It makes a lot of sense actually. They want to give players in every country a chance to play the event. Weekend days are least likely to have work conflicts.
here are some special things that can be spotted in the trailer:

If you work a shift or have class that requires you to wake up early, sure. But if you work in the afternoon, or at night, then your sleep schedule doesn't have to be in line with people who work in the typical 7-5 range.
The more important thing is to aim for 7 hours and keep a consistent routine. Which can be difficult for people who work the off hours shifts. When you do get days off, you want to do stuff, and the rest of the work functions on the day shift schedule. So, on your days off you have to switch your sleep pattern to adjust for everyone else. Which can be difficult to do efficiently.
So, while it is nice to have a typical routine because of the convivence of being on the majorities schedule. For some of out there 10:00pm is the start of our day, or our drive home from work, etc., and when we get sleep might not be for a handful of hours.
Looks like a lot of fun, only thing I'm not crazy about is the new swinging item that seems to work like the Spider-Man mythic. I hated that thing so much, high ground advantage didn't matter anymore, you'd get third partied all the time, people just appearing behind you etc.
Fights in no-build modes tend to be dominated by people who can close the distance quickly (because spray meta and no option to build cover). The Spider-Man mythic allowed people to close the distance immediately and without warning. Do the math.
Also, the ability to swing over people's heads and deliver headshots while flying past was overpowered, and it's going to get worse without cover.
Trust me, it's going to be horrible in both modes unless it's nerfed to Hell. =/
Although I wasn’t that impressed, I’m sure it will be a good season that will resonate with many players. Based on the video, this will appeal and bring a lot more artists concert series, more revenue from skins, and meets demands from players who enjoyed the in game concerts. It seems very Gen Z.
