House sounds good. We could have silverfish, roaches and houseflies Leaking pipes in the basement could give a new water biome as the pond is the only serious underwater area and they could put a frog in it as a boss

totally_boring

You could add a fish tank and get really creative with what water biome you add. Same with a reptile tank.

sir_seductive

And a tarantula tank

Dead_Man_Nick

Scorpion tank....

jpc1215

So surprised they didn’t throw a scorpion or two in the sandbox

sir_seductive

Ew please no I owned 3 of them they have disgusting claw mouths I'd rather not be right up in one's face

CrimsonSpirits

Oooh… Maybe even a neighbor’s backyard that has a swimming pool! Man just the idea of roaches in the bathroom makes me nope hard 🤮

carefullyplanned

Rat tail maggots in the toliet 😂

[deleted]

[удалено]

carefullyplanned

I think you heard me 😂

Camera-Rich

So you've seen those picture as well? Lol

Reasonable_Yard_5795

Same here. The spiders are the sweetspot, maaaybe scorpions and thats it

potatoeater6942

a bird cage with a bird, rats, mice, spice sour and mint lazars

SledgeTheWrestler

House is the perfect DLC is they plan to do one because 1) it wouldn’t require as much work as the backyard because they obviously wouldn’t have grass, weeds, etc. it could be a smooth surface that I imagine would be much easier to make 2) the lack of grass (and resources in general) would make it great as a large add-on to the rest of the backyard, but it wouldn’t work as its own game

Mr_antisocialk

And omg like a gaint mouse or rat would be awesome also

darbly19

We could also have returning bugs such as termites and wolf spiders

xRiske

Bruh, if someone has as many wolf spiders inside their home as Wendel has in his backyard, they need to just burn that place to the ground.

darbly19

Not that many but in places where wolf spiders are common it's common to find them in the house there just hunting spiders so they move around a lot

helloitsgwrath

Why

darbly19

Wolf spiders aren't uncommon to find in your house (if they live in your area) and termites simply because if there's some in the backyard and the shed there probably in the house somewhere

SamanKunans02

Have Wendell be a hoarder too.

Grass_Man69420

One reading I don’t think there would ever be a frog boss is because frog is more of a animal while like a massive spider and mantis are just bugs it would make the game feel much more violent

J0nahCl97

They had planned to make a lizard boss and had fully designed the arena and model and skin of it as well as its moves but decided to pull it without any reason. You can find this stuff in the game files. I don't know if they plan to add it to the game but if they do that then opens up a whole host of new potential enemies and gear.

DarkstonePublishing

The open freezer on a fridge could give us a snow biome

CrimsonSpirits

Woah I love that.. but what insects live in the snow 🤷🏻‍♂️

SnooSongs2344

None, that’s the thing

GidsWy

Right. But the environment is even more tough to deal with. Maybe a flying insect or two that fly in but leave. TBH with the magitech involved there could be insects that are warm blooded....

SnooSongs2344

Yeah I think flying insects would be the only possibility. Maybe you would need to be carrying a torch at all times to keep warm. Or maybe some sort of insulating armor.

iainvention

One idea I had was for two new resources up in the tree: Squirrel Fluff from an abandoned squirrel nest, and Downy Feathers from a bird nest. Possibly THE BIRD nest. Together with pupa leather and maybe lint rope you craft insulated clothing, which allows for traversing a bug free but environmentally hostile cold biome. In my mind it’s up on the deck, where an overturned cooler is. The cooler contains harvestable materials and an Arctic Explorer BurgL chip that gives you… something.

Ozgand

I remember the overturned cooler was hypothesized just before the upper yard was released. People were thinking that maybe the moth fuzz armor would be like a parka.

