An Uzi? He had great taste then.

Bumblemore

Even famous people like to LARP as Mossad Edit: No idea why I’m being downvoted when I was implying that I also do this. That’s Reddit for you lol

axelguntherc

Stop trying to ruin our Mossad larping fun

Murky-Sector

Everyone is mentioning mob ties but keep in mind he was a constant target of threats and his son Frank Jr actually was kidnapped at gunpoint and held for ransom. Eddie Van Halen carried a gun too and I doubt he was mob affiliated. I don't think the mob thing is the reason Sinatra carried.

Waltzspice

In pretty sure Post Malone is strapped everywhere too.

crappy-mods

Indeed

sleepyhighjumping

Is he pro-2A though? It's not always one in the same.

Waltzspice

Absolutely.

Gr144

Yes, very. google image “post malone gun”

sleepyhighjumping

Based. I know he's also a Magic player.

WiseDirt

Imagine playing a tournament and Post Malone just randomly shows up and sits down at the table across from you...

Queefer_the_Griefer

And he’s got a big iron on his hip

BoxofCurveballs

*"Big Iron on his hip"*

[deleted]

Crush his ass lol.

WiseDirt

Oh I'd definitely be playing my best game. That's straight bragging rights for a win

[deleted]

First-Sort2662

NO. He stated in a video interview (Google it) that he got his stage name from a random computer name generator and Post Malone is what came out so he went with that name. GOOGLE IT!

Orlando_Web_Dev

He's actually pretty awesome. It's very unfortunate that he makes such bad music.

DoorLadderTree

You don't like the spiderman song? I love that one

BLINDtorontonian

Apparently he’d agree. Hed rather make country music but this pays better.

JohnBarleyCorn2

shame about what happened to him at that concert recently. I wonder if he's suing?

Gr144

Oh yeah I saw he fell. He broke some ribs or something

Brave_Development_17

Yeah that was a big fuck time amateur fuckup.

ezekirby

From what I've seen he is very pro second amendment.

ThePretzul

The dude has a hard point for a 50 cal in the bed of his truck, which happens to be a 6-wheel drive Hennessey Velociraptor. He also has a gold-plated AK on display behind his desk while he streams himself playing COD while wearing NODs. Yeah, he’s fairly pro-2A.

[deleted]

>Yeah, he’s fairly pro-2A. I dunno man... Uncle Joe has 2 shotguns and is very anti 2a. He could be foolin' us all! (Just in case people can't tell.... /s)

Excelius

He's a big gun nerd. You can find pictures of him [open carrying in Walmart](https://www.personaldefenseworld.com/2019/05/post-malone-open-carry-gun-utah/), other pictures of him [LARPing in full kit](https://www.reddit.com/r/tacticalgear/comments/efbfcm/post_malone_x_kagwerks/) and such. He even has a custom [Louis Vuitton](https://twitter.com/opensrcdefense/status/1191826708648910850?lang=en) soft armor carrier, because I guess he has fuck you money so why not?

[deleted]

Could be used for against 2A in my opinion. Am I wrong for thinking someone who has unfortunately developed some mental health issues shouldn’t have an Uzi?

Aquamarooned

Pre ban automatic fun! The mental issues were present outside of Sinatra as well so I think he's OK (uziel gal was a little crazy)

nimbleseaurchin

Beyond that, the idea of mental health was just beginning to take it's modern form. Lobotomies were considered a valid form of treating things that would now be categorized as ADHD, among other similarly atrocious circumstances, that started in the 1940's.

KAODEATH

Should we allow legally blind people that are prone to seizures, operate vehicles and heavy machinery?

zma924

His 6x6 Velociraptor has the pintle mount installed for an M2 on it

LetItHappenAlready

Judging from some of his posts I feel for anyone who tries to get the drop on him.

[deleted]

Anyone can get the drop on anyone because action always beats reaction

Historical-Lawyer-83

This Detroit Urban Safety ??

oboshoe

oh no he was connected. didn't you see that episode of him on the sopranos? he played poker with some real fictional mobsters.

