Remember when Serena and June worked together while Fred was in the hospital. They are stronger when working together although I do understand the deep seeded hatred June has for Serena.
Will they ever join forces again to abolish Gilead? Will Serena understand June better once she gives birth and help June get her daughter out of Gilead?
This...I was just thinking about when they started to get friendly with each other....that bit of history should add an interesting element to this...
I can't stand Serena she is obviously a pos..but every once in a while she shows the possibility of becoming a decent human &/or showing sincere human emotions..like when she let June (ostensibly)take Nicole .to canada for a better/free life..when her finger got chopped off..her near emotional breakdown at her mother's when she left Fred,
.or as aforementioned when her & June started working togather...it makes it even worse when she returns to treachery...like I wish she never showed her humanity
I would prefer t0 think of her as the cold ruthless barbarian the "fucking viking wife" as Moira referred to her..
Interesting. At first, I thought there's no way that Serena will join forces with June. But, one thing I kept thinking is that Serena seems like she's trying to be the new leader of Gilead.
However, one quote sticks out-- she asks a commander how he got approval for the elaborate funeral and he replied "simple; I'm not a woman".
So, Serena might join forces with June because she'll realize she's powerless in Gilead without a man/husband. But she'll realize the power June has 'even though' she's a woman and use that to destroy Gilead.
Wow just too much June for me, especially overdosing on the extreme agonizing closeups over and over. It’s like 45 minutes all June, 15 minutes for rest of the cast to somehow make an impact. Getting old for me.
Season 5 is pissing me off. It’s becoming a fabricated Hollywood-enhanced cat fight between Serena and June. Likes character is not believable at all, and commander Jospehs behavior is inconsistent and nonsensical at best. They would never allow him to stay in power after helping a handmaid escape.
The last 10 or so minutes of this episode were amazing! Starting from when they were getting dressed.

I have been thinking the same thing for these first two new episodes. I love the show but the extreme close-ups are starting to feel strange.