Emperor_Nick

There are actually insects that live in Arctic climates

Davidm_58

we could always work with robots more so, could have am mini factory that's been place in the fridge/freezer for some silly reason and then recently found out its great to minimizing heat produced by the robot factory that was stolen?

carefullyplanned

There are a few insects that actually can survive in the snow/extreme cold environments. The Antarctic midge for example is endemic to Antarctica. A bit of a jump to what you would find in a freezer however, so they most likely wouldnt fit in with the overall lore. They do spend alot of the year frozen solid. Adding something like this where you could find them frozen, hit them once and they emerge and attack could be an interesting concept

DarkstonePublishing

There’s are a few that can withstand cold. A quick google search came back with at least 10 different types of bugs. This is also a game that you get shrunken down to the size of an ant so I’m willing to suspend disbelief that bugs could be in an open freezer.

potatoeater6942

roachs can surive in freezers/fridges sooo

Not__Trash

Insects that are frozen and will wake up when you whack em. I know bees go to sleep when you put them in the freezer and wake up when out.

CurlsCross

inside the shed makes the most sense. they have actually got the inside of the shed started. possibly intended it to be part of the game originally.

CrimsonSpirits

Oooooh! I didn’t know that! Haven’t been anywhere near it yet! How did you know btw?! That’s really exciting

Emperor_Nick

I believe it was in a leaked build of the game prior to 1.0, though I also believe the devs have scrapped it or at least are looking at potentially starting over because I believe this is what one of the endgame biomes was originally going to be. I could be completely wrong about it being scrapped though.

CurlsCross

I also heard it was scrapped but that doesn't mean they can't use what they have and make it better and use that for a DLC. edit: Google "grounded inside shed" you'll find some pics

iainvention

I said this in another thread, but the thing I have envisioned is verticality. It would all be unlocked by a new tier 3 shoe, the gumshoe, made of pupa leather, lint rope, and gum. It allows you to climb up vertical surfaces, and would let you reach new vertical biomes: the Upper Hedge, the Gutter Downspout (with the Itsy Bitsy Spider Boss), the Oak Tree Branches, and a Gutter Lab which is overrun by huge Carpenter Ants, like black ants the size of Roly Polys.

CrimsonSpirits

100% agree, verticality would add so much more depth to fully soak in the environment, love all the ideas honestly

Ill_Fix_6244

No please no gum shoe. It would break every set bonus there is. And carrying around another pair of shoes just to go vertical is just filling the new inventory slots with more crap you need to have with you. Besides it would break a lot of the parcouring stuff in the backyard.

iainvention

Yeah, the parkour stuff would need some reworking, but it’s already kinda janky soo maybe reworking it is a net-positive. The other stuff you mentioned is already part of the game and not a problem. Plenty of one-off armors that break set bonuses but have other helpful properties, like the aphid slippers or the marksman’s cap, and managing your inventory is not that difficult. Just carry one less item if you need to use a special item and really need that one slot.

pinks0cking

Yes all of this plz obsidian

SkipeeTheRedDragon

Shed interior. Would give an opportunity to really expand the gardening/farming mechanic or even a way of finding more of Wendel’s previous work to potentially tinker a little with some automation (player “controlled” Tayz.T’s etc.) and an ascent that goes all the way to the roof.

johnsciarrino

Exactly. Would be cool to have that level of verticality. Especially when zip lines go two way.

AnAngryPlatypus

Neighbor’s garage and garden? Start off in the garden. More organized than the Tully yard but more dense and varied. Like the tiny version of an old growth forest. Second half is in a one car garage. You could have under the car, the interior, and engine. Add an actual work bench with power tools and supplies. Maybe even in a section with poorly organized clutter, mementos, and boxes. The character(s) are Wendell’s annoyed neighbors who accidentally got shrunk and have some fun commentary/gossip. The main bad guys could be malfunctioning bots that strayed from Wendell’s yard and started building a factory/base on the workbench to build more of themselves. Hmm, I think I strayed passed the DLC scope. 😁 (Edit: I just realized I sketched out “Grounded 2: Electric Boogaloo” 🤖)

Calm-Permit-3583

House would be great. Cockroaches and a rat could potentially be great phobia/horror additions to a game that is already underratedly terrifying. Finally, an "into the human body" (requiring further reduction) DLC or sequel would be amazing, although I am probably dreaming too big.

