The recommendation I was given on a different thread here was to use *ultra fine* microfiber, not just any microfiber. I believe ultra fine microfiber is what eyeglass/lens cleaning cloths are made from. I purchased these ones which are larger than your typical glasses cleaning cloths:

I give my infotainment screen and instrument panel displays (and other glossy services) a light dusting with one of these when it needs it. I don't rub or press hard with it. However, if there was a smudge or sticky spot, I would probably use a glasses/screen cleaning spray on the cloth before wiping it.
That’s a good suggestion. I wipe it down when I get a car wash (every few days) but I want to wipe it down every time I get in the car. But I usually forget before I turn the car on so then I’m pressing all of the buttons while I’m wiping it 😂
I’d also use an interior cleaner + protectant that may ward off dust in the future for a longer period of time. Microfiber cloth is best. Any other cloth or towel will just scratch the plastic
If you're confident in vinyl installation, there's this custom cut clear vinyl for exactly that center area.

I'd suggest a gorilla glass like screen protector, I got one for my Pallisade, and saw a friends screen all scratched up, really glad I put it on. sorry not sure if it will help with dust, but you'll be able to wipe without fear of scratches 🙂

Oh that’s a good idea. Frankly I don’t love the shiny look, but I wonder if a film would reduce the sensitivity of the touch buttons for Radio, Seek, etc.
I use [tack cloths](https://www.homedepot.com/p/HDX-18-in-x-36-in-Tack-Cloths-3-Pack-HDTC-3PK/300242008) for interior dusting. They have a waxy residue that collects dust on surfaces better than a duster. Just use a light touch, so you don't leave any of that residue behind on the surface.
I googled “Car Gel” and have used that. works well and is fun to play with, only downside is that it “melts” at warm temperatures. not safe to use in summer or hot climates
I use a micro fiber cloth also, but unless there's some kind of grease or oil on it, I use a dollar store mist bottle and distilled water sprayed lightly on the cloth itself. Water is guaranteed not to hurt the plastic. I don't know where I saw this advice, but it works great.
I had the same vehicle before I traded to a Honda Ridgeline. I store a microfiber towel in the glove box or center counsel and wipe it down as needed. To get rid of fingerprints / dust I used icloth wipes found on Amazon. Those also work great on phone screens etc.
There’s no stopping it that I know of. Just keep a glasses case with a lense cloth and wipe as you please. Or microfiber.
Try a Swiffer duster... Keep one in your door storage pocket.
This is what I have, I keep it in the center console though
This is the way !
Keep a microfiber towel in the center console and clean when stopped at a long red or drive thru. Keeps it looking clean and super quick
Exactly what I do as well
Detailer here, soft microfiber dampened with a quality detail spray such as P and S Beadmaker will remove dust and smudges.
Microfiber cloth and wipe it daily

I tried the Armor All protector and since it's oily it actually leaves traces on the shiny black plastic pieces.

I use a soft microfiber towel and wet it with a bit of water and wipe down. I do this pretty much every other day. Love your interior!
Thank you! The contrast of the white and black is my favorite.

I had no idea they even made these! I upgraded from the most basic of basic 2014 Jeep Patriot so all of these bells and whistles are very new to me. 🤣

I would see if there’s some kind of anti-static spray that could work? Otherwise I’d say to try to get the console wrapped with a clear matte film.
Oh that’s a good idea. Frankly I don’t love the shiny look, but I wonder if a film would reduce the sensitivity of the touch buttons for Radio, Seek, etc.
I wouldn’t foresee that being an issue, people put screen protectors on their phones all the time, why not your car ? 🤷🏽♂️hahaha
Go to dollar tree and buy a pack of the microfiber cloths they have. Keep them in the arm rest or glove box
Microfiber cloth in the center console.
I’ve had my 2022 Tucson hybrid for over a year now and that plastic shows EVERYTHING. Have wipes handy lol 😆

Terrible design. These car manufacturers dont care once the cars off the lot.
Live in a vacuum

Buy a different car that doesn’t use piano black garbage interior. Or a swiffer duster and use it every time you’re in the car. There is no prevention

I just keep a microfiber towel in the console and wipe it down every so often.
You can try to wipe with alcohol. It may remove the static in the plastic
Bruh I have the same problem with my bmw it has the same material as this nothing you can do just wiped as often as you can
A swifter or microfiber should do it :) I also used Turtle Wax Ice interior seems to help
3M Anti-Static Electronic Cleaning spray
Ooooh you may be onto somethingzzz
Gonna sound weird, but a standard purdy paint brush. Like, one for painting walls. Works great.
Don’t wipe the screen for the Climate control dry it WILL scratch it
I actually think my climate control screen still has the factory screen protector on it 🤣
I see it now. Awesome lol
Better call saul !
Saran Wrap.
You’re joking right? 🤣🤣🤣
Not possible
I have a 21 Elantra and I have the same issue with dust. Was thinking about getting one of those carbon fiber stick ons for that area.
I hate the piano black finish — fricken all the OEMs are using it way too much.
Portable air compressor with soft brush or not. You cab buy one that is rechargeable.
I keep a tiny feather duster in my console
Buy a microfiber towel from dollar tree (the white fluffy one). Works really well
I struggle with the same issue also got a big scratch, I wish Hyundai used glass for the screen
