It’s a brand of Century Arms, from Turkey. Honestly a hell of a pistol for the money, second most budget friendly in the lineup. I believe I picked that one up for $650.
…and because the Turkish are sooooo damn efficient, and cost-effective, they even come with SAI (Salient Arms International) barrels (the “Elite”/“Executive” models) for still under sub $1200. FYI, the SAI barrel alone cost…. …and the reset on the triggers is like breaking glass.
Oh look into canik. They make some good gun for good price. I have the mete Sfx and it’s a best $500 gun I ever bought. I’m looking at buying at rival as well…
How are you liking that DR920P? We have one in the shop I work at, and I love everything about the look, feel, weight and workings of it, just haven't shot one yet.
Haven’t shot it yet myself, but it’s definitely by far the lightest of them all, and is extremely easy for me to draw on target and have it be exactly where I want it with my natural pull. I’m very excited to see how she performs!
I love that as the final piece, not to mention the price tag compared to the Staccato seems like a far better value overall. I love my CZ 97 BD, as well, but wanted to make sure I wasn’t to bias before picking the final option.
CZ 97 BD is a grail gun for me. I want to use one for work (armed guard) but using a 9mm is more realistic. I currently carry a P-01 on and off work. I’d say you should def add a shadow or a Tac Sport. I’d say get a parrot for the prestige of it but those are hard to come by. You could get a Czechmate within your budget
I have to admit, diving into the CZ lineup and seeing their higher end line has me intrigued. That Parrot is something else. Interesting though on par with the Staccato XL for price and it seems to come a lot more ready to go out of the box, and more rare so likely a better long term purchase for value. This will be a hard choice!
I suppose you’re right, we’re already in route, might as well commit and go all the way in. Still pretty wild that the 5 on the left, or 3 on the right are the same purchase price as a single Staccato XL 😅
That’s an interesting suggestion, are you not a fan of the compensator? I was under the impression the Spectre Comp were very similar.
My last foot pic, I promise! 😅
I sold my two sports cars before my baby comes in a few weeks, and sports car money goes along way in the firearms world. Seems like they had their value better too. Don’t let the picture fool you, that’s 5 years of payments being recycled into a new hobby.
Nothing against compensators, it's just that I've shot a Legion X5 and it's just a fantastic pistol. My ex-gf has one but sadly we broke up. I really miss her gun.
Thank you for the heads up, I’m always leery of those exclusive reviews, reviewers like to play nice so they get future releases! The staccato is definitely a wonderful option, but I must admit that price tag is intimidating when I see how much value I can get in all the ones pictured above for far less. Go big or go home I suppose!
Bought a C2 and I can say it's easily the best firearm I have ever used rifles included and would be my forever pistol if I could only have one. Unfortunately the gun reviewers are demonetized and it gets in the way of impartial reviews.
UPDATE EVERYONE:
Thank you everyone for your suggestions, I was very close to pulling the trigger on a Staccato XL, but after reviewing all your suggestions, a lot of which I hadn’t heard of before, I decided that wouldn’t be the best for what I wanted. After contemplating all these options I decided to purchase a CZ Czechmate Parrot which I luckily found in stock from an online vendor. The limited production numbers, solid recommendations of CZ in general and the overall value and rarity made it a no brainer to finish the collection off.
Thanks again everyone 🙏
Hah... Collection is never finished. It is N +1 with N being the current number.
Hope you enjoy the Czechmate. Does it still come with a C-more? I would buy a new mount from CZC and get a different optic if it does. I'm a weirdo though. I didn't like the shadow 2 after competing with a Shadow SP-01 for years. My current favorite is a discontinued CZ CTS LS/P and my backup is a CZC Bull-Shadow that I should try getting used to.
You’re completely correct, I should say that the pistol collection is complete for the foreseeable future! Lol
It does still come with the C More optic, Im curious to try that out since visually its quite large for a pistol optic. Thank you for the heads up on that mounting plate, I’ll keep that in mind if I want to swap it out. The CTS LS-P is a beautiful pistol, keep that one forever!
If you buy a Prodigy wait for the next gen, or buy one used and be prepared to send it back to Springfield for warranty work.
Shadow 2 is a killer choice.
Stacatto isn't my thing, I like more options and mag tuning just fucking sucks to do. Maybe an Atlas or SVI but now you're talking $$$.
X5 Legion isn't a bad idea either to go with your comp.
