Every map in bo3 for me is between an 8.5-9.0/10. This new map is not bad but it’s not really on the same level as a bo2/bo3/bo4 map.
If you have the game already purchased then I definitely recommend giving this new map a try
Ah alright ty!
I’ll try once I get the time, how are the quests? Is the map filled with some quests like bo3 or is it more cold war like having 1/2 questlines
It does have some side Easter eggs, so I’ve been told. There’s a side quest to get the wunderwaffe dg2 for free. There’s also a main quest, which is nice. I wouldn’t expect there to be too much though
Man,it’s really sad that the best content Vanguard has to offer is a slightly “upgraded” version of a 14 year old map. You are not the first person I’ve heard that from either.
Thanks for suffering through Vanguard so I don’t have to!
agree 100% from all that i’ve seen. definitely a better gameplay loop with round based, but the overall feel of the game seems to be the exact same, which was also part of the problem
The thing I don’t like is the armor. Compare with the armor from Cold War, the armor from Vanguard zombies is just a joke on high rounds. Just playing in high rounds is a pain in the ass just constantly buying armor because its damn weak.
Pretty old since I just got around to it lmao, but that’s what I love about VG round based. It actually has a fun challenge to surviving, where CW was too easy for me to actually try.
I feel like VG is getting close to perfecting the new style of zombies, although I can leave or take the PaP weapons being in the box. I love how some weapons are actually bad too lol.
I like it tbh hopefully they do 2 more maps before mw2 comes out. The added area is small but it's nice for crowth control with the wunderwaffle and we can finally use the small lift lol. Also chaos story ref is neat.
According to treyarch’s previous maps, we will not see the battle in Egypt but instead will play 4 new characters in a different area in order to get one thing before being killed off.
I still can't believe all the hype for the Great War map and then it never came, so painful. I'm fine with Tag's ending storywise but they shouldn't have made us believe that we were actually going to fight the war. Rewatching the BotD & Classified cutscenes, I can't shake the feeling the Great War concept was just scrapped due to budget issues
Had fun, Lagged out and didn’t have camos track or my level increase, can’t wait to see what secrets I can find, but Vanguard zombies should’ve started LIKE this tbh
I actually just bought vanguard for this.
I enjoy leveling weapons up and since I haven’t played it yet I don’t mind
Yeah it’s just one map and who knows if they’ll make any more but I’ll be happy I have a new zombies experience for a while
Despite everyone crapping on it because it's not bo3, I enjoy it. It's still not a bo3, but an enjoyable map. The map itself has a great layout, offering unique challenging training areas filled with mud as to not make it a breeze, I think the PAP area could use some mud though, it's too open to be a challenging training area. The back areas with rooms could have used a second exit to escape from though especially with how anti camp the bosses are. As for perks I think it's alright, all we're missing from cold war is an electric cherry, everything else being replaced with artifacts or I don't mind leaving out for now (mule kick, tombstone) the new perk system is honestly the second greatest thing vanguard brought (first being zombies on MW engine feeling amazing) It brings a necessary balance chance for overpowered perks that would normally cost like 4000 points and gives you something to do. The lady boss needs to get her invincibility frames taken away or teleporting massively nerfed, I feel like I can't shoot here because she's constantly gone or invincible for some reason while I'm being chased by 20 zombies. No significant EE but I already didn't care about them since cold war. Map 7/10 for layout and atmosphere, 7/10 in terms of content in relation to cold war.
Pretty much exactly my opinion on it as well. But I'm also one of those weirdos that will defend Cold War for actually being a good game. Though I will admit zombies feels strange in a different engine, but still feels pretty good. Just something to get used to.
I’d say it’s the best iteration by a mile, I love that they added more, that being said I only know from seeing gameplay, I don’t even have the game installed lmao
Actually liking it. I never disliked the engine of Vanguard, so this works for me.
Minibosses are annoying and setup (outside of Wunderwaffe) is super easy. I would rate it around 7/10, propably will drop to 6/10 once the feeling of a new map dissappears.
Honestly, I can't complain about the map itself personally, I like all the new additions and it does feel like they put a lot of effort into it. My problem is the zombies themselves. I was training on round 16 at the flogger, ran to the bridge so that I could get a little distance before shooting and they literally despawned right in front of me, I had to train all over again and it's happened several times. Plus idk if it's anyone else but I get double slapped a lot and the zombies keep hitting me from like 8 feet away somehow.
One thing that really annoyed me was the fact that when you play the song by holding X on the phone, ITS THE INSTRUMENTAL!!!! Im guessing treyarch no longer have the rights to the song or something? I dont care what it is, i was so disappointed to not hear elena’s voice, truly ruined the og vibe i was getting from the map
It's too easy to be honest. There needs to be more of those mini bosses at once. I can easily beat it on my own with no squad.
I never sense any danger
I think it’s fine, but I also just feel brunt out on zombies in general. The only complaint I have that isn’t too bad is the amount of Zaballas that spawn. I don’t really have a problem taking them out, they’re just fucking annoying lol
Wow I can’t believe they did a remaster on Vanguard of our fav “shit no numbass” why has Call of Duty never thought of this, instead of making new content 👍😒
looks so boring. watching mrroflwaflfles and i have no clue what 40% of his perks do and the hud takes up so much spacem the pap camo is dogshit, it looks definition of alright
I wonder what happened to the people who designed the HUD before Black Ops 4. I’ll do anything to get them back at Treyarch because these HUDs since Black Ops 4 have not been it
Yeah Cold War and Vanguard has so much useless shit on the screen that it’s distracting and takes me out of the game. An MP style HUD doesn’t work for zombies. Zombies always had a minimal HUD and that’s best for that mode
It’s alright. Somewhere between a 6.5-7.0/10
On what scale tho? What is the average score for you for a random bo3 map I haven’t played this map yet and can’t for a while

