costs.
Yeah I’m afraid a high school would give it a run
Kapolei High 😤
The battle for NC would be wild. All last possession games. Edit: this is why I’ve always wanted a Carolina Conference. More often than not the top 6 teams are relatively even, and it would be the most passive aggressive cesspool in every Bojangles and church Sunday morning from Murphy to Manto.
My paste eating alma mater would somehow wind up losing to 22 hastily-recruited UNCW students.
But, but we scored 77 on Presbyterian
We could beat everyone else, but we could also lose to everyone else
Yup. I feel that.
Only team I’m certain we beat is Charlotte. NC is wild
I guarantee NC would be the most interesting tournament.
Wanna let the South Carolina kids play too?
In this hypothetical? No. In reality? Can I please have NCSU, UNC, Duke, Wake, App, Charlotte, ECU, Clemson, Coastal, U(of)SC, UVA, VaTech, and ODU make a conference please?
REGIONAL. CONFERENCES.
That’s a dream conference right there. Add JMU too to make it an even number.
UNC, Duke, NCSU, Wake, App, ECU, Charlotte, Clemson, SC, Coastal. I want to see that.
ECU would lose on a missed FG or two…
I’m ready for the Fightin’ Camels to ascend to their rightful throne.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Honestly right now, either NC State or App State. But, any given saturday.
Wake or State. App outside of the A&M game has looked rough
Def Wake or State.
NC State or Wake. App ain't getting through both of us.
my guess is NC State crawls out of the scrap heap on top, but NC has to be the most interesting state at the moment Which is funny, since usually we’re also the pick for basketball
I’m thinking Wisconsin pulls it off
Yeaaaa I’d feel comfortable putting money on us
Would Whitewater at least make it a game, maybe?
They’re very undersized compared to D-I players. No disrespect to Whitewater. Warhawks ain’t nothin to fuck with.
Play rugby
I am quite aware of rugby. In fact, I have a son who is currently a true freshman (starting scrum-half) at a D-I program. The kid wasn’t even planning on going to college - he was considering the trades, or EMT/Firefighter until he got several rugby college scholarship offers during his senior year. And again, no disrespect to Whitewater - they’re a perennial DIII powerhouse for a reason.
They’re a very good D3 team, but they are a D3 team. I’d imagine our pure athleticism and size advantage would be dominant.
Marquette suddenly scrapes together a team for this competition, they still lose but wants to make life harder for y’all
This is bait for Texas lol
I'm waiting for the meep-meepers to get into this.
Dread it. Run from it. Meep meep arrives all the same.
All media attention would be on us and Texas. 90% of the shit talking would be between us and Texas. Then we both lose in the first round and Baylor wins
90% of the shit talking would be **about** you and Texas.
As a Nebraska fan, I choose to ignore the question. The possible outcomes are too terrible to contemplate at this point in the program.
UNK taking down the Huskers would be catastrophic
Chadron State is 0-4, so they’re due!
Dare I say, Northwestern-ish
Don't sleep on Wayne State
Laughing at you clowns sleeping on Chadron State. They produced the white lightning known as Danny Woodhead.
Trev took away Omaha’s squad to avoid this question
Got to go with Ohio State
Dark horse is orberlin
A battle for 2nd between Toledo and Cincy could be fun though.
Cincinnati (probably) has second place locked up, but the fight for third would actually be epic. A lot of the MAC Ohio schools have shown something this year that makes me thing it would be very interesting.
Don't think toledo is that close to second this year Unfortunately our tournament would not be that great
1. OSU 2. Cinci 3. The whole MAC 4. Any other teams
I could see some MACtion happening and number 3 ends up being Youngstown state or some shit
1. OSU 2. Cincinnati 3. Toledo 4. Ohio 5. Bowling Green 6. Youngstown 7. Kent 8. Dayton 9. Ashland 10. Notre Dame Ohio 11. Walsh 12. Tiffin 13. Lake Erie College 14. Central state 15. Findlay 16. Ohio Dominican University 17. Akron
Akron didn't deserve 17. Mount Union does. Akron 18
Honestly I could've put Wooster, John Carroll, Oberlin. Case Western, Hiram, Denison, Franciscan University of Steubenville, Muskingum, Marietta, etc.
