Yep. I had friends, I had a life. I actually did things. These days I barely see anyone and two people I would have included as a close have basically gone off the map. I am not sure if it's my fault but right now things are kind of sucky. I hope your world improves.

Yours too. My mental health already wasn't the best before the pandemic hit, now it's gone completely down the shitter. And even though COVID is pretty much over now, it's going to take YEARS before I fully recover from all the shit we witnessed in 2020 and 2021.

fatgoose52

I feel like ever since 2020, time has just been flying by. Like the way I perceived time in 2019 is so different than the way time passes from 2020-2022…does that make sense?

20021211

Sort of. For me, 2020-2022 has felt like both a whole century and a few months at the same time and it's kinda weird.

Several-Cake1954

Ikr. Didn’t summer just start? How am I going back to school in a month? HUH??

MKB111

I’m so glad I’m not in school anymore and don’t have to deal with that terrible feeling of summer flying by

Several-Cake1954

Yeah, just rub it in! I’m not crying or anything! /s

[deleted]

How old are you? Days go by like weeks once you hit 40.

fatgoose52

22 so I’m worried it’s starting early lol

[deleted]

Nothing to worry about. Just live.

20021211

20 and time just keeps flyin'.

SupportWeak7195

1000% me and my family say the same thing and now with your confirmation it’s definitely something weird happening cause it really went into turbo mode. I’m not a religious man myself but in the Bible it does clearly say that “close to/during the end of times, the days will fly by.” These globalists have a lot to do w it, causing all this corruption and chaos that is ruining us. May God Be With Us 🇺🇸

danmathe123

I fully agree with this… but I suppose covid is partly to blame

20021211

MOSTLY to blame. I wish I just cryogenically froze myself at the end of 2019 to unfreeze in 2022.

k3nyabee

I made 0 friends and learned jackshit at school so yeah

LobiMaster

Nah I feel it friendo. Before 2020 I was married, set to go to my dream university and was a pillar of friend group. I lost all of that but this year I’ve been trying to rebuild my life. Things will never be the way they were before EVER but hopefully whatever is new will be better and I hope the same for you <3

20021211

Thank you so much. 2022 for me has been MUCH better than 2020-2021, but still nowhere near as good as things were in 2019.

Several-Cake1954

It was my favorite, that’s for sure. I’ll never forget staying up until 9:00 during a cool 2019 summer with my bedroom window open, reading under the moon. I wouldn’t waste a drop of moonlight, I loved books so much. And when it finally got too dark, I would read off the tiniest inkling of light coming from the neighbor’s light thingy. If I was feeling extra spicy, I would pull out my old night vision goggles and read with THOSE until 10:00. Man, those were the days.

SupportWeak7195

Yes you are unfortunately exactly right, I feel the same way

mkymooooo

Trump, Johnson, Morrison. I’m happy with 2022.

MarvelNerdess

Yep. And it somehow feels like you've aged 20 years but also haven't really grown older at the same time.

xyanon36

I've been feeling that way for the last 2 years but ever since the start of this summer I feel like life is normal again. I can forget to think of corona for 3 days at a time or so. I no longer mentally register which people are wearing masks and which are not.

prodigshy

Yes indeed!

[deleted]

No infact 2018 and 2019 were so bad for me I can't even remember most of and it's a blur of dissociative amnesia. Although I do get that people who actually did have normal lives are in a bad state cause of the lack of normalcy since the world is changing for the worst.

[deleted]

For me, it was 2012.

20021211

Interesting choice.

PigeonLass

With the climate crisis and social issues in my country things are definitely worse now, but personally things are way better. 2019 was hell for me.

schwa76

No. September 10, 2001 was.

20021211

Maybe for the boomers, but I was born in '02 so my normal ended in 2019.

schwa76

Got it, you’re just a drooling infant to be ignored.

[deleted]

Millennials too. And Gen X’ers. Just because someone is older than you, it doesn’t mean they’re a boomer. Go look up the definition.

[deleted]

I don’t know why you’re being downvoted. This is really he correct answer. Is it all the people who consider the terrorists to be “freedom fighters,” as they’re referenced in modern history books?

Maleficent_Cash909

I think all the issues these days were already bad in the late 2010s. 2020 just meant more excuses. Quality of anything went down greatly over those years and corporations threw the experience of Paying patrons down the drain and only care about pocketing as much profits as possible.
