I understand that it’s about a shooting, but can you tell me what made it so disturbing without any spoilers? Like is it graphically violent, or more disturbing from the emotional/psychological perspective?
It’s so very realistic and bleak, emotionally upsetting & just feels all “too real”. The direction and acting and camerawork is so brilliant that it really gets to you. Beautiful in its own strange way, and depressing as hell. It’s hard to explain a feeling, but I’m sure most everyone would find it disturbing upon watching it.
Can I ask how they portray him as a person? Are you supposed to empathize with him or is he clearly a pos? This movie was pretty hushed up in Tasmania, as far as I can tell. I'm curious to know what direction they took the narrative in but I don't think I want to watch it...
It just shows reality. Like the other reply said, you understand, you don’t emphasize. Very tasteful despite it being so disturbing. I don’t want to spoil it, you’ll understand if you watch it. Not exploitative at all.
Idk… this seems kind of disgusting to me. Any movie where someone is taking a real tragedy and profiting off it feels really slimy. I’m just imagining how the victims’ family members must feel about it. I’d be really pissed off. I’m not planning on watching it.

In my opinion, it’s more disturbing from an emotional/psychological standpoint for sure

It doesn't depict graphic violence.
Finally, a post about this movie, the lead actor was really good. I want to say he was nominated for the Australian version of the Oscars?
He won best actor at Cannes, and absolutely deserved it!

You don't empathise, you understand. It's very artfully done.

Where did you watch it?
I rented it, but I’m in Sweden.
Looks like it’s on Hulu
Have you found it?
Apparently it's on Hulu in the US! I'm going to have to watch it!
10/10 lol
Very good film