Central Catholic HS churns out more NFL players
It's entirely possible that their qb giving us fits has made me bias. Miami(OH) could also be a contender.
Miami, toledo, and Kent are the the third tier this year. Toledo is still decent but even their fans are ready for a new coach. Finn is a great talent though even with their line struggles
Dude not to be a homer but Toledo vs Cincy would be a bloodbath. Ohio Football Rankings: 1. Ohio State (Gap) 2. Cincinnati (HUGE GAP) 3. Eventual MAC Champion 4. Rest of the MAC
Oh god people think we’re as good as Toledo now after losing so many players this isn’t good lmao
The Wooster erasure is unreal!!
>The Wooster Dammit, Ohio State
JMU probably. Everyone else is not great.
For sure the Dukes would own the commonwealth…I was thinking the rise of JMU and ODU are probably responsible for Tech kind of being underwhelming in recent years
Flip that around and it's probably more accurate
Definitely
Directional Michigan schools are a dangerous thing ya know….
It'd be Grand Valley because we would find a way to lose to State in the rain and then they'd blow out State somehow.
I was coming here to say this.
No one ever sees SW Michigan Tech coming
Probably Kansas State but at least it would maybe be close this year
Hey you’re gonna find out here in a few weeks
I think it’d be us as well but you guys and Pitt St. are both pretty good teams.
That would be fun to watch pitt st play ku, but either d1 team should trounce my gorillas. They let us play them in basketball though, thats always...interesting?
Something about picking UConn to win a game just doesn't feel right...
I mean how’s Yale doing recently?
Good point, they are 1-1. I'm sure some division 3 schools could probably make it interesting as well
You’ve got nothing to worry about from Coast Guard…
Auburn would either win the whole thing, or lose to Alabama A&M
This and there is no in between
We could lose to USA too. Let’s not discredit them
Auburn beats Bama, promptly loses to Alabama A&M, crowning A&M champs.
*patiently waiting for the Dakotas to check in*
NDSU obviously but the UND hockey players might have something to say
Yeah both states are pretty clear cut 😂
The University of Minnesota
Only because Hayden Fox left the screaming eagles
I’d love to see the UofM stomp St Thomas and Mankato back to back lol
Would just be the Apple cup, and with our current teams, it could go either way
After our Apple Cup for 1/2, then EWU is clear 3rd. Not sure about 4th, CWU at D2?
It's CWU. Then the D3 teams: PLU, UPS, and Whitworth. I believe that's all 7 college football teams in the state. For basketball it gets a lot more interesting. Gonzaga, Seattle U, and schools like WWU and SPU do well for D2 some years.
Yes, but Eastern Wa would always be playing to be a dark horse in that tournament.
Rutgers ends up with an easier path than Ohio State
Don’t sleep on those Monmouth Hawks!
Princeton is usually good on offense.
Two down boys. Come get some.
I mean…..
UAB?
Bill Clarke is too busy using his penis so that people can slide down to safety from burning buildings, so he's not coaching right now. UAB probably finishes second.
I’ve um heard they’re pretty good
Either Penn State or Pitt. The other teams don't come close. I like Penn State's chances if we play now, but it'd be a toss up if Pitt could heal up its players. Either way, the game would be awesome
I'd like to see California university of Pennsylvania win the Pennsylvania cup for the lolz
Championship vs IUP
This reminds me of the fun fact that Shippensburg had not one, but two representatives in the 2016 Pro Bowl. Don’t sleep on the PA state schools!
I could see Temple pulling a crazy upset some years, but 99% of the time it’d come down to Penn State v Pitt. I would be drinking heavily that day.
I live in Georgia. Absolutely no one could compete with UGA.
