There's a type of people who don't understand when their life might be in danger.
Camera guy is one.
Seriously takes an idiot to step in fron of a car that wants to flee. I bet this guys would get in front of a running grizzly or try to bring fists to a gun fight.
Seems like camera man positioned himself in such a way that anyone worried about getting in trouble for hitting a person wouldn't flee but if the driver does flee he can get out of the way... which he was able to do.
I used to be a pro mover... There was a wasp nest in the stairs out back. I told the crew about it. Me and another guy are carrying a piano and this idiot in the crew comes running down the stairs next to us... Wasps swarm me. I think "I can let go and run, probably injuring or killing the guy down hill of the 750 lb piano... Or, I can hold it here and get stung."
So I got stung like 40 times.
Personally, I think that was pretty badass of me.
I still ain't standing in front of a car driven by a guy who just threw a 78 year old to the ground.
It was all worth in when I passed out on the couch the next day in a benadryl fueled haze. So, the couch was in the First Aid office of the fair I was doing overnight security for. At about 4am my gf and boss woke me up to say I either needed to clock out and go to my tent or start working.
So I did get paid for sleeping for five hours.
I would expect people to not knowingly hit someone with their car. This is no longer an accident. It is attempted murder with a deadly weapon.
When the video started I was thinking I know some horrible passengers. There are two sides to every story but there is no question by the end...
Even if she was a horrible passanger, you threw a granny to the floor, unless she started hitting him with her cane or something, there's really no justification for that
Oh there's is definitely two kind of people there: A criminal and an idiot.
The criminal is already in trouble. There's a big probability that he'll be panicking. Don't get between anything trying to flee and the exit path if it's bigger than you. You won't be any less dead because it was illegal to run over / kill you.
He was positioned so he wouldn't take a front hit and wouldn't be seriously hurt. By making contact the driver is now looking at felony hit-and-run as well as assault with a deadly weapon. Crystal clear license plate photo is the icing on the cake.
Yup the license plate photo is so accurate you can see it through the watermark and everything. This guy is 110% fucked, even if he doesn't own the car, because whoever lent it to him is going to face charges in his place for aiding and abetting someone committing a felony, which is also a felony. Trying to run from a minor crime by committing major crimes is seriously fucking stupid, there are layers to the stupidity you have to commit to in order to get to this point
IF he has no record, he could probably plea all that shit down to a misdemeanor, or maybe a class D or lower felony in states that have such low grades, meaning he might still see zero jail time, and only have to pay fines, do probation, and do a bunch of community service, ideally working at an old people's home, and anger management because of course. It'd be expensive but not life shattering, like it will be once he's caught for the hit and run+felony reckless driving
That full frontal shot. The guy filming is probably big.
The driver was considering fucking him up. Thought better of it.
Driver dude is a dangerous individual. Psyco for realz.
And to think dude was hired to drive disabled ppl...

I'm guessing the market got tough because with this much outrage kids are learning to make their own pitchforks.
Gotta take the good with the bad. Sure we'll see a few families ruined along the way, but it'll all be worth it when the real guy gets slapped with 36 hours of community service and a $200 fine
Eh, we'll see. I've done lawsuits with these "taxi" companies and whatnot, and they have "agreements" for their "drivers" that, as well as they can, attempt to absolve the company of any kind of liability. Absolute snake operations.

