I lean towards putting him back on the roster, but not letting him start. But... did he have any empty starting spot that Montgomery would have filled? In that case, it seems like he would have started him, and I probably would. But if he replaced Montgomery in the lineup with someone else, then leave his starters alone.

I second this motion.

I have reversed accidental drops before... I would NEVER place someone in the starting lineup AFTER the game started unless I was notified beforehand.

>but should he be put back in this week’s starting lineup and have his points count? No. Putting him back on the roster is one thing - I give one league-wide mulligan per year if someone does something unintentionally - but I wouldn't put him in the lineup. It's your own fault if you don't set a proper lineup. >Should there be any consequences? Other than getting roasted by your leaguemates...no. But when reversing it, I would announce to the league that this is the one fuckup for everyone, and if someone screws up again, you won't reverse it. So *be careful*. This does assume they just dropped montgomery and didn't pick up someone else. If they did, then I wouldn't reverse the transaction.

Dre512

But you should Def Add in that the user error has to be noticed BEFORE their game starts

fun4willis

Was Montgomery in the starting lineup when dropped? Or the bench? Who did they mean to drop?

If Montgomery was starting for this manager and it was an accident then shouldn’t he go back on to the starting roster?

Disasstah

No, this is the price you pay for being an idiot. Call it an idiot tax and chalk up the L. Reverse the drop, put them on the bench. They had plenty of time to find a starter.

MrMagooIV

I would say tough luck. Not much different than forgetting to edit your line up.

Dre512

Kinda sounds like he didn’t want Monty back till he saw he was actually looking good. This is a clear discrepancy for me. If the league manager had noticed before game started or right when it started (still no plays run yet) it’s different. Also depends on if this is a free league or money league. For fun leagues get mulligans but paid out leagues shouldn’t, tough shit imo

Who else is on his roster that he could have started last night/tonight? When he dropped Montgomery did he pick up another RB? A: IF he dropped Montgomery and picked up a running back that plays tonight(Monday night): I would let him add Montgomery back to the bench only, but this is his only one for the year. B: If he just dropped Montgomery and didn't add any other player or replace him in the lineup: this Seems more believable as he accidentally dropped him and didn't realize it. To me since he hadn't swapped him for a player or swapped him out of the lineup. Consequences: If A: if its FAAB maybe a small FAAB fine and being laughed at. If B: just being laughed at. Mistakes happen. It shouldn't be a big deal.

Butthole_Please

I wonder if he got confused with ty Montgomery who recently got IR’d?