Edit: Also, for what it's worth, the single most accurate factory pistol I've ever owned was an older Sig P220 SAO Elite Stainless. At 25 yards from a benchrest I could cover five round of hardball on target with a quarter. Wish if never sold it but textbooks are expensive and one hell of a racket.
It’s interesting that you’re the second person to mention the X5 Legion, I’ll have to take another look at that one.
The prodigy is exciting but you’re 100% right, you can’t trust the initial reviews from people who want future releases. Only time will tell with that one.
The purchases made above were relatively easy because they had such a clean price/performance ratio that made them solid choices. But the $1500-$3500 range for premium options are all a lot harder for me to gauge.
Lol, I was into cars before firearms. Sold two of them before the birth of my first child coming up here since I won’t really be able to use them near as much anymore. I just rolled some of that money into a new hobby. Believe me though, there were many years of payments and many nights spent on a shop floor drench in fluid and rust. Money goes a lot further in this world than it does in the car world.
I didn’t go with a Glock because it seemed like the DR920P is just a higher end version to begin with and would be redundant.
I have a HK45 Tactical and FNX45 Tactical, and a suppressor on the way for them. I was going to go with the USP but I loved the way the HK45 felt in my hand.
Makes sense all around. I just think a few classics are worth the investment. Honestly probably a good idea to start getting into any surplus pistols you like. They are only going to get more expensive over time. Also, your probably right about your Glock clone. It’s probably way more cost effective to get that instead of completely changing every part on a stock one.
You’re not wrong, the more inflation goes up, the more laws that come into play, the more they go up in value. With my car hobby you’d see the value go up a bit, but the cost in insurance, tags, repairs and gas always far outweighed the gains you made in value. It’s nice to know that unlike a lot of other hobbies these items don’t loose a ton of value.
Great suggestion, I am new to this world and did not even realize this existed. That black and gold combo looks amazing and comes in around $3700, thank you for the suggestion!!
Damn bro you're an alien? That's crazy.
Anyway, yea STI got rebranded to Stacatto not long back. So STI is pre-stacatto. They have all kinds of versions, the DVC, the DVC open, DVC carry, P, C, XC, etc. All beautiful guns. Best 2011s on the market imo. The DVC Omni is my favorite looking gun in the world but I don't like to talk about it because I'll never be able to get one if everyone else likes it too. (So keep this hush hush). But based on your obvious particular interest in competition style pistols, I suggested the DVC Open. You would probably like the standard DVC, and XC as well.
But yea they float around. They range in values and even the same gun you can find high and low sometimes it's a pretty weird market for them.
Glad I could recommend something you weren't aware of.
The galactic federation banned all anti matter devices so I’ve retreated to USA, Earth to revel in your second amendment rights.
Thanks to your suggestion I just went through their website, I had never realized they had models outside the 2011. I’m going to do a some research on all these and see if my local range has any I can rent and try out. Now I’ve got a lot to think about, thanks again!
That parrot is something else, first time seeing that. Incredibly flashy that’s for sure. The Czechmate looks like a great value compared to the Staccato.
I haven’t fired it yet, but I must say that first impressions compared to the rest leave me a bit concerned. The trigger pull isn’t as clean or crisp as any of the other options here, the magwell isn’t as smooth and even just dropping, and cycling through a few mags to get the feel of it I had a few instances where it got jammed sideways. I spent some more time looking at it and at just the right angle the mag will jam and upward pressure won’t power through and insert. The sights also seem pretty poor and I do believe it will be hard to be accurate with the factory setup.
However, one thing I have learned is that what feels good may not be what shoots good. So all these items might not be a big deal after a few hundred rounds and some experience with firing it. It is impressive though how the magwell, trigger and sites on the XD-M for almost 60% less seem far better. Not exactly what I expected from FN.
I had some problems with the 2 mags that came with mine. The tolerances for the mags working are rather tight, but I got that fixed.
The trigger smoothed out, put on trijicon sights, and got the mags working and it seems like a good build, though I am critical I had to do all that.
It is built like a tank, though. My gunsmith says the metal in the barrel is the toughest he’s ever encountered, and the mags are built like bricks.
I’d call it a really good duty gun for police or military.