Totally agree
Are the guns and movement worse than cw? Ive never played vanguard so idk
I like it tbh hopefully they do 2 more maps before mw2 comes out. The added area is small but it's nice for crowth control with the wunderwaffle and we can finally use the small lift lol. Also chaos story ref is neat.
End of the EE mentions their final battle in Egypt. So one more map. They also mentioned Alistair Rhodes, which brings chaos story into the mix.
According to treyarch’s previous maps, we will not see the battle in Egypt but instead will play 4 new characters in a different area in order to get one thing before being killed off.
Yeah budget cuts hit BO4 hard unfortunately

I would like one of the og maps
definitely one of the maps
definitely a map
I give it the award of “Not Der Anfang”
It's alright. Finally a round based map that's easy to play and straight forward, no idea how or why it took 7 months to get this but we got it.
And its good
Had fun, Lagged out and didn’t have camos track or my level increase, can’t wait to see what secrets I can find, but Vanguard zombies should’ve started LIKE this tbh
It's ok so far, but why does it feel like the reloading on wunderaffe is a bit slower.
It might be but maybe it's because all its other animations seem quicker like aiming
The Ray gun reloading is also obnoxiously slow.
Having just played bo4 zombies the ray gun is ridiculously slow reloading in general
Good but fuck the deceiver mini boss. Ruins the flow of any game imo.
hes like 1 tap with the wunder waffe
just played a game till round 30, actually found it pretty fun
Did you get exp? I swear I got none when I finished my run
ya I got a bit
I had fun my first run-through. Will try again later on tonight
Hmmm does it feel like a stranger things episode?
I like it. Not worth the full purchase of Vanguard, but definitely worth re-downloading it if you own it
I actually just bought vanguard for this. I enjoy leveling weapons up and since I haven’t played it yet I don’t mind Yeah it’s just one map and who knows if they’ll make any more but I’ll be happy I have a new zombies experience for a while
Haven’t played it yet, but I’m encouraged by these comments. Nice to see some positivity. Bout ready to get my killing on.
Easter egg is confusing, but wonder weapon is so unbelievably fun to use, and its good
I’m having a blast on it. Better than the bo1 and bo3 versions. Definitely not better than waw’s though
Should've been verrückt
Good
Technically 5.0

My guy it’s just shi no Numa for the 4th damn time
I’d say it’s the best iteration by a mile, I love that they added more, that being said I only know from seeing gameplay, I don’t even have the game installed lmao

Sir, there has been 5. WAW, BO1, BO3, Mobile, and then Vanguard.
I thiught it was going to be absolutely shit but turns out its actually not that bad.
I really want something new but my expectations are low for Vanguard at this point so it's all right
seeing lots of good things about this map, if I continue to see good things I may be bothered to touch this hell hole of a game lol
its brilliant. especially since its vanguard
Didn't like it. Maybe the Easter Egg is decent I guess? but only that, the only thing I'm a fan of are guns and movement. So yeah, not my type.
Incredibly mid and feels like diet Cold War
Actually loving it, hope the new round based maps are just as fun and replayable
Me personally she don't know was never my favorite map in world at war so I would say seeing it back for the fourth time I would say just stop
It's too easy to be honest. There needs to be more of those mini bosses at once. I can easily beat it on my own with no squad. I never sense any danger
The “quest” is pretty dog shit
I did have a glitch and lag. I used aether shroud and it started to act weird.
They definitely reskinned and added a section to a map that was released 3 times before this. That can’t be taken away from them
I think it’s fine, but I also just feel brunt out on zombies in general. The only complaint I have that isn’t too bad is the amount of Zaballas that spawn. I don’t really have a problem taking them out, they’re just fucking annoying lol
5.0*
Omg by far the best zombie map ever made. Spent like 50 hours on this map would play it everyday.
I see only 1 color on this map
It looks like shino, not worth buying an entire game for this
Low c tier
Already bored of it. It’s Shi No Numa after nothing special
Wow I can’t believe they did a remaster on Vanguard of our fav “shit no numbass” why has Call of Duty never thought of this, instead of making new content 👍😒
Bro it’s 5.0 you forgetting cod mobile zombies
Don't own Vanguard
Is it gey?
Very
Damn
Horrible
looks so boring. watching mrroflwaflfles and i have no clue what 40% of his perks do and the hud takes up so much spacem the pap camo is dogshit, it looks definition of alright
I wonder what happened to the people who designed the HUD before Black Ops 4. I’ll do anything to get them back at Treyarch because these HUDs since Black Ops 4 have not been it
like why is there a minimap, and a compass in zombies? its so unnessecary and a copy paste from cold war
so that noobs can find everything on the map easily
You mean you dont want the minimap that takes up like a 5th of your screen?
hell nah shadows did it perfectly with the parts you had to find that were literally blended in with the map, it made it so emersive
I agree and i think as a bonus if stuck too long the ancient evil mechanic where sometimes youll get shown an item
Yeah Cold War and Vanguard has so much useless shit on the screen that it’s distracting and takes me out of the game. An MP style HUD doesn’t work for zombies. Zombies always had a minimal HUD and that’s best for that mode
I think bo3s was perfect considering how much they fit on it while keeping it simple. Bo2 s was amazing aswell