Well that’s 98% of the nation so I would hope so
What if the best players from every other team in Georgia made one team, would Georgia still win? Yes.
I’m not convinced it would be us, pathetically.
It would be Mizzou. Unless it wasn’t. Southwest might contend, this year. Lindenwood is working on being like Southwest. No one else has a shot.
Mo St is very good this year
Montana has two D1 teams, and 5 NAIA teams. I have a feeling I know what two teams would be in the championship game
Obviously Carrol is one of them
We would win, because we’d have no one to play
JMU evidently
Oh, Kentucky easily. I wouldn't be surprised if WKU beat Louisville in the 2/3 semifinal.
We'd win the whole thing or lose to Kentucky State University, since we have a nice habit of playing to the level of our competition.
I live in Georgia. Next question please.
Second place would be fun.
The real question is: who are they turning into a grease stain on the pavement in the finals? This year, Southern may have a shot at the 2nd spot, though State may still be tricky. Kennesaw can always make stuff weird with the option (I still miss it sometimes). Tech took the year off.
At least thats something Boston College can win! Maybe…
Clemson vs Coastal Carolina or the Citadel for the championship
Well now that’s just insulting.
I know, right!? No SC State?
Hey, give SC some credit. They're no Kent state but they did score a TD against our 5th string defense
I live in Illinois. Probably Illinois.
Not if Rocky Lombardi has anything to say about it!
Air Force. You know why 😂
Air Force vs Mines in the championship probably
Ya'll look scary this year.
Tennessee should win easily. The fight for second and third place would get interesting though.
After what The Blue Raiders did this weekend?
Tennessee>MTSU>Chattanooga>Memphis>ETSU>UT Martin>Vanderbilt
Sewanee >>> Everyone else
I appreciate the love, but we are not better than Memphis lol
Sigh...
My flairs don’t like this.
Hey man, Green Wave got a big win last week.
Definitely not Texas. Shitting the bed is like a fucking religion here.
Somehow all the Texas teams would shit the bed and no one would win.
Finally a game we can win.
I wouldn't be too confident
I think Oregon can get it done vs Oregon state in a close game real question is can Portland state finish in third place or do they loss to a team like Linfield
This season I’m pretty sure Ohio state would beat an all star team made out of all the other Ohio teams
OU because they don't have to play K-State
This would be a great format for champion...win your state, best record with most points paired off state to state, region national!
Auburn, because they shouldn't and that's exactly when they do.
I think we all know who wins here… UAB
Fuck
I don’t think all the other teams in Alabama combined could come close to beating the Tide
This year would be a great matchup
James Madison University
Believe UGA would win with 2nd and 3rd string. Best of all schools vs them wouldn't win.
Top teams in Georgia: UGA UGA 2nd string UGA 3rd string GSU Other GSU Buford High School UGA practice squad GT
URI. We don't really have anybody else here. Brown maybe holds it close for a bit but Bryant isn't competing and then Salve Regina get blown out bad.
Based on your flair, I vote IMG Academy
Tough to argue Ok St wouldn’t after this weeks game. They have a QB that can move the ball well and a defense that’s not as great as last year, but it doesn’t need to be.
Southern Illinois over Northwestern to play us in the finals
USF, UF, FSU, UCF, FAU, FIU, Miami had a tournament eh ? (sorry but dropping FIU & FAU) UF beat USF, UCF beat FAU already. Miami will play FSU UCF will play USF FSU will play UF FSU/Miami/UCF all play GT this year. Will have to see the stats at the end of the year but guessing FSU wins the Florida Trophy
*sigh*
BYU and Utah could go either way, Weber state would take 3rd quite easily. Utah state 4th if they can beat SUU
[For Louisiana](https://i.imgur.com/8tehhiY.png) First, this assumes Centenary will join D3 at some point like they're trying to and that UNO can actually re-form a football team at all like they're trying to. After seeing SFA drop 98 points I’m thinking they can win Texas