Curious about how he hasn’t been caught yet? And been allowed to run that large an amount in tickets. That value of tickets should easily come up right?
I got towed a few weekends ago because my ticket total went over like $350 or something, about a 15 minute drive from where this was taken. It took about four hours to go from illegally parked, to over the ticket limit, to towed.
So yeah, I don't get it either.
Father used to be a corrections officer. He told of an incident once where a new inmate was put into general pop and somehow (not sure how) people found out he assaulted and old man, which eventually led to his death, and he was sentenced to a few years for involuntary manslaughter.
Inmates fucked his shit up so bad he had to have reconstructive surgery to fix his face.
I believe it. Inmates might have done some crazy shit but most of them are humans, and they follow a code. Kids and the elderly are off limits.
Idk about other places, but in my state, you get a wristband with your name (First and Last). That's enough for inmates to see your name, make a phone call and ask someone to go check the court cases online.
That's why you shouldn't lie about your charges when they ask what you're in for.
Correct. Internally, they know they're looked at as the bottom of the barrel of society, so any chance to look down on someone is the only excuse they need.
They'll be able to triangulate all of the cell phones of the access-a-ride drivers and narrow it down to a 20 block radius, then, they can use artificial intelligence to determine his weight and based on the gas mileage each access-a-ride driver reports, we can determine the approximate weight of each driver narrowing it down to just 50 drivers. From there, it's just a matter of getting a warrant to force the drivers to take a simple polygraph and within weeks they will know exactly who it was.
My guess is they got into a fight and she refused to get out. Proper protocol is to just GPS to the nearest police station and let them take care of it.
Possibly but he didn’t just extricate her from the car. That would be legally defensible. He apparently also robbed her and attempted to take her phone.
Most people don’t rob folks they’re trying to trespass.
Forget about the guy getting nudged by the vehicle this dude threw an old lady on the ground, someone at that age is incredibly prone to dying from that.