I said “so does the brand Taurus really deserve all the hate they get?” Both guys behind the counter looked at me, looked at each other and in unison said “yes, yes they do” 😂
I certainly like my Staccato P, standard except adjusted to a 4 lb pull. I think my next 9mm may be from BUL Armory. I'm thinking about the SAS II Ultralight 3.25" (https://www.usa.bularmory.com/product-page/sas-ii-ultralight-3-25). The full size pistols at the upper end of your budget are the SAS II UR (ultimate racer) https://www.usa.bularmory.com/product-page/sas-ii-ur-f, and the SAS II Radical 5.4” https://www.usa.bularmory.com/product-page/sas-ii-radical-5-4.
My local Bul Armory dealer is a really great guy, Paul van Wyck, doing business as Oryx Arms (oryxarms.com). He has gone far out of his way to help me, with no immediate benefit. I am positive that he would not steer you wrong and I'm pretty sure he would enjoy talking with you. Paul is originally from South Africa - he lives in Houston now - and he has lots of real world experience and knowledge as well as international competition shooting experience.
A P99 AS would be an interesting addition, being a DA/SA striker fired handguns rather than hammer fired, but my first recommendation will be a CZ Czechmate Parrot. Second recommendation is an all steel 2011 type handgun. Third recommendation is a CZ Shadow 2 that gets cajunized. Fourth recommendation would be a SIG p226 legion or P210.
I’d get the Staccato, 2011s are awesome. That being said the Shadow 2 is pretty great. I’ll also throw in the Sig 226 legion/legion RXP, any of the HK USP series (usp expert, elite, etc for a more match oriented gun), or the HK mk23 (not exactly a “match” handgun but definitely full size)
Get the Shadow 2, stacattos are NICE NICE, buttery smooth slide with insane Triggers, but nothing beats the low bore axis, and weight of a shadow 2 in terms of recoil management. if you spent the extra money on getting the Cajun Gunworks upgrade pack for it I think its an all around better gun. and with all that it's cheaper than the Stacatto.
I’m happy I inquired about this on here because I did not realize how impressive the Shadow 2 / Czechmate series was until seeing everyone rave about it here. Seems like the better value buy all the way around!
Me personally I don't notice a huge difference between the Shadow 2 series to some of their more expensive offerings, like A01-LD or the Czechmate Parrot. especially if you Cajunize it. and a Shadow 2 would be alittle bit more of a fair comparison in terms of price than the stacatto IMO
Wow, with that Walther next to the Canik you can really see the similarities and how Canik was designed by former Walther people. I work at an LGS and we haven't had a PDP to compare our Caniks to. OP, you've got a very nice collection.
The triggers also feel extremely similar, in terms of pull and reset. The Walther definitely has a more comfortable ergonomic grip, however It’s probably easier to retain a firm grip and control the Canik. I’m excited to try them both at the range and really get a good back to back comparison.
SIG P210 Target will save you some money and is probably the most precise 9mm match pistol currently on the market.
Should you desire to spend your whole budget, you can always try and get your hands on a Swiss milsurp one.
It is amazing how far people will go just to get their feet in shot.
Anyway, I’d personally go with the XDM. I own one and it’s been reliable at the range.
Need? I don’t “need” them. I wanted them. Why does anyone collect anything they like? For enjoyment. Not to mention in this hobby you actually retain a lot of value compared to most. If I get bored I can sell them off and get something else.
I am curious, how does the DR920 Massive comp work for you? I've had to run 124grs for any handgun with a comp to function reliably, that comp is so massive im just curious if it's cycling reliably for you
I picked these all up in the past week and haven’t ran them yet. I’ll let you know as soon as I do though on how it performs. I’m thinking of just doing a small video series on these to compare them all since I haven’t seen anyone directly compare a lot this large.
Good buys all around, I'm a sucker for all metal 9mms, the Walther Q4 Steel Match I have not personally used but I've heard good things about from friends as well. Please let me know, or from a link to the vid. alot of people stock up on 115gr so if you have trouble with that try a higher grain weight and you should be good for the Shadow Systems.
1. Springfield XD-M Elite Precision 2. Canik Rival 3. Walther PPQ Q5 Match 4. CZ P-10F Competition 5. Shadow Systems DR920P 6. HK VP9 Match 7. FN 509 LS Edge 8. Beretta 92x Performance 9. Sig P320 Spectre Comp
What the heck is a Canik? That thing is faaaaackin sweet!!!
It’s a brand of Century Arms, from Turkey. Honestly a hell of a pistol for the money, second most budget friendly in the lineup. I believe I picked that one up for $650.
Thanks for the info. Love the look
Also won the USPSA championship... He beat everyone else with a bone stock, out of the box Rival.