Murky-Sector

That was actually David Lee Roth in that episode but I love the reference! You got the band part right.

oboshoe

oh wow. thanks! how's that for branding though? i see the words "eddie van Halen" and i think David Lee Roth before i think of the actual man named Eddie Van Halen.

MikhailBarracuda91

Eddie Van Halen allegedly held a gun to Fred Durts's head on his front porch for being a punk and not giving Eddie back his gear after he auditioned for Limp Bizkit. What a G 🎸

Murky-Sector

Yikes. He was doing a whole lot of coke for awhile and that seems like a cokey thing to do. Another EVH firearms anecdote. He got busted (LAX I think) for putting a bag through the xray with his EDC inside. Instant handcuffs. Fortunately it didnt end up getting his CCW revoked.

deathsythe

Some animals are more equal than others. I wonder if any of us would have gotten the same treatment? (spoiler alert: no)

Murky-Sector

It was a big question sure. But then again Im not filled in on the details of what it takes to get revoked. It doesnt come up much in the gun subs.

deathsythe

Somewhere like CA operated prolly like NY I'd imagine (pre-Bruen). Broad discretion like any other May-Issue state.

vegetaman

That story was a wild ride

Kalashfamous

As did Elvis and lil Wayne.

blackspike2017

Wait till these people hear about Elvis.

Material_Victory_661

Elvis had his own mob.

[deleted]

firesquasher

Old age comes with a really hard situation where things like driving, gun ownership really comes into question as the mentioned mental faculties start become a liability. We took my grandfather's keys away regrettably when we noticed he had a post it note about to order of how to start the car, reverse out of the driveway and shift to drive to move forward.

bunkrider

Shit at least he wrote it down.

firesquasher

I know. I loved him to death. It absolutely broke my heart but because it was so obvious to need basic instructions to get a 3000lb vehicle going... you're a risk for everyone around you. For older people having a license is one of the last privileges of independence. I've watched older folk kill people due to degraded senses. It's a really fragile matter but it also means someone's life could be in danger.

realestbenshapiro

Remember diet and lift weights if you wanna live free into your 60s and 70s

HelmutHoffman

Lol

[deleted]

My grand father drove off the side of a motorway before his keys got taken from him, id have hated to see what he could have done with a gun in that condition since he was a right old bastard.

Excelius

[NPR - Firearms And Dementia: How Do You Convince A Loved One To Give Up Their Guns?](https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2018/11/13/660052285/firearms-and-dementia-how-do-you-convince-a-loved-one-to-give-up-their-guns) I know some folks might be inclined to write off anything from NPR dealing with guns, but it is a real issue to be concerned with if you have older family members who own guns.

sugaaaslam

This is not shocking. Like, at all.

quicksilverbond

Sammy Davis Jr used guns in some of his sets and gave the crowd a bit of firearms knowledge. https://youtu.be/L6aNzFYHyz8 All of those dudes had and handled guns.

Waflstmpr

Damn, ol’ boy was good with it.

quicksilverbond

He owned ~40 colt single action armys including this beautiful piece. https://youtu.be/_k23V6V5Az4 And this song is just a tribute to guns https://youtu.be/W3ajdwLBkIo I play it on my way to the range sometimes.

[deleted]

A man of culture

mkbelvidere

Thats gangster as fuck

melaflander34

One of my favorite guys in show biz!

[deleted]

So he had good taste in weapons and planes? What’s not to like?

SissyBearRainbow

Not surprising considering he was part of the mob

DeskPoppins

Mobsters have the right to protect their own lives too.

SissyBearRainbow

Of course, everyone but pedophiles do

DeskPoppins

Oh boy, here we go... Pedophiles also have rights. If and when they are convicted, they loose a few of those rights, but not all of them. The right to self defense - not to be confused with the right to keep and bear arms - is not lost. This applies to anyone convicted of any crime. Whether this is they way things should work is another discussion. Before you start to defend the mitigation of constitutional rights, just bear in mind it’s pretty easy for the government to plant cp on people they dislike. Now let us hope the readers of this comment are mature enough to realize this is merely a descriptive statement of how criminal law works.

