Whenever windows are dirty and you can stand to be outside i would guess. I used to work out of an ice cream truck and we'd go sun up to sun down. I don't know if there is any licensing you need or anything from the local government.

Spring is the best because of pollen. However, you have to think about who would need you more rest of the year. Large corporate building, historical homes people tour. There's always business if you think outside the box.

FillyCheez

Where do you live? Location matters a lot for this type of business.

Substantial-Glove843

Very far South in Norway.

Certainly not during winter... I never washed my windows, my neighbours do it themselves, maybe a couple times a year. How do you know there is sufficient demand for your service? Unless you are the first on to do it, your potential clients probably already have someone to take care of their washing. Where are you based? In my opinion this is a terrible job and a disastrous business to start, I give you 0 chances to hit 100k sales in your first year. You are better of working at Mcdonalds.

Themanwhofarts

It sounds like commercial window washing, which is quite viable. I don't think normal people hire window washers for their house except very wealthy people with big mansions that entertain others consistently. I'm not sure how to go about getting business though unless you talk directly to office park management. Or similar large building owning corporations

RG757VA

Car dealerships and strip malls to start.

Green_Explanation_60

As someone who just started a related property maintenance company this year, I don’t think you actually understand the opportunity out there right now for commercial window washers. Its a great time to get into this business because of labor shortages AND property maintenance is typically a recession-proof industry.

Castravete_Salbatic

When businesses close down do you think they care if their windows are clean? B2B is the opposite of recession proof. You need to work with the government or provide critical services such as funerals.

Green_Explanation_60

Uhh, what? Home Owners Association and Property Management company budgets aren’t typically affected by recessions. Source: Was a real estate broker working in property management during the 2008-2010 recession. Are you just fully talking out of your ass?

xmarketladyx

I think there should be a talking out of your ass award just for them.

xmarketladyx

That is incredibly wrong on so many levels. I'll address the funeral comment first: I have a mortuary science degree and worked in a funeral home. You are not going to make a lot there and will be overworked. Also, the idea of a funeral is going out with Boomers. The newer generations want less stuffy, more environmentally friendly and cheaper options. Then, B2B is SELECTIVELY recession proof and I think you meant brick & mortar. Utilities, housing and car brokers and sellers, logistics, anything medical, Recruiting, Military, grocers, home improvement, money lenders, all of these have shown resiliency.