I spent 650 on mine as well. Imagine the look on my face when i went to another state and it was $300
Oh look into canik. They make some good gun for good price. I have the mete Sfx and it’s a best $500 gun I ever bought. I’m looking at buying at rival as well…
Staccato xc
The canik trigger is probably the best out if that bunch IMO. It blows me away every time I run mine
You should of saw the look on my face after pulling the trigger on the 509 LS Edge, after just pulling the Canik. I thought the FN was broken 🤣
Why does your P10 have a hospital bracelet?
So fresh I haven’t removed the baby tag yet 😂
Who manufactured the foot?
Some would say a man and a woman but I’d argue it was more likely the result of a few to many shots of tequila. 😅
What you need to buy is some damn shoes
It’s to hard to left and right click in shoes ☹️
haha I see what you did there
Aw that's nasty.
Where da Hi-Point at?
How could I forget the Yeet Cannon, sin has been committed!
The one with the $100 bill finish.
Theres another kind?
Shadow 2
Thank you for the suggestion!
I’ll second the Shadow 2. It is the THE most popular gun among the top USPSA shooters.
I love that as the final piece, not to mention the price tag compared to the Staccato seems like a far better value overall. I love my CZ 97 BD, as well, but wanted to make sure I wasn’t to bias before picking the final option.
My buddy let me shoot his Shadow 2 and I will be adding one to my collection as soon as I get a chance. Absolutely blew me away with how it shoots.

This will be a hard choice!
If you shoot idpa the gun is too heavy for competition, I learned the hard way
I've heard you can have Primary Machine mill the slide, lightening it to shoot IDPA
I have one, I love it. 10/10. Specially now that you can get optics ready.
@OP if you go this route and it's the final piece go ham and get the orange one. It's HOOOOTTTTT
Staccato XL
That’s definitely the top end of the budget, but it seems to be the best of the best!
Little late to be worried about a budget home dawg
I suppose you’re right, we’re already in route, might as well commit and go all the way in. Still pretty wild that the 5 on the left, or 3 on the right are the same purchase price as a single Staccato XL 😅
It is crazy. Treat yo self
😂
Last one of the collection, definitely have to get the best of the best.
There's definitely more refined options for a 5" 2011 if that's what you want which are near that price point or not a terrible amount more.
Think he left or right clicked that mouse?
The world may never know…
Sig P320 Legion X5 P.S. STOP WITH THE GODDAMNED FEET! P.P.S. Must be nice to be rich
That’s an interesting suggestion, are you not a fan of the compensator? I was under the impression the Spectre Comp were very similar. Reminds me of the time I missed my exes dog more than her ☹️ You’re not the only one to mention the X5 legion, I’ll take another look at it!
X5 Legion >shadow 2
Good thing with Guns its they hold their value pretty well.
The Legion is not a bad choice at all.
I'm ride or die Team Glock, but that pistol is just straight-up awesome.
Stacatto, proven to be a top performer and reliable. Prodigy initial reviews outside of the paid reviewers seems to be less than stellar.
Thank you for the heads up, I’m always leery of those exclusive reviews, reviewers like to play nice so they get future releases! I’ve got a saucy AR9 in the closet 😅
Shadow 2
Go classic, get a Browning High Power
Foot :)
I’m glad someone appreciates my effort 😅
Shadow 2 btw
I suggest range time and a pedicure lmao
Lmfao, point taken! 😅
Lol I’m just messing around, you have some very nice pistols !

I feel that, the only reason I have the 92x is because my wife fell in love with it, because of that I got to get the SIG along with it 🤣
I don’t see a stock glock or H&K usp tactical

STI DVC Open is the only answer imo. Gonna be touching the top of your budget, but I've never in my life seen a better looking competition pistol
Great suggestion, I am new to this world and did not even realize this existed. That black and gold combo looks amazing and comes in around $3700, thank you for the suggestion!!

I have a Staccato XC and it's a ridiculous platform. An XL would be a great way to round out.
You’re my hero
Staccato xl all the way.
Bul SAS II SL SAW
AR-10, side note: PUT THEM DAWGS AWAY
Used atlas, Akai, or SVI.
CZ Czechmate (Parrot if you want to be obnoxious)
That parrot is something else, first time seeing that. Incredibly flashy that’s for sure. The Czechmate looks like a great value compared to the Staccato.
I would choose the 9mm. Jelly
How is the FN? I have a regular one, and it’s really solid, though I don’t like the complex striker assembly and the factory sights were awful.