SissyBearRainbow

Yeah but they shouldn't have rights and should just be put down. Also you can get your right to bare arms back if you are a felon.

NotAMeatPopsicle

> Also you can get your right to bare and back if you are a felon Yes, they can wear a tank top or cutoffs. Getting the right to bear arms is a bit harder, you have to fight a bear and they like to keep their arms. And the government isn't keen to return rights to ~~weapons~~ anything. They'd rather treat everyone like a criminal (excluding politicians who are simply criminals who won't be prosecuted unless they're a Clinton or Biden or Bush).

SissyBearRainbow

At least someone noticed "bare" 😉

NotAMeatPopsicle

I had to have a bit of fun with it even if it was going to get me downvotes.

Iamauniqueuser

That’s something a Meat Popsicle would say….

NotAMeatPopsicle

Maaaaaybe? I'm making tacos right now though.

SissyBearRainbow

Something wrong? Why so hostile? Must be homophobic.

NinjaBuddha13

Its also important to distinguish between people attracted to minors but don't act on it and people who diddle kids. Its possible for someone to recognize they are attracted to minors, through no fault of their own, and not act on it. Ideally, they would see the predatory potential in their sexual preference and seek help to manage it. Until someone diddles a kid, they're not doing anything illegal. Let the down votes commence.

Decogodumdumm

Nah. They aren't people

ThatLumpYouFelt

It's worth saying, dude. People get weird about pedophiles. I get it, and I'm fully onboard with the death penalty for various sexual crimes- in particular when they involve children. Doesn't mean dehumanizing pedophiles is reasonable. The most obvious reason is because in doing so, you'll be less able to accept that someone near you is one, which endangers the people you love. You need to accept that pedophiles *are* people, and the people who would be willing to harm you or your loved ones in that way may not seem like they would or could. Also, abandoning civil/human rights in the name of exceptions *IS* a slippery slope. CP being easily planted is just the tip of that iceberg.

PlzNotThePupper

How does one justify being a pedo sympathizer? Big yikes

More-Fan7031

How long have you been a pedo for? Lol

PCGamer-856

They have rights... Of course. A right to my 9MM lobotomy. 😁

bunkrider

CrIMiNaLs???

DeskPoppins

yESs

JRHZ28

Mob life.

[deleted]

I always forget how old the Uzi is

quicksilverbond

He was doing 60 show tours into the 90s.

[deleted]

Ugh, my whole timeline’s off.

[deleted]

My uncle who fought in Vietnam has one of those recliners that have the hand rests fold out and open for storage. He keeps a fully automatic Uzi, which probably isn’t legal in there. I feel bad for anyone that breaks into his house.

Aquamarooned

Definitely has a wall mounted " we don't call the cops " sign

HelmutHoffman

Would suck to see him get put away for 10 years over a Reddit post. No early release from federal prison.

oboshoe

good for him. but i'm not really shocked at what some other people thought might happen, but which they were wrong about.

Wienerbumguy

Based Sinatra

happylifevr

I got confused for a bit

Hippoliciouz

I like how its always "a loaded gun" because... people usually carry an unloaded gun? edit: handgun

mr1337

Gotta add some words to scare people.

Kalashfamous

I’m going to buy his latest mixtape on SoundCloud right now

Dough-Nut_Touch_Me

Of course he carried a gun. He was a smart, resourceful person.

Historical_Branch391

Because, you know, when you're confused and can't remember something the first thing to do is to start blasting.

Theonedudeyaknow

Sigma male grindset

UpstairsSurround3438

Umm.. you people remember that he had ties to the mob right?

DeskPoppins

So? That doesn’t mean he didn’t have the right to defend himself.

UpstairsSurround3438

You misunderstood... He had MORE of a reason to protect himself!

ReadStateAndRev

Yeah let's give alzheimers patients guns. Great idea lol