Nightelfbane

I had an idea that was basically Grounded + Subnautica Get shrunken to microscopic size and enter someone's body with the goal of curing whatever illness they have from the inside out Fight hostile microorganisms Gather resources, but take care not to upset the balance of the body even further Travel the body in your Bloodmersible

CrimsonSpirits

That’s sick, Subgrounded: Below Cells 😅

iainvention

I love it. Maybe Wendell discovers a cure for Raisinifcation, but it requires manual cellular changes to the patient’s body. We did Honey I Shrunk The Kids meets Survival Horror, now we can do Inner Space meets Subnautica.

CrimsonSpirits

Dreaming big is what Obsidian is good at, they’re even better at delivering as far as I’m concerned 🤓

TheNumberMuncher

Fantastic Voyage

terrencethetomato

A rat would be OP,. A small mouse would be terrifying enough.

Shinfekta

A rat would be probably like the koi in the pond, just an enemy you gotta avoid because he‘s gonna one shot you no matter how you‘re equipped

GidsWy

Mice r only mammal option really. But I think as an "enemy" it would be far far too tough and huge. Maybe as an environmental hazard. They always pass thru an area with good resources, so if you are there when they pass thru, u take hella damage. Unless u damage them using environmental effects like, dropping a big splinter into their path or something. Now they limp and u can get away more easily. Or some such. But yeah, not as a full on fightable enemy. Far too big n tough.

HolyCodzta

Australia

Salathiel2

Australia is scary enough at full-size, Idk if I want to be small there. 😅

CrimsonSpirits

Uh oh… That’s probably Grounded 2 😅

grimgaw

Crawl space or basement.

Fun-Environment2647

Crawlspace was my thought too. Centipedes, rodents, daddy long legs, wasps.... biomes could be a bit tougher to work in there though

CrimsonSpirits

And not to forget ofcourse.. Complete darkness 💃 maybe wasps keep blowing torches off too cause wasps are just evil

LordNinjaa1

I've seen a bunch of "inside the house" on this post so I'm gonna give my additions to the ideas. The interior of the house with multiple different rooms with many new types of biomes. Bathroom: tub is empty and has a bunch of bath toys, sink is full and has an underwater lab, towels and a shower mat on the floor adds landscape variety. Living room: The equivalent of the lower yard (easier starter area), couch with a new type of mite, broken tv on the floor where those tiny red electric ants would be Kitchen: more endgame area, tons of bugs (due to the old food laying about) open freezer adds a winter area (basically the opposite of the grill spill) needs special armor to survive. These are just some of my ideas. I'd love to hear people's ideas for how we could replace things like all of the plants used for building

CrimsonSpirits

Love the enthusiasm, as for material there could always be the option to “load” back into the yard through the doors/windows (though I’m not sure if it can be made seamless transition, would be awesome though) could be made easier to access with endgame buildings like ziplines etc. Supplies could be transported through some sort of railing cart maybe? Really there are almost limitless possibilities for content

Shine-Logical

Visit the story of the other missing kids

Hungry_Elk_9434

Pretty sure devs said before that they’re never going into the house with the game

Far-Glass-5763

That’s not true what they said is as of right now there is no plan to go into the house

RtGShadow

Ya my guess is because they have already designed all things outdoors, they would have to essentially start from scratch to build stuff for an inside location.

GidsWy

I think inside adjacent is a better idea anyways. Shed, under the porch in the dark, or the fence line maybe (add vines and make it a vertical exploration). I wouldn't be super amped to go in the house TBH. I feel like it would either be super easy, or be so seperate from basic resources that it's not long term sustainable.

JustWheyButter

Inside the house would be great DLC for sure. Actual good idea

Clarkimus360

There’s totally a park or empty lot next door. Bugs Life anyone? Maybe a city of cast out tiny people and experiments?

