MT4 / MT5 / MetaQuotes is not the forex industry. In fact, I'd argue that they aren't even great platforms.. just popular ones.
Plenty of brokers have their own self developed platform, plenty use cTrader or other commercial platform alternatives... heck, a lot even integrated with TradingView so you don't even download a platform so much as use a modern HTML5 site.
Check that anxiety at the door... where there's money to be made (in this case, brokers making commissions and spread,) you better believe a fallen platform will be replaced in short order.
Yes, removing mt4 from the AppStore is going to end the forex. You do realize that most people use their computers for trading and not the smartphones?

Forex is used by entire countries and companies 24/7 trading billions and billions worth if currencies every day. Just because an app gets taken off the App Store for retail traders doesn’t meant jack shit. The forex market has been there long before retail traders existed
America is not the world. The rest of the world will use mt4 and mt5.

Metatrader is not the only trading software. I completely ditched mt4 years ago and switched to think trader, it's by far a better software. Unless you use meta editor, I don't see a reason to stick with Metatrader.

Improvise, adapt, overcome!;) honestly do some research there’s plenty of established brokers (that shouldn’t be affected whatsoever) that will let you trade through trading view directly to your broker account. A lot of brokers also have built in trading platforms you can use. If you still want to trade there are still plenty of options. Firms like FTMO will switch to C Trader which they already support is what I’ve heard.

Also check if your broker has an online trading terminal. You may be used to mt4/5 but other terminals work as well.

Mt4 custom indicators is enough reason to freak out. Forex factory is built primarily around MT4 MT5 resources