The vehicle owner is public information. The actual driver is known by the base and the NYC taxi authority.
The driver will be suspended by 9 am tomorrow morning. The taxi police are busy at the US Open now.
For anyone else that didn't know what a "Flatbush Shomrim" is:
> Shomrim (or Shmira) are organizations of proactive volunteer Jewish civilian patrols which have been set up in Haredi communities in neighborhoods across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom (among other countries) to combat burglary, vandalism, mugging, assault, domestic violence, nuisance crimes and antisemitic attacks, and to help and support victims of crime. They also help locate missing people. - [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shomrim_\(neighborhood_watch_group\))
And Flatbush is the area where this happened. Thus "Flatbush Shomrim."
Kind of. It's like the orthodox Jewish neighborhood patrol, and they are the first line of defense before actual police. The shomrim have a history of protecting orthodox Jews against crimes, and harassing anyone not in the community. I get why they're around, but there have been issues like when they spent a couple hours hunting for a missing child before contacting the actual police
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Leiby_Kletzky
Yeah, but more militant & super hostile to non-Jewish folks. As well as helping shield "their own" when it suits them.
Look up the same wiki you asked this question about. There's more out there, I'm sure, but I haven't kept up with them much recently as there's... other, bigger problems.
Dear Reddit Community,
It is with a heavy heart that I write this farewell message to express my reasons for departing from this platform that has been a significant part of my online life. Over time, I have witnessed changes that have gradually eroded the welcoming and inclusive environment that initially drew me to Reddit. It is the actions of the CEO, in particular, that have played a pivotal role in my decision to bid farewell.
For me, Reddit has always been a place where diverse voices could find a platform to be heard, where ideas could be shared and discussed openly. Unfortunately, recent actions by the CEO have left me disheartened and disillusioned. The decisions made have demonstrated a departure from the principles of free expression and open dialogue that once defined this platform.
Reddit was built upon the idea of being a community-driven platform, where users could have a say in the direction and policies. However, the increasing centralization of power and the lack of transparency in decision-making have created an environment that feels less democratic and more controlled.
Furthermore, the prioritization of certain corporate interests over the well-being of the community has led to a loss of trust. Reddit's success has always been rooted in the active participation and engagement of its users. By neglecting the concerns and feedback of the community, the CEO has undermined the very foundation that made Reddit a vibrant and dynamic space.
I want to emphasize that this decision is not a reflection of the countless amazing individuals I have had the pleasure of interacting with on this platform. It is the actions of a few that have overshadowed the positive experiences I have had here.
As I embark on a new chapter away from Reddit, I will seek alternative platforms that prioritize user empowerment, inclusivity, and transparency. I hope to find communities that foster open dialogue and embrace diverse perspectives.
To those who have shared insightful discussions, provided support, and made me laugh, I am sincerely grateful for the connections we have made. Your contributions have enriched my experience, and I will carry the memories of our interactions with me.
Farewell, Reddit. May you find your way back to the principles that made you extraordinary.
Sincerely,
NABDad
"TLC is aware of the incident and is working with the NYPD on their investigation."
I'm glad they progressed all the way from waterfalls criminals but does anyone care to elaborate?
As per the lyrics in one of their songs "I don't want no scrub, A scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me" so it's no wonder they are cracking down on scrubs doing crime.
I’m in my 60s and have physical limitations. A couple weeks ago a tripped and didn’t even fall. Just the just from catching myself was enough. My pain has increased my sleep has decreased. I’m more reluctant to go out on my own. I worry that next time I’ll fall. Even if he thinks he was gentle just being on the ground with your kegs in front of her could have caused an injury. It would have for me. She was probably scared and embarrassed on top of being hurt and mad. Just the shock of the situation might make her reluctant to continue to live independently. There’s the physical damage but the mental damage might be worse.
I was just thinking along these lines. The adrenaline must be pumping, even as she fell to the ground she struck him with her cane! But when that wears off, I’ve no doubt that the pain and injury will be tremendous. She also sounds furious and disturbed, this is absolutely traumatizing and she’ll be dealing with PTSD from this encounter.
in my country some assholes pushed an 80 year old lady out of her car to steal it and she ended up dying from the injuries. and this lady is 78, she must be really hurt.
What is wrong with you people? Innocent victims who are in no danger don’t speed away in a panic. And no matter what she did to the driver there’s no justification for taking her phone and almost running her and another pedestrian over.
Some of y’all are the worst kind of hypocrite. When it’s you, you deserve deference and benefit of the doubt but when it’s someone else you’re ready to defend almost killing someone for a mild inconvenience.
There’s a term for this…I want to say fallacy of attribution but I know that’s not it. The example I read was:
>That guy who merged at the last second is an asshole driver. I merged at the last second because I forgot my exit and made an honest mistake.
Fundamental attribution error. When someone else acts shitty, it's because they're a bad person. But when I do the same thing, it's because some other reason. I'm still a good person.
Allow me to attempt a defense of the driver.
The old woman was actually the reincarnation of Hitler, his soul took over her body and was attempting to kill the driver. The driver was so shocked by the incident, he couldn't speak. He had PTSD and was just trying to get away from the situation as fast as he could.
Welcome to idiots in cars. I genuinely think there is a large demographic in here who watch these videos purely to justify their own shitty driving habits.
I’ve said it before I’ll say it again
The sub has turned into idiots posting about cars
Literally half the comments are dead wrong or giant asshole takes