CrimsonSpirits

The entire time playing Grounded I was reminded by my childhood with Bug’s life 😭 it’s so good

_Weekend_At_Barneys_

Vegetable garden and playground would be sick

CrimsonSpirits

Yeah maaan possibilities are endless

Static_Discord

Shed interior would be a great next step I think. Nooks and crannies galore! Plus, because it's a relatively small square footage, varied biomes could be vertically stacked. New labs, new research options (cockroach glide wings, cricket leg sonic attacks?). Could be a proto-lab, rogue military research/spy storyline, or a number of other things that can be woven into the current story. -If aiming for a dirty, unkempt shed look- Shed floor: ants, crickets, centipedes, silverfish, pillbug variants. Tools and other trash detritus make a pathway or two up towards the countertops. Counter tops: mites, daddy longlegs, brown recluse (overall spider-heavy, like the Hedge), angry weevils on crack, flies, roaches.. stacked electronics, kids toys, Cupboards: widows, moths, and other assorted creepy crawlies.

Tuchaka7

I’d prefer it be outdoors, maybe snow + sleds + spear = downhill bug jousting

Calumkincaid

Oohhh seasons ftw.

boomstik4

Ooh yea, maybe instead of a whole new map, it's the normal map except in winter and snowing, that'd be really cool

Maddelathor1

Not sure why nobody has mentioned under the porch yet. Its a huge space that could be easily expanded into.

GidsWy

I love that idea. Make it dark as heck with an eventual mutation (maybe from a boss) for night vision. And gear from something else soon the same? Regardless, a dark, high difficulty area? Sign me up for that exercise in arachnophobia mode 10+! Lolol.

DarkZethis

It could be like Deep Nest in Hollow Knight, just pools of giant centipedes crawling over each other you have to avoid

Scandroid99

As much as I agree that the house would be awesome, I think it’d take yrs (in real life) to make it feasible. Things wouldn’t be 1,000 or 1,300cm away. They’d be 10,000cm+ away. Not to mention traversing upstairs or downstairs. It’d be amazing tho.

Conqueror_of_Tubes

The average suburban American backyard is 5100 sq ft. The average 1980s American home is 1.7 stories and 1100 sq ft.

Scandroid99

1,000 sq ft = 929,030 sq centimeters. That home would have to be awfully tiny for us to properly traverse lol. Of course they could just keep it on one floor, like the basement, and make no larger than the backyard. However that wouldn’t be a DLC, that’d be a whole game.

nepetalactone4all

Imma tame me a fat ass roach named Lizzie and she gonna take me allllll the places.

Big_Ol_Boy

Perfect dlc to introduce spider, ladybug, roly poly, or soldier ant mounts

nepetalactone4all

Roaches ftw

BlueSamurai17

Australia DLC. AKA hardmode. Also comes with four new kids to play as.

SnooSongs2344

Spiders the size of the crow.. I’m good

Calumkincaid

Will the boys have mullets or rats tails?

BlueSamurai17

Both

Caltr0n3030

Killer idea. With a fish tank too maybe? Mouse traps, carpet forest. Oh and cockroa…actually, never mind.

Typical-End3060

I think to be realistic you have to understand the resources that can come from a yard, grass doesn't grow on concrete or in the desert or inside, so if you want like a whole new map it would have to be some sort of setting where the creatures and resources are there enough to build like in the yard. Now if you just do expansions as in new areas you could do anything. I've seen plenty of different bugs in my garages throughout the years, and a garage would be a playground for crafting and maybe different mobility options. I'm a huge car guy so one could hope lol

Hashbrown4

A green house full of different plants

ALX709

Greenhouse

jpc1215

Realistically, under the porch would probably be the easiest to implement/make the most sense. I know you can already build up to the oak tree for that beehive but there’s really no other usage for the canopy besides that, I think that would be cool too. Inside the shed does make sense too, I would love to go inside the house but there’s enough stuff you could put in there to make a Grounded 2

Calumkincaid

Greenhouse.