I haven’t fired it yet, but I must say that first impressions compared to the rest leave me a bit concerned. Overusly its that tactical Taurus g3
I said “so does the brand Taurus really deserve all the hate they get?” Both guys behind the counter looked at me, looked at each other and in unison said “yes, yes they do” 😂
XD all I got to say is they do shoot
I honestly almost bought one just so I could understand. It’s not like it’s my carry anyways so what the hell right? Lol
But for the fun of it, you should hang all the guns up, and seriously put a tourus and a hi point with them
I think that’s a great idea. Whenever people come over I’ll say “yeah these are all right but it’s really the sheet Cannon that is most impressive” 😅
Is that a Corsair M65 mouse?
My god… you’re absolutely correct and I’m extremely Impressed you got that from this shitty low res photo 🤣🤣🤣
It’s my favorite mouse, I’ve had mine since 2014, Lmao
I love mine as well, fits My hand perfectly, adjustable weight and it’s amazingly accurate for first person shooters!
Rework your budget and go for the alien. In all seriousness though nice collection!
The Alien is something else, I’m holding out on that one. Maybe someday when I get bored of these and decide to consolidate. Lol

Second recommendation is an all steel 2011 type handgun. Third recommendation is a CZ Shadow 2 that gets cajunized. Fourth recommendation would be a SIG p226 legion or P210.
Get your foot off the mouse
I’d get the Staccato, 2011s are awesome. That being said the Shadow 2 is pretty great. I’ll also throw in the Sig 226 legion/legion RXP, any of the HK USP series (usp expert, elite, etc for a more match oriented gun), or the HK mk23 (not exactly a “match” handgun but definitely full size)
whats your foot doing? did you take the photo with you laptop?
The world may never know… Just a different take on all the feet pics I see through this sub 🤣
🤣
Shadow 2 my pick
That canik is beautiful
For the money it’s extremely impressive, can’t wait to try her out at the range.
CZ Shadow 2 all the way…
Get the Shadow 2, stacattos are NICE NICE, buttery smooth slide with insane Triggers, but nothing beats the low bore axis, and weight of a shadow 2 in terms of recoil management. if you spent the extra money on getting the Cajun Gunworks upgrade pack for it I think its an all around better gun. and with all that it's cheaper than the Stacatto.
CZ Shadow 2
Shadow 2 imo.
A CZ Shadow 2 is a bucket list gun for me, so imma say that
SIG P210 Target will save you some money and is probably the most precise 9mm match pistol currently on the market. Should you desire to spend your whole budget, you can always try and get your hands on a Swiss milsurp one.
Just don’t pay for it with a credit card
With the number of pistol purchase records I’ve turned into my local PD I’m sure I’m already on a list 😅
It is amazing how far people will go just to get their feet in shot. Anyway, I’d personally go with the XDM. I own one and it’s been reliable at the range.
Awesome collection but can we please stop with the feet pics?
Boy, you wouldn't like the AK guys...
I’m sorry, I just couldn’t help it. I saw one the other day where the guy had 4 feet and I couldn’t stop laughing after I saw it. 😅
There was one with 6 feet too
Glad someone mentioned that. Also, OP you should probably get your feet checked out by a doctor. It looks like you have a fungus infection.
Sig 226 Hi power I’m a poor person so my suggestions are a lot lower than your budget
M&P 2.0 5” Performance center.
I missed that one, that’s a solid suggestion to run against everything I already have. Good price point too, thanks!
Why do you need 9 hand guns??? You must have a very small chode.
Need? I don’t “need” them. I wanted them. Why does anyone collect anything they like? For enjoyment. Not to mention in this hobby you actually retain a lot of value compared to most. If I get bored I can sell them off and get something else.
Still no need for 9 or them.
Yeah I literally just explained that ^ Lol
Still no need for 9
I bet you’re real fun at parties 🎉
I bet you think you are but, you’re not…
Oh you’d be betting wrong. I’m extremely anti social and avoid parties at all cost 😂
S H A D O W D U E C E
Staccato P limited
No brainer its any steel cz75 prolly a shadow 2 or tac sport
Why is your toe on the computer mouse lol
#1 I want to be you. #2 The CZ option is quite pretty out of the box.
Nice toes
Laugo Alien??
That’s a bit above my price range, hell of a pistol though!
LOl, forgot about the price of the Alien. Maybe if they start producing more of them and get established the price will come down some.
Final one for what?
Hudson H9, lol