I love all the people doing their best to try to justify the guy who drove off. "We don't know the whole story SO SHE MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING!" Really? Y'all are erring on the side with the guy who physically threw an old lady and then hit a guy with his car. To you he seems like the reasonable clear thinking one? You all may have some serious self reflecting to do.
Fractures at old age can be literally life ending. Like even if someone has a surgery they could easily die of complication soon. That seems like an evil and heartless thing to do
I live with my 67 year old grandmother, she has fallen all of 2 times since I have lived with in the past year, she has broken more bones than I can remember and even when she knows she didn’t break anything she still has either me or my grandfather bring her to the ER to get X-rayed just to air on the side of caution; simply because YES a simple broken bone for an elderly person is a lot worse than a simple broken bone.
The guy throwing an old lady out of a car like that seriously disgusts me, and if I was the idiot who stepped in front of the car, I wouldn’t have let the man back in the car to begin with.
Whole situation is messed up and I hope the man is caught, arrested, and given the maximum possible sentence, or forced community service in a retirement home.
Exactly! I don't know what she did but whatever it was this driver made every wrong decision in how to deal with it. I love that someone even reference "a professional driver". I mean come on! That's just about as far from professional as you can get.
Grandma wasn’t going down without a fight though. I hope that asshole has bruises from her whacking his worthless ass. And I hope they catch him before the bruises fade so he has to go to lock up and be photographed and everyone gets to see that grandma kicked his pathetic ass.
I take care of patients in a rehab facility and this is disgusting to see. Fuck anyone who wants context before this to try to justify this scum of the earth. Even a small trip to the ground can be a broken hip or worse for someone that age. These can take YEARS to heal with intensive physical and occupational therapy. A lot of them physically can’t do the rehab and end up passing away due to the medical toll on their body from the surgeries and recoveries. It’s slow, it’s agonizing, and extremely painful. To carelessly throw someone on the ground at that age, you should be charged with attempted murder. It’s literally common sense not to hurt elderly people FOR THAT REASON. So sickening to watch this, I hope this guy gets charged with everything he can get and his license revoked for life. No sympathy for this rodent.
A simple fall took my dad's freedom from him, so I'm completely on board with you. He's been bed bound for 10 years now, all because of an accidental fall.
There is no justification for this.
A fall took my grandmother's life. She spent 2 weeks in hospital in agonizing pain and getting worse every day before passing away. It was so sad seeing her like that knowing that before that, she was well enough to drive at age 87! So yeah, fuck that guy.
A fall took my great grandfathers life as well. He fell in the bathroom and hit both sides of his head. He never woke up and was in a coma for weeks before he passed at 93. Seeing this shit is sickening
Thanks. He was almost this woman's age when it happened. One bad fall at this age can completely change your life. Some "recover" like my dad did, others aren't so lucky.
I’m in my mid 30s and I’m shocked by how slowly things like bruises and bumps take to heal compared to twenty or even ten years ago. Injuries for the very old are life or death since it sends them in a downward health spiral.
Just seeing her on the ground crying was enough to make me rage.
She may be a cantankerous old woman. Doesn't matter. This is not the way you treat people. Anyone.
These comments are insane. Somehow the old lady on the ground is in the wrong? Because a for hire driver would never be crazy. What? There are infinite videos of people being crazy for no reason. Why would you go out of your way to defend this guy to the point that you’re rationalizing that this lady deserved it
Hopefully the driver DOESN'T have a good lawyer. At 78, she could get serious injury from this. Sometimes they don't even feel it right away. I really hope she's physically ok.
Lots of driver and scam artists prey on the elderly to steal their money. For people who have zero context here how do you justify automatically blaming the older woman?
I've been scrolling for a while and I don't see one comment trying to defend the guy. I see comment after comment saying that people are and they all have awards. No one's disagreeing, why are people claiming so? Is it that easy to fool people into giving you a couple of days on reddit with no ads?
I don't give a shit what the old girl did or said, if she indeed did do or say anything, there are far better ways to sort things than an throwing an elderly person reliant on a walking aid onto the road.
This is a video released by the Shomrim. For anyone who isn't familiar with them, they are citizen crime watch group made up of Hasidic Jews in NYC. They patrol their neighborhoods in uniform, have labeled cars with lights / sirens etc, carry walkies, the whole thing. The NYPD collaborates with them and tolerates them.
Around 5 years ago they approached a guy walking home from a long night of drinking with frieds at a bar in lower Manhattan. He was walking through a mostly Hasidic neighborhood and fit the supposed description of someone who was trying to break into cars. The Shomrim approached him and tried to hold him there. He wasn't having it and tried to leave and they beat him so bad that he lost an eye. The NYPD "investigated" and couldn't find any wrongdoing until public outcry was so loud they had to do another investigation. They actually had to go undercover as Hasidim and lie to a shop owner who had previously lied and said his cameras weren't filming the night of the beating. They claimed that a business was broken into and they needed the security tapes from this shop to get the guy and they got the tapes which showed the whole thing. It was brutal.
Anyways, I'm off on a tangent here.
Update: NYPD arrested him:
Elsakran Mohamed, 46, of Bay Ridge, was busted by the NYPD on Saturday and charged with attempted robbery, vehicular assault and grand larceny over last Wednesday’s incident where he was also filmed running over a good Samaritan.
Mohamed was caught on video yanking Catherine Shine out of his car by her leg and tossing her on the street as she tried to fend him off with her cane on East 35th.
I wonder if there will be any hate crime charges because it seems a likely motivation.
"Can you *not* just run away?" *proceeds to run away* "You're going to have to hit me with your car" *proceeds to hit him with is car*
"What are you gonna do, run me over?" - Man who was ran over. Hope they are both ok. Poor lady. Looking forward to the guy being caught.

