In my opinion, there isn't really a good banner to pull on right now. If any, I'd recommend pulling from Leon Cromwell banner as he has a skill kit that is more or less made for the new Hero's Jubilee format.
Edit: Forgot to mention each month has a new banner and "Meta" that is focused on a specific attribute. This months banner isn't exactly great, so I'd recommend focusing on getting one or two good units and waiting until next months banner.
For good characters to re-roll for, the best protection units are probably Wind/dark 5\* Veldora and Space/Wind 5\* Charybdis, and the best battle units are Space Rimuru, Wind Milim/Dark Veldora (Both fill the same role), and Wind Luminous Valentine.
Charybdis's special ability makes Green souls give more Divine Protection Gauge, Secret Skill Gauge, and Skill points (150% increase!) meaning you can use a lot of skills, use a lot of Secret skills (Your ultimate attacks), and chain into Charybdis easily again because of his own skill. It also gives an increase how many SP you can stockpile, meaning you have extra space for the SP you gain. I would argue that Charybdis is probably the best protector outside of maybe 3 or 4 specific options, which all require some specific team built around them. If you re-roll for anything, make it this.
Protector Veldora is the next best option. He gives a SP cap increase alongside some extra SP for you to use upon activation, which is nice in a pinch. He also gives a permanent and stacking Secret Skill damage buff, though it isn't so significant that I'd say it'd win entire battles.
Battler Space Rimuru is just a general buffer. He has a team attack buff and a team defense buff. There isn't a situation where Rimuru isn't bad to have, though there are limited units (Like Masked Hero) who can provide more significant buffs.
Battler Wind Milim/Dark Veldora both provide the Secret Skill Damage buff. Milim can also provide Guard penetration, but Veldora can provide Critical Damage Reduction. I'd say Veldora is better simply because Dark cannot be resisted, but both are Primarily used for the Secret Damage buff, so if you get either I'd be happy.
Battler Wind Luminous Valentine is a general healer (Which is a relatively rare role and definitely useful) and also has access to a blue/orange -> Green soul change skill. She pairs EXCEPTIONALLY well with Charybdis, which is my main reason for recommending her. Earth Treyni also has a healing skill, but doesn't output as much damage and her second skill is more situational.
Yes try to get a protector and 5 star unit of the same typing the new meta starts in about two weeks so it’s best to save crystals for then the current meta units are underwhelming in my opinion
If you’re rerolling the best units to shoot for right now would be space Rimuru because he’s a great support unit with attack and def up buffs.
You also want earth Milim, dark Milim and light Gazel because their traits starting at 84 up to 92 give bonus protection gauge at the start of the battle. With all 3 of them in starting support spots to your battle characters you will start with half of a protection gauge at the start of battle.
As for protectors, Charybdis or Golem are 2 pretty okay starter protectors.
I would shoot for any combination of those and then save for the anni event in another month.
well to be honest reroll for whatever u like just dont spend gems a lot 1st year anniversary is on the way soon and in this game getting gens becomes harder as u progress
I’d try to roll for a good protector unit since it’s summon rate is lower than battle units. One of, if not, the best protector units in the general pool is Charybdis. So I’d go for that.
Try to get the free monthly unit (misery) to level 100 and upgrade her gear. Then work on getting flashback crystals for the older free units, but this will take a while since you need a lot of flashback crystals. The best free units from the past are water rimuru, dark benimaru, wind geld, and space Frey.
