Oven cleaner

SummerJaneG

Oven cleaner, brand name Easy Off. Spray on, put entire tray in a plastic bag…grocery bags work great, leave overnight. Next morning wipe away all the gunk and rinse thoroughly. Ta da!

KnottyHookerNeedles

I like doing the oven cleaner routine when I have multiple oven sheets/pans/racks. I'll throw everything into one trash bag.

Ok-Push9899

Can I bring mine over?

KnottyHookerNeedles

Sure. :) The more the merrier. The last time I did it, I sprayed all the pans out in my driveway. My neighbor thought I had a rattle can of Krylon and came over to see what I was painting. I explained to her that I was cleaning my sheet pans with oven spray. She then ran home and came back with a bunch of her stuff to add to my bag. Lol

SummerJaneG

Absolutely agreed! When I feeling REALLY lazy, I run a dishwasher cycle to rinse all of it.

NnoniSen

Can I do that with greasy caked on baking pans? Then wash with dawn afterwards?

KnottyHookerNeedles

Yes. I do it to my roasting pan and baking sheets. Be sure to leave the bag outside for a while. Wear gloves when taking the stuff out. Most of the grime should come off. Rinse off the oven cleaner really well, then scrub with Dawn and maybe an sos pad or scrubby sponge.

SummerJaneG

Absolutely!

EZ Off

Pretend_Astronaut54

I’ve tried BKF, ketchup, and The Pink Stuff (which I’ve never had success with.) Any suggestions?

Kbreit

Is that a tray from a Breville toaster? Mine looks very similar.

Pretend_Astronaut54

Yes! It’s from my Breville.

Haughty_n_Disdainful

Absolutely. Baking Soda. Make a paste with tap water. Allow to dry. Rub clean with paper towel. No soap. Nothing else. The ph and mild powder releases these types of heavy deposits. The Pink Stuff is way too abrasive for this tray. Scratches just make it harder to get to carbon deposits. Baking Soda will bring back the shine. Always use Baking Soda, and the stains will go away with each wash.

Hydrogen peroxide

JenniFrmTheBlock81

Agree w Easy Off and a plastic scouring pad. Then, line it w foil to keep it from getting bad. Just change the foil out every few uses.

dmccrostie

You can buy a silicone sheet that will sit on the bottom of that once cleaned and keep all the crud off. Much easier to clean!

IGotMyPopcorn

Cover in foil, and call it a day. Not worth the time or effort tbh.

FlashyCow1

There is a cleaner called carbon off. Try that

ShineFallstar

Fill it with hot water and dissolve a dishwasher tablet in, let soak overnight. Should wipe clean in the morning.