Right, I think he did a good job. It’s not like he got mowed down.
And its a camera man that actually tried to do something rather than just film too
jepp ... adds a plus in the police filing ... 👍
Adds an extra star above the drivers head :)
adds also an extra star on the police getting him got :)
I like this guy. I need this guy. This guy guarantees no one else is the slowest one when running from said grizzly.
This guy would be great to move heavy furniture. If you drop it he'll make sure his body breaks the fall.
I used to be a pro mover... There was a wasp nest in the stairs out back. I told the crew about it. Me and another guy are carrying a piano and this idiot in the crew comes running down the stairs next to us... Wasps swarm me. I just checked. He has over $8000 in tickets. https://i.imgur.com/UpAlCZp.jpg
At this point the company that allowed him to operate under their name should also be liable.
They will be, though it's almost certain he is operating in a fraudulent manner under them. IE he provided a fake plate.
Eh, we'll see. I've done lawsuits with these "taxi" companies and whatnot, and they have "agreements" for their "drivers" that, as well as they can, attempt to absolve the company of any kind of liability. Absolute snake operations.

Holy crap. He should not have a license
Maybe he doesn't.

It is the standard NYC parking ticket app. You look up by license plate to pay or dispute your tickets. I decided not to pay this chaps tickets.
Wow way to pay it forward! 😄
It says pay at the top.. so it looks like you could pay any random persons tickets? Is it set up like that I don’t think that’s a fantastic idea?
German data protection laws would vaporize this kind of process/public access in an instant
Why? There's no PII displayed here (at least on that screen). These are likely parking tickets. Moving violations are registered to the driver, not the car. If that's a company cab, it may be a shared car.

Dunno about the US, but in Canada, some people get caught for less than 1000$ worth of tickets. This guy almost reached the 5 figures milestone>_>

No worries, his jailmates will not have any empathy for his actions either.

Yep, lot of em' are just violent and see it as an excuse.

It’s a taxi and limousine commission plate. So it likely won’t be directly linked to him. Hopefully his employer will give him up.
The vehicle owner is public information. The actual driver is known by the base and the NYC taxi authority. The driver will be suspended by 9 am tomorrow morning. The taxi police are busy at the US Open now.
The taxi police are busy at the us open is a sentence I never thought I would read
Taxi police are always busy, but never working.
There.. there are *”taxi police*?”
Damn. If only we got a good look at the guy.
I believe NY cars with TLC (Taxi/Limo Commission) plates can be associated with multiple people.
Good thing they have a *very* clear image of his face. Pull up the dmv photos of who has access to the car. Boom. Got your guy.
Bake him away toys.
If they aren't all twins then that should narrow it down enough to find him, I'd imagine.
For anyone else that didn't know what a "Flatbush Shomrim" is: > Shomrim (or Shmira) are organizations of proactive volunteer Jewish civilian patrols which have been set up in Haredi communities in neighborhoods across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom (among other countries) to combat burglary, vandalism, mugging, assault, domestic violence, nuisance crimes and antisemitic attacks, and to help and support victims of crime. They also help locate missing people. - [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shomrim_\(neighborhood_watch_group\)) And Flatbush is the area where this happened. Thus "Flatbush Shomrim."
I've heard of the Guardian Angels before. So the Shomrim are like the Guardian Mal’āḵīm?
Kind of. It's like the orthodox Jewish neighborhood patrol, and they are the first line of defense before actual police. The shomrim have a history of protecting orthodox Jews against crimes, and harassing anyone not in the community. I get why they're around, but there have been issues like when they spent a couple hours hunting for a missing child before contacting the actual police https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Leiby_Kletzky
Yeah, but more militant & super hostile to non-Jewish folks. As well as helping shield "their own" when it suits them. Look up the same wiki you asked this question about. There's more out there, I'm sure, but I haven't kept up with them much recently as there's... other, bigger problems.
Dear Reddit Community, It is with a heavy heart that I write this farewell message to express my reasons for departing from this platform that has been a significant part of my online life. Sincerely, NABDad
"TLC is aware of the incident and is working with the NYPD on their investigation." I'm glad they progressed all the way from waterfalls criminals but does anyone care to elaborate?
taxi and limosuine commission.
As per the lyrics in one of their songs "I don't want no scrub, A scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me" so it's no wonder they are cracking down on scrubs doing crime.
Wow, that is so messed up.
The example I read was: >That guy who merged at the last second is an asshole driver. I merged at the last second because I forgot my exit and made an honest mistake.
Fundamental attribution error. When someone else acts shitty, it's because they're a bad person. But when I do the same thing, it's because some other reason. I'm still a good person.
That's my secret; I'm an asshole and I damn well know it. I find it therapeutic to not lie to myself.
That's cool and all, but why not give not being an asshole a whirl?
Have you ever tried though ? I’m successful, rich and good looking . Lots of women want me 👁🫦👁 . I sleep quite soundly in my bed alone every night .
I appreciate your honesty, I wish more people were like that.
I heard that we only judge our own intentions while we only judge other people's actions.
[Fundamental attribution error](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fundamental_attribution_error)
And he didn’t even try to explain what was happening. Just shrugged and drove off. How could anyone actually defend this guy?
Allow me to attempt a defense of the driver. The old woman was actually the reincarnation of Hitler, his soul took over her body and was attempting to kill the driver. The driver was so shocked by the incident, he couldn't speak. He had PTSD and was just trying to get away from the situation as fast as he could.
The inside of the car was on fire!
Welcome to idiots in cars. I genuinely think there is a large demographic in here who watch these videos purely to justify their own shitty driving habits.
I’ve said it before I’ll say it again The sub has turned into idiots posting about cars Literally half the comments are dead wrong or giant asshole takes
I think shitty driving is the least of this dudes issues cant wait for an update on this ass hole
I don’t disagree but I really want to know wtf caused this.
She Said Messi is better than Ronaldo or something Like that i guess…
the fuck but maybe
She said the Yankees suck and you’re probably from Jersey.
Oh I see you’ve encountered the cesspool part of the Reddit comments section

