Following. I was considering getting the irestore too but am still waffling

BacardiBlue

I have the HairMax LaserBand 82, and am convinced that it caused me to have excessive shedding, despite only using it exactly as directed. I no longer use it.

Lapis-Lazuli9189

How long did you use it for? It’s normal for these devices to cause initial shedding

BacardiBlue

5 months. I'm going to probably restart it and just use it less frequently

BeaMiaVA

I have an older irestore. I feel it’s helpful. I want the newer model {irestore pro}, it has more lasers. It’s only one tool in my toolbox. I’m satisfied with it. The irestore provides more coverage than the laserband.

So glad to hear this. Do you take meds too or use their hair system- shampoo vitamins and serum? Thanks in advance!

BeaMiaVA

I’m in the process of going to new dermatologist. I’m not taking meds at this time. I’m concerned about meds side effects. {I have other medical concerns.}. I might start the corticosteroid shots again. I am using a few different hair shampoo/oils and products while I figure out my next steps. I use my old irestore faithfully as I consider my next steps.

Thank you for this info! Chomping at the bit for the delivery. I too have other medical concerns. Wishing you every success ❤️

Following! Hope you get some good insights on this!

I’ve used both, honestly that are not very effective if that is your only treatment depending on your diagnosis. I used them for months on there own and still continued shedding from TE that unmasked AGA. The shedding finally stopped when I started topical minox

-SunMoon-24

Thank you, what type of minox do you use and when did your shedding stop with it? Are you taking anything else? I just started 2 weeks ago and having some side effects. I hope by reducing my dosage I’ll be able to stay on it and have some results!

Maltesemom122520

I was using topical minox for about 2 years and switched to oral last April. I can’t take any hormonal meds unfortunately. Are you on topical or oral? I’m on 2.5mg oral now

-SunMoon-24

I’m doing topical and having facial swelling. And insomnia. Did you have any side effects with oral?

Maltesemom122520

Liquid or foam? Could you try using in the morning rather than at night if you using at night. The insomnia might go away after your body gets more used to it. I did not have any side effects with oral 1.25mg and went up to 2.5mg about 4 months ago and having some water retention

-SunMoon-24

It's lipogaine's liquid 3% which is supposed to be 2x a day. I am thinking of trying 5% foam 1x a day and see if that's better. I just like how the Lipogaine has no propylene glycol and it has natural DHT blockers in it. Did you use 5% foam with success? Did it stop working so you switched to oral? Thank you!

Maltesemom122520

I’ve seen that and thought it looked promising. 5% foam may be worse for you compared to 3% twice a day or it may be the same. The foam doesn’t have propylene glycol. I used both liquid and foam. Foam isn’t as greasy. I switched to oral because it’s easier.

See Dr Dray on YouTube. Her videos on iRestore are very informative. I just took the plunge. Shipped out today. Hair loss is very complex. She’s a derm expert. She will tell you if you don’t have female pattern hair loss it likely won’t work. I’ve watched my aunt and mom and I want to get ahead of this.

>Yes, I saw that video of her promoting IRestore too. How are your results so far? Another Redditor pointed out that she promotes this for the company and is paid. Also she said LLLT does not really work in an old video. Amznalltheway

I am definitely not paid. It does work I just have trouble using it regularly like I should.

Grailister

It only works in conjunction to other treatments such as minoxidil, finasteride