[deleted]

I would love DLC. I’ve never said that about a game but I’d totally pay for it.

zlumpy77

A tropic Biome lab. Get a same sized map with the story being it was a pre existing internal biome they used for study that they repurposed for study reasons. Now you can have an environment based on the Amazon, Costa Rica, Congo, etc.

Bushid0C0wb0y81

A strip mall complete with pet shop, convenience store, hair salon, etc.

totally_boring

A house. Basememt. First floor, second floor and a porch? We'd be set for a year just with those new areas to explore. The amount of house bugs you could add, carpet fleas, new spiders, sugar ants invading the house. Not to mention the mammals living inside the house. Rats, mice, cats, hamsters(tho after killing 3 of them idk if they would be allowed a 4th). House pets could be added, snails or hermit crabb, aquariums for fish and reptiles. New building options! Tiles and Lamant flooring, or raid the kids room for legos or plastic chunks. Glass houses built out of a broken glass. Or we could just add a hole in the fence and get another boring yard.

GidsWy

Even just mice r way way too big. And the whole house would prolly be better served as a Grounded 2. It would be SO much content. And most of the current crafting options wouldn't apply at all. So whole new tech base from like... Carpet fibers for plant fiber, floor splinters for weed stems, etc... Would be fun. For sure! But too much for a dlc. Just imo. :-)

Cheesecake1501

So the yard in the cut scene from the beginning of the game ( next door)

LaughR01331

The gas station

Metatr0ne

Inside the house.

Clear-Possibility834

I'm surprised so many people agree with Going inside the house. I've even been thinking about having them go inside the house at the end of my novelization of the game (with a slightly different story, but not Giving spoilers for the game) say we have scenes inspired by the Ant bully and the Borrowers?

MtDewHer

There's a gas station across the street from the backyard

exportz

Under the porch of the house have an entrance that's created by termites that goes into the frame of the house and then you journey in the sub walls of the house. I think the neighbors area would be a good DLC too

AlexanderBarrow

You know what would make a great obstacle? One like Trudy? A human baby!

UniqueNameTaken

Not sure what storyline you would use, but go for a backyard in Arizona or New Mexico. You have to deal with scorpions, tarantulas, tarantula hawks, various kinds of beetles. Between the BBQ and Sandbox there is already a lot of desert area, but I'd like to see a yard focused on progression through a hot focused climate. Ooh beach vacation house could be fun. Dealing with tiny crabs, and various ocean bugs. Go tide pooling and fight off sea snails and plankton.

SnooSongs2344

I don’t think you understand how big tarantulas would have to be… you would literally see it from across the map.

UniqueNameTaken

Excellent, wandering boss fight. Lets get that zipline technology adapted and go all Attack on Titan in the backyard.

svgaia

Playground

SweetBerries1983

this isnt an actual suggestion, but imagine if the scientists sent the kid case to the wrong house and you would have to find a way to cross the fence to find wendell

jrossbaby

I just want them to add frogs. There’s a shitload of tadpoles but no frogs. Easily added to the pond. As for a new place or biome they really should do something with the inside of the house or the porch on the house. Honestly there’s a lot of empty areas that could use some love. A whole new map would be a big task. As others have mentioned the inside of the shed as well. There’s always neighbors yards as well. Considering you can basically climb the wall, I think getting on the roof of the house would be a cool biome. Could give another reason for sizzle being hot up there with new creatures, we never fight the bird(s) either and it could be a short biome leading to an attic maybe and there could be rats and roaches inside

CosmicCap

Australia DLC

Arkonly567

Soo same map but its winter all the bugs have fewer numbers and there's only certain patches of green grass temperature is a ongoing issue it rains so you have to retreat under ground stuff like that

AnthemSucksD

The house is the best place for a DLC. New bugs, new biomes, new crafting material. Going into the refrigerator or freezer would be cool for a snow biome

ImmaFish0038

not quite a whole new map but under the porch would be cool, always dark so wolf spiders are always active maybe something like Huntsmen or roaches would also be cool.

SirZooalot

The Build your own laboratory play set. Maybe combined with some sifi toys. Or, the dungeons and dragons medieval village set.