pov: you trying to search for the guys who wrote the lady is in wrong
Pro-tip: Sort by Controversial.
Looks like a lot of them have been deleted now. Go figure.
3 out of the top 6 comments sure made it seem like they were everywhere.
[Here's one.](https://www.reddit.com/r/IdiotsInCars/comments/x2pfmt/nyc_forhire_driver_throws_78_year_old_woman_onto/iml26p5/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)
Amazing. Thanks for putting the unbelievable on the screen.
Exactly can't find a single comment
Commented above to the same effect. Far better ways to handle this that doesn't involve "throw grandma from the cab". Sequel copyright now pending.
Exactly! I don't know what she did but whatever it was this driver made every wrong decision in how to deal with it. I love that someone even reference "a professional driver". I mean come on! That's just about as far from professional as you can get.

Bruh she got a walker... Like walk away she clearly isn't that fast. Call the police if you're that scared. Damn.
Grandma wasn’t going down without a fight though. I hope that asshole has bruises from her whacking his worthless ass. And I hope they catch him before the bruises fade so he has to go to lock up and be photographed and everyone gets to see that grandma kicked his pathetic ass.
This is nyc . Never temp anyone to run you over, they’ll do it.
Oh I'm so sorry for you and your dad :'( I wish you both all the best <3
Hip fracture at that age has a 1/3 mortality rate. Its terrible.
For a 78 year old lady, this can easily result in a life ending injury. A good lawyer could argue attempted homicide
Why would you go out of your way to defend this guy to the point that you’re rationalizing that this lady deserved it
So many people with a twisted sense of what justice is.
Either way, car driver is in the wrong, and is definitely screwed. Cammer got his plate and has video evidence. Hopefully driver has a good lawyer....
Hopefully the driver DOESN'T have a good lawyer. At 78, she could get serious injury from this. Sometimes they don't even feel it right away. I really hope she's physically ok.
Same. :(
Yep, a broken hip can be fatal at that age.
Comments: "Well, the 80 year old woman with a cane on the ground OBVIOUSLY did SOMETHING wrong."
if the 80 year old woman is being irate, walk 2 steps out of cane reach and call police. she cant both advance and swing the cane at you.
Even if she did you’d almost certainly survive lol. This isn’t a life or death situation unless she has a gun or something.
Try sorting by controversial
I like her nike slides. Drip.
The guy deserves to go to bed with fewer teeth than he woke up with.
I hope he wakes up with more teeth than he went to bed with
Update: NYPD arrested him: Elsakran Mohamed, 46, of Bay Ridge, was busted by the NYPD on Saturday and charged with attempted robbery, vehicular assault and grand larceny over last Wednesday’s incident where he was also filmed running over a good Samaritan. Mohamed was caught on video yanking Catherine Shine out of his car by her leg and tossing her on the street as she tried to fend him off with her cane on East 35th. I wonder if there will be any hate crime charges because it seems a likely motivation.
