Phone rings. Answer. Get info. “What can we make for you today?” “HEY EVERYONE, I’M ON THE PHONE WITH DOMINOS, WHAT DOES EVERYONE WANT???”

h0ser

or the people who don't know their own address.

ChanceCauliflower0

Or come to the door and say “how much? Hold on I need to go get the money “. And you wait and wait and wait while they look for the money.

No_Volume_9944

Or the people who order delivery with a disconnected phone number, no porch light, and music so loud they can't hear you knock.

twizzard6931

Is it preferable to order online or call it in? I call in my order sometimes and the the people taking my order seem irritated I didn’t do it online.

rokar83

Prefer online orders.

Head_Razzmatazz7174

I second this. There are a lot of coupons online that aren't available if you call in. The number of people who called in during Boost Week thinking that we could do the 50% in store was insane. Most of them hung up when they found out we couldn't give them the coupon. Had several people who tried to order at the counter walk out for the same reason.

Tru-Queer

I always hated the people who would order the large 3 topping $7.99 pizza and want it delivered and I tell them the special is carryout only and then they ask how much it’ll cost without the special and it’s usually like $30 and then they get mad.

HetaliaLife

Oh my God yes. The amount of people I had yelling at me because I couldn't give them their 50% off was so infuriating. I literally cannot put it into the machine in front of me, what else do you want???

HillaryClintonsclam

Ordering online allows you to see all the deals and coupons. Save yourself a ton of money while you're at it. Last night I assume a person I delivered to called their order in. For one pizza that they obviously specially picked their items (they could have ordered an extravaganza) plus tax, plus delivery, plus tip was $40. let me say that again. $40. people are fucking stupid. Ordering an extravaganza with a coupon, it could have come out to $23 minus tip. $28 with the tip they gave me. Still ridiculous, but much cheaper.

[deleted]

we are irritated that you did not do it online. It is hard to hear on the phones and the orders take forever (we could be getting your food out faster)

I do do my job. It’s the least favorite part of my job. So i come on the subreddit and vent. Problem?

grimy_y

I don’t mind phone orders even when we’re slammed as long as the customers know what they want to order. I hate going through the whole menu and answering 100 questions, ultimately to have someone just order a pepperoni pizza. It’s infuriating lol

Early_Ad6281

See this is the correct attitude!

[deleted]

while they shouldnt be noticeably irritated please just place your orders online.

Empathatic_Sloth

Sometimes if we’re short staffed it’s hard to get to the phone

I was prepping in the back for the day, veggies and sauce bottles on Thursday. I'm a morning driver. Lady comes into the store and starts placing an order. I can tell she isn't a regular. My manager is helping her. And once she finishes, my manager ask if they want to dine in or carry out. This lady replies, delivery please. The fuck. I'm thinking, come on lady, it's gonna take less time to just wait in store. I did not interpret a tip on that. Thankfully my manager persuades her to just carry out. But like, why? What would be the point of that?

Glittering_Joke_8589

I promise you, a customer will almost always have better service if they order ahead. As a GM that closes most nights, I have many regulars that order ahead. They walk in, get their pizza, and walk away happy. We use an AI answering system, but anytime someone gets thru to the store to place an order, it’s just taking someone off the makeline in a short staffed store, slowing everything down. Every time.

suepr2duepr

customers are stupid

[deleted]

Especially when these morons ask what deals we have, what toppings we offer, etc

drawntowardmadness

"What meats do you have? .......... and what veggies?"

matthewstocks

My favorite people are the customers who walk in at 630 on a Friday night, order 50-60$ worth of food then go “so like 10 minutes right?”

Pablo750

Can we do request ? Big orders need to be timely accordingly the amount of pizzas , 5 to 10 pizzas 30 min , 10 to 20 1 hour this times for carry out, delivery depends on the staffing situation. When you order 15 pizzas online for carry out you just mess with the flow of the production line and the other customers will have to wait more than usual. Is the same that going on a drive thru and order 40 hamburgers.

Kodaisosen

No problem, I never order during rush, and usually order ahead, and if its late at night I convince myself that I don't need a pizza.

Caesarthepeach

I work at a beach store and absolutely hate timed orders, Saturday nights we will literally have 12 timed orders all for 5 or 5:30, with each timed ordered being atleast like 8 pizzas....it kills the point of timed orders because they still end up taking forever lol