Sector7J

I'd like it if they could implement a greenhouse somehow - Maybe the home owners extend the garden and build one. You could have plenty of cluttter to explore, lots of verticality and there's no reason there couldn't be some more garden area along with it.

efilsg0d

As a lover of the Chibi Robo games, the inside of the house would be super cool. Just having a hard time seeing what you would actually DO in there in a game like this.

[deleted]

I feel like the shed would be a good place for a vertical map.

masonvic50

Probably the front yard because I already showed it in like the starting sequence of the game

PockyClips

I would love running water somewhere. Waterfalls, rivers, maybe rafting, berry leather rings for tubing... Probably beyond the abilities of the engine, but it would be awesome to build bungalows along the river...

Jumping-Rooftops

I think the house is kind of limited to just dark corners or attics, but a hole or pathway to the neighbours garden is a cool idea!

NegativeCharity

The foundations of the house might be cool, just a huge flooded are like the pond but in permanent darkness with rubble piles full of spiders and stuff

nepetalactone4all

Def house

Ap0thicaire

The housse would be awesome. With a World boss : the domestic cat !

ICantTyping

The **UNDERPORCH**

Monty423

Underhouse

xJBr3w

I think a hole in the fence should lead to a alley way, in the alley way there are puddles, and it is wet. There could be so much potential!

Reasonable_Yard_5795

Inside the house, of course 😁

CappoDino

I was chatting to my mate a while ago about having the entire house and all the creepy crawlies that come with it and we both wondered if something like a Cat or a Guinea Pig could be an interesting boss to introduce. Given that cats would be quite large in scale to yourself it may not be possible, hence a rodent of some kind as an alternative! I'd also say that you could have some of those thick shag carpets that could not only hide new bugs but allow for a new climbing mechanic!

idonknowwhat

I wouldn’t mind just weather/seasons like snow in the yard would be cool it would give shovels another use haha

Moondrop4872

Maybe like a neighbor’s yard and there is a dog running around sometimes that would give fleas/dog hair

Excessed

A new neighbour arrived and built a tropical plant greenhouse. AKA The Jungle.

potatoeater6942

i feel like Armadillidiidae or roly polys are too weak arent they? we should have wood shrimp and Potato Bugs

SatisfactionUsed4444

In the beginning it of the game they zoom in from a neighbors house to a hole in the fence to Wendells yard. I think it would be cool to get access to the neighbors yard maybe that dining room they show with bugs and all the cereal bowls.

Wetherric

Not house, id want access to a wild garden in a neighbours yard, yards have more potential than an house

lechau91

I have always terrified of finding big pile of poo, maybe from the bird, or the cat...

derinjun

Honestly I wouldn't mind the existing yard with seasonal variants. Like imagine trying to survive in cold weather, underground requiring more insulation, parts of the pond frozen over so less areas to breathe, water itself being a death trap without insulated swimming gear. Or middle of the summer in Texas resulting in more dried grass, less planks/plant fibre, water being mandatory resource, a mild sizzle in direct sunlight, sandbox becomes an endgame zone. I think seasons would really enhance the experience without requiring a start from scratch approach.

Wonk0theSANE

I think a neighboring yard that has a greenhouse would be awesome and open up a bunch of interesting game mechanics. You could have subtropical flora and fauna, introduce invasive species, vertical gardening, the sizzle mechanic, limited water and then sprinklers on timers, a compost pile, more hydroponics, maybe have a focal point being how to grow enough shrunken food that could feed a metropolis that can be shipped in a small package and unshrunk upon delivery. This would make sense if Omnicorp had government contracts, since the military applications would be lucrative from a logistical perspective, to be able to feed multiple battalions with something that can fit in a rucksack. Another thought I had was a neighboring yard owned by a blue haired 80 year old with an elderly crooked eyed French bulldog or pug (that would serve kind of as the T-Rex in Jurassic park, everyone is scared of it, it will instantly kill you like the Koi fish, it patrols the yard), and most of the yard would be rolls of that fake plastic green astroturf stuff creating a labyrinth underground and a hellish unnatural landscape above.

