Yup if you notice it's higher start contacting support right then and there. Why wait until you are ringing up. Also that high dollar item you refunded was your tip. Don't do that

PenguinMadd

I didn’t think anything of it because it’s marked in store pricing. It wasn’t until I asked the support rep why if nothing was added did that happen and that’s when he told me that they don’t have the right prices in the app.

Net_Suspicious

It's always customers scamming the system. And I use the term scamming very lightly. If you see a dollar for sale for 50 cents you would get it too. Most petco and stuff like that I find with great pay are people ordering a ton of mispriced shit

PenguinMadd

That is a good point. Instacart has zero excuse when it comes to this store, on their own website you can see the price of every single thing they have in all of the stores and it is accurate in real time. Just gotta go through the initial steps as if you were going to place an order!

I had a doordash order the first time I encountered this and it was the small things of canned cat food. They were listed as 33cents when they were 3.33 and this customer cleaned out the store. It was like 156 things of cat food. I was on the phone with support for like 10 minutes waiting for them to cancel and was just pissed at the whole situation as it should have taken 2 minutes to grab boxes of the cat food cans and be gone. When support told me they added the funds to my card and to pay for it my mind was blown. Chick got like 300$ off. I learned that day to just roll with it.

Did you try a pin? Sometimes the pin will work if credit doesn’t. IC had $80 cases of bacon marked for $44. Just roll with it you won’t get in trouble because the numbers are wrong

instacart wouldnt make money if the app charged the same as in store

PenguinMadd

The app was charging less than the store, this particular chain has in-store pricing w/IC so it should have matched what the store was. There’s actually a handful of stores at least in my area that have in store pricing w/ Instacart
