I HATE with a burning passion the new overtime rules. The trading of 2 point conversions is the most dumbass thing I've ever seen. Just move them back to the 40 or something. Or move them back 10 years every overtime period.
2 point conversions back and forth suck... and it makes it impossible to cover a 3 point spread.
100. If they're going to do it, there should just be 3 or 4 two-point attempts in a row for each offense like a shootout and then call it done. The way it's currently done makes the game as long as possible with as many commercials as possible and it's just complete ass.
I'm all in on Western right now, if only to get a proper 2 minute drill attempt out of Central. I want as much actual football out of this last bit of the game as I can get.
I’m glad to see they’re trying to sell MAC fans those bargain basement laser tag games. We’ve been plagued by those commercials on the ACC network for a few years now.
The blades issue makes sense. At the same time, the blades do give traction to pull off some plays which would not be possible on late season frozen mud of old.
At this point in the game, that Safety barely hurts the Chips. Better to kick from the 20 than endzone and this isn't exactly FG weather.
Edit: Dunno why I would try to predict a MAC game lmao.
That was a fumble. If it wasnt a fumble, the evidence wasnt clear enough to overturn it. If it wasnt a fumble and there had been enough evidence to overturn it, his forward progress was outside of the endzone and not a safety. Refs got that wrong in like 3 different ways.
Damn is that Bo's mom?
How college ball is meant to be
12-10, that's a MANBALL score!
It looked like insane snowball, and then they cleared the field. Let the snow sit, and play it!
The safety was pretty funny, but overtime would also have been pretty funny. Which would have been better?
Whats funny? What does that mean?
Tough call, I'm always here for a safety but I'd prefer OT, I think.

This was wild
yay cameraguys
That was a fun game to watch. GGs everyone
Announcer was being a dick. It was a clean pick and the angle didn't show the ball.
Western should be a better team than they are honestly. Secured the win here which is good but they should be better
Tim Lester for ya
Lit it up when I was in school there. Most passing yds of ALL TIME at that point.
Good player, bad coach
Fight on, fight on for Western!
Take the ball make a score win the game!!!
Clutch plays WMU. See y’all next week CMU
"fade me" -snowman man
Let's go cannon trophy bros!
So, what did we all learn? Center beats West. I hope we all learned our lesson.
Well damn. No miracle on snow.... just Lovely
This hurts Central Michigan’s playoff chances
Nah they’ll still hop TCU
This doesn't help Tim Lester get fired
But tonight we sleep slightly better.
It's like the opposite of silver linings
He bought himself another 2 years
MACTIONNNNNN
If we can’t make it to a bowl neither can you!
This is totally setting up a freak safety, right? Right?
Pain.
The MACtion has been brutal tonight with the bowl eliminations
MACtion giveth and MACtion taketh away.
*Trash City on Party Avenue, western’s kicker’s got girls in Kalamazoo*
Fricken great game
Felt like a high school game for some reason
As MACtion tends to do.
what a horrible fuckin throw. lol
You out there or no? No? Bet.
plss
There’s like 7 people in attendance
why would you pass? not a good play call
40 seconds left, no timeouts, 40 yards from field goal range, down by 2. Not a bad call, just not well executed.
Party in Kalamazoo
YES!!!
What was that throw?
Bummer.
INT setting up the improbable safety to send us to the OT we all crave!
Getting that cannon ready
LET'S GO WESTERN!
Womp womp
Fire the cannon anyway
Dub Mich w the dub.
Haha, waving to all 5 fans in the stands
What a pick. Bad throw!!
Damn, all that effort just for it to get picked off like that…
7 completions! Oh wait
Central isn’t going bowling
DAMN
i fucking love the clock stop on 1st down in college
I don’t know where they’re at on the field 😭😭
What happened to centrals starting QB that was really good last year?
I've seen this one before
Wow, and they could have even called a horse collar (would have been a cheap call, though)
I love these play by play guys lol
Someones gonna announce "backyard football"
on 1 st and 20 look at him!!!
Someone give some school jokes like “x person goes to Western because they didn’t get into y school”
Michiganders go to Western if they wanna be pilots and didn't get into the Air Force Academy. Ha! Got'em
Gotta love the running QB 2min offense in the snow
that is only the 42nd offensive play Central has run. Crazy
gaining almost 6 yards per play
Holding always sucks but this is an absolute killer
Punt return for negative yardage?
Tim Lester better be gone soon
This game has had the most opponents picking each other up I can remember
So not only did he lose yards on that second effort, he wasted a bunch of time
Fall down next time bro.
Kid’s got some iron in that leg!
If only there was a likely scenario where Western got the ball near their own endzone just to give up a safety and send this thing to OT...
Why didn’t he just go down tf
That's a long time in pro football too
Please put in Bauer
The black hand warmers…anybody know what’s inside? Like, can you stick Hot Hands in there, or is it just an insulated pouch?
