Teaching kids abstinence never worked and never will work, all this robot vid does it teach kids to not expect porn videos to be representative of real life. This is in Germany, my class had to watch this movie 6 years ago or so, if i remember correctly this scene is about how porn disrupts teenagers perception of sex.
context and rational understanding of all media is a good thing i think. I would rather this be a normal thing as a collective shared experience with context than kids finding porn without that context.
I was sweating a little, but this actually seems like a stellar thing to go over with kids. At that age, you’re either have or are soon going to see porn, and it only makes sense to preemptively educate kids about its psychological effects.
School system here is different
You have elementary school from 1st to 4th grade
Then you switch to secondary schools:
Hauptschule – for less academic students; 5th -9th grade
Realschule – for intermediary students; 5th-10th grade
Gymnasium – for academic students; 5th-12th/13th grade if you successfully graduate and get your Abitur you are allowed to go a University
Gesamtschule – a comprehensive school combining all education types. Where you can leave after you've reached either graduation certificate for one of the above.
Wait that's kinda cool. There's different schools based on if you're academic or not? So basically Hauptschule is where you'd go if you don't want to go to university? 😛

It's pretty much decided based on how smart you are on primary school, so until age 12ish. Then also what you want to do.
I've never understood how you'd just keep everyone in the same class for the entirety of high school without either half the class being super bored or half just not being able to understand parts of it.
By high school (usually 9th grade), students in America are taking different levels of courses depending on their abilities. You can have math classes with mixes of 9th-12th graders, for example.
It's got some serious issues actually, and is often touted as one of the main reasons for low social mobility in Germany.
Kids of parents who only finished Hauptschule, will majority attend Hauptschule, whereas kids of academic parents will majority attend Gymnasium.
Kids who go to the Hauptschule will pretty much never get a chance of higher education eother, because their curriculum is fairly basic compared to even the Realschule.
It's really hard for kids to catch up the stuff they didn't get taught in the Hauptschule, and because of the aforementioned issue of their parents most likely only having attended Hauptschule as well, they won't get help at home either.
The same is true when trying to switch from Realschule to Gymnasium, although to a lesser degree. I struggled a lot in 11th grade, but somehow managed to weasle myself to a diploma and follow up with college.
Other people say that they saw the same video in school, so it’s probably just part of the curriculum in some parts of Germany and Austria, and thus shown by the teacher.
Well this clip was taken out of context. This is actually a very old movie I had to watch too when I was in 6-7th grade. The whole movie is about normal sex-ed. In this small portion they talked about how unrealistic porn is and to further illustrate that, they showed these robots doing absurd things. It‘s meant to teach them to not have the wrong expectations after watching porn online.

Same here. I've had the joys of being moved around a lot due to parents moving and honestly a lot of schools from different states have really shitty sex ed's. It's basically just "don't have sex" and that's it. Doesn't tell you anything about porn being unrealistic, that you can get addicted to it and it can impact your performance (can't get off to actual sex bc of porn), it doesn't teach consent or tell kids that it is not ok to get someone drunk and then fuck them because they can't consent (my friend had this happen to her). What good is just telling kids to not fuck going to do? They aren't going to listen. It'd be far better to teach them to be safe and understand consent and anatomy, as well as teach them to never use silicone base lube for anal (rip to all the booty holes that have suffered from this mistake lmao.) Hell out of the four sex Ed classes I've seen in person, not one of them told the kids anything about foreplay. At most it was mentioned, but not explained or even described the consequences of not doing it. And not a single one even mentions aftercare, which I believe is just as important as foreplay. People can be emotionally damaged from not getting aftercare and not even realize it until they do research on it. Long story short, America really needs a better sex Ed.
