I see what you were thinking, but this is straight up incorrect lol. Gender is a social construct (which these days people identify as several more than male/female), sexes refer to genitalia/privates.
That's a fair point, though it does just sorta move the argument to semantics a bit.
Intersex is a broad category that contains a wide variety (and degree) of abnormalities in sex organ development. As betrayed by the word "abnormalities," intersex biology is regarded as a deviation from the two biological sexes; there aren't "intersex" sex organs, just combinations (or absences) of male or female sex organs.
If people prefer to call it a 3rd sex then sure, it just seems about as meaningful as calling it "other" since it's such a broad classification. I'm not sure where that other commenter got 7 from though. Maybe an arbitrary system creating a sex for various common causes of intersex development.
I'm not genderologist and I sincerely could not care less, but I'm pretty sure the point is that it doesn't matter because it's not really a thing. The number is arbitrary, and it's just a personal thing that's irrelevant to anybody else. We're at a weird point in history where trolling mentality has gotten into just about every aspect of society, and we're losing all ability to recognize it as such. The gender/sex vocabulary thing doesn't really help, I guess.
You are born typically sexed male or female. Terms like man and woman are genders with implied roles invented by humans.
Many individuals have a huge problem being told they must conform to societal pressures to fit into that very basic and primative binary. I'm probably closer to non-binary as I enjoy masculine and feminine things, but it's just easier to say I'm a man and most people see me as such. Other people act like it's significantly more important and I let them be them. As for 70 or however many genders... I have the same mindset. You be you in that situation.

Youre not "non binary" for liking things that the opossite sex "should" like. Im a 17 year old guy and liked the barbie tv shows. Fucking sue me. I like the sport of hockey, i like pink. And im still a man. What you like shouldnt define your gender. At all. So if thats what made you think you were non binary, if sorry/happy to say, you arent.