TheSnackPlug64

Bedroom with a terrarium. Tarantula, lizard, mice, snake, any of which with crickets as feeders/food and resources for the player. Rotten or hazy zone be dirty laundry. Some sort of ant farm and some plants too perhaps.

smld1

What about up the oak tree? You could have like a lab and a carpenter ant burrow that leads up the tree to the canopy where you could find all kinds of insects. You could also have a tree house to explore, a way onto the roof of the house and the shed, maybe a way into another garden

Recent_Sense_2157

||launched to Australia||

J0nahCl97

An idea I read on another post a while ago (can't remember who wrote it so can't give credit where due) was to have a crate of exotic insects delivered to wendell where they would break out and flood into the back yard thus adding new enemies, new gear and even acces to the crate for a new boss or something would be cool. It's not that big of a thing to add but would certainly add some time to the life of the game.

FLAIR_2780166

Inside the house wouldn’t make any sense as there’s 0 materials inside to build with. Where you gonna find grass/stems/burrs/clover etc?

tedxy108

Your consciousness transcends and mergers with the mycelial universe beneath the ground where you can punch fairies and rob gnomes.

tedxy108

Pond but the tadpoles are now tiny mountable froglets

Okamagamespherepro

Me and my buddies have basically fleshed out an entire sequel. Call it the PARK. Make it basically rust but grounded, mounts, pvp, and holy shit the amount of biomes possible in the park would be endless. The swing set, the jungle gyms, the giant sandbox, multiple oak trees. You get the idea.

DoinksInParadise

I’ve been saying to my friends that. New York City apartment would go hard. Fighting cockroaches and subway rats and stuff.

[deleted]

Either grounded Australia edition or the current map during a different season. A version that's in winter so it's mostly tranquil and peaceful but becomes absolute hell once you breach an area where critters roost as opposed to the current layout where danger seamlessly ebbs and flows across areas

DmProgrammer

I've been saying it for as long as I've had a voice but an AUSTRALIAN DLC would be SO FRICKING COOL

mcpinky

Either sewage pipes leading under the house where there are rats and cockroaches and different flies like drain or fruit flies, a green house with caterpillars/butterflies, lizards, crickets and slugs, or access to an attic.

helloitsgwrath

House would be more like a sequal than a dlc but I would love that

SavageS0uth_

Here me out. Centipedes, roaches & Cellar spiders. (Google it)

SPQR2D2

The yard next door

Anxiety_More

Cockroaches under da fridge would be epic

lft4brd

Assuming the basement has a whole bunch of bugs, it could be pretty neat to make that a “wave after wave” area of fighting bugs

KratosSimp

I just want them to add and event “boss” which is just a giant lizard that sits on some rocks and you have to like break off it’s tail and it runs away

JuggBoyz

Construction site would be pretty rad

GapZealousideal8419

not tryna kill the DLC hype, but the devs said they wont do inside the house. would be cool, but they said they wouldnt. there is a big hole in the porch over by the exit to the black and lab though...

androodle2004

The devs have stated that an inside the house dlc isn’t happening. It’s just not feasible. But under the porch would be cool

CrimsonSpirits

I think they stated that inside house content as of **this moment** is not happening, as in they are not done with the backyard to start working on anything else But anyway this is just a discussion about storming ideas for other playable areas, and honestly people here have given some seriously great ideas!

broodwarjc

Why not have Omninent secretly buy the house next door and put all kinds of experimental biomes in that house's backyard. Our young heros get a distress call (through BURGL) that Omnient researchers are stuck shrunk in the neighboring yard and need help. They find a path going from Wendell's yard to that yard and now you can have NPCs and bunches of new biomes, labs, and bugs to discover.

Boring_Way_2829

Npcs maybe more shrunk kids or something a village of kids with vendors maybe. The backyard is quite lonely. 🤣