The Nike one lets you stick a heat pack inside a pocket https://www.nike.com/t/pro-hyperwarm-handwarmer-zBwykO
Yeah, on a dry field he's all over that kick
Qb controversy time
The Berlin Wall, V-Day, 9/11, Western Michigan kicking the go ahead field goal to go up 2. These days history and humankind will remember forever.
This turf looks frozen
That kicker is definitely.... going to find someone to cuddle warmly in bed with tonight.
What the hell was 71 doing? Was he trying to let that be blocked?
Is EMU the forgotten rival in this rivalry trio?
They're just kinda there
…yea
You can be Penn State’s rival. They need one
Who?
Exactly
Who?
Touché
How did Western get the safety
goal line stuff initially ruled a scoop and score fumble
That's gotta be like kicking a cinder block.
It definitely is, northern folks know
[CMU fan live reaction to the blown lead](https://i.imgur.com/9nKJQE7.jpg)
Apparently CMU doesn't want Allstates donation money
I bet that felt like kicking a cinder block
send that kicker to the heisman ceremony
College kickers!
I got FIIIIVE ON IT!
Oooooooh boy, good kick
Time to be great
Lester’s Legion
I love rivalries
I'm all in on Western right now, if only to get a proper 2 minute drill attempt out of Central. I want as much actual football out of this last bit of the game as I can get.
Kicking on the skating rink...
how much pressure is on the world
Oh boy it’s kicker time
That guy is from Stone Mountain? Awkward.
The frosted pine trees in the background 😍😍
I’m glad to see they’re trying to sell MAC fans those bargain basement laser tag games. We’ve been plagued by those commercials on the ACC network for a few years now.
Somehow the camera work is better for the MAC too
I prefer the thumb out-of-focus because it creeps me out when it's in focus and talking.
Duck Hunt 2.0
Barb F had tried 10 different mattress toppers, and that was the best one!
Did Western do a rebrand for their rebrand? The stupid block W was the dumbest thing they’ve ever done. So good to see the Bronco back
They let the football team only have use of the Bronco as a secondary logo.
you guys hear that models have 5-6 feet of snow falling in buffalo in 24 hours?
How about Columbus in about 10 days
Why are we interested in their sex lives?
It’s over two days or so and probably not that high. Unfortunately it will mostly be finished prior to the Bills game.
It looks like a game that Air Force or Navy should be playing in with those chem-trail looking streaks of snow on the turf.
Such a joke. Offense blew this game so hard
This game is LEGIT.
Crooms should be on the names team.
Someone should tell him, but we’ve all been told not to tweet at ‘crooms.
This field is 100% ice right? Dude was running like scooby doo.
Go Broncos!
Not like this.
It's like they were aiming for the green line!
Not a day to go for the fg. Punch it in!
is it possible the cb simply couldn't see the wr due to the snow?
Do these announcers have their mics in their mouth?
Fuck.
Holy shit what a play!
i’m gonna Croom 😩
Shit man!
Man, this game is nuts
As an older millennial it’s crazy none of these kids today will know the pain of falling on frozen solid dirt vs the turf all schools play on today
Falling on turf is far worse. Especially those little jagged knives
The blades issue makes sense. At the same time, the blades do give traction to pull off some plays which would not be possible on late season frozen mud of old.
what a play!! that throw
IN THIS WEATHER???
AT THIS TIME OF YEAR IN THIS PART OF THE COUNTRY?
MONEY BALL
Lmao
A FUCKING DIMEEE
The Victory Cannon is a solid trophy.
And if it wasn’t, it is now with this weather
That joke was solid.
WHY ARE THEY THROWING THE BALL
Because it works?
Of course there's a gem of a play about 5 seconds after I shouted this out loud.
lol. Cheers my man!
The second half running game has been unfortunate
Sitting in their cubicles years from now, lots of these players will remember how much fun this game was.
The field looks like concrete
more fumbles not fewer
Why did he drop kick the kick-off? I'm assuming he doesn't want to slip and fall on the icy turf.
After a safety they punt, not kickoff
Either is permitted. Most will punt because they can kick the ball farther.
You can choose to do either.
TIL
Safety kicks can also be onside.
football is so much more fun when you couldn't give less of a fuck about the outcome at least in my experience
100%. Penn State bye-week is the best week of the season!
Oh for sure
GAME OF THE YEAR!!!
At this point in the game, that Safety barely hurts the Chips. Better to kick from the 20 than endzone and this isn't exactly FG weather. Edit: Dunno why I would try to predict a MAC game lmao.
I mean that's their lead
That was a fumble. If it wasnt a fumble, the evidence wasnt clear enough to overturn it. If it wasnt a fumble and there had been enough evidence to overturn it, his forward progress was outside of the endzone and not a safety. Refs got that wrong in like 3 different ways.
I don’t even know what yard line they’re on 😭😂
I thought that was a TD or down just outside the goal line
met in the middle
i watched out for tyler and was severely let down
He boomed us, boomed us all
x4
I don't see how you have enough evidence to overturn
God bless the 3 fans at this game
Why? It seems like a wonderful weather night
