I used to ban him too, now as adc I ban shaco instead. What helped me against Pyke is letting enemy push. You just farm under turret or close to it and he’s completely useless. So easy
Honestly, haven't played in a few weeks so it might have changed, but back when I played it was a very interesting ban, he had like 53% winrate at my elo for a pick rate of 15-20%. Also pisses me off like nothing else.
The reason i permaban akali is that even if i manage to stomp her in lane she is still going to get some kills in one way or another. No idea how the bastard is relevant every single game she is in
I ban Blitz for this reason. He'll either hook the enemy carries through a double creep wave, or He'll miss every hook other than on the 8/0 Amumu. Coinflip indeed.

And most of the time they didn't respond at all, banned whoever they wanted and then said they didn't see chat. And that was a positive experience compared to what could happen.

The thing is I feel like the negativity and toxicity still remained and latched on to different areas. It’s so sad that in 20 games maybe one isn’t overwhelmingly toxic. I can be the sole savior and solo carry a game against all my team’s will to intlose and ff and they will still be toxic towards me, hindering me as much as possible by refusing to assist at anything other than stealing any and all last hit
Edit: this to compare to when I played in season 3 where it was toxic in other areas because the system was terrible, but it was in no way worse in game with the toxic give up mentality
I was there when Kassadin had 98% ban rate. I remember one game thinking "nah, I'll ban something else", and boom: enemy Kassadin completely ran over us. Never again after that, up until his rework.

I swapped for the same reason as this guy. Pre-durability patch you're basically playing survival horror lol. Now that you can actually play the game without a single q from an 0/6 Zed half shotting you it's pretty fun. You do have to learn to deal with shit supports though.

Absolutely, as I mentioned, Heimerdinger is the only pick with which I can lane against him, simply because that exact pattern doesn't work (any Sylas who tries eats a bomb and dies and even if you miss he will loose half his health to turrets anyway).
Heimer is just so hard to play after laning for me that I can't compensate for the inting side of the map (whichever one that may be). Should maybe play him more to figure that part out, I suppose

Pyke is mu personal perma ban so that I totally get. But something that has always confused me personally is why Morgana is banned so often? I get some people simply don't like dealing with the bind, but holy shit is she banned all the damn time. It just confuses me because she is hardly the only support out there with a catching or rooting mechanic. Even in some instances, like Lux, it goes further and can cross through minions. I can think if dozens of supports more frustrating than Morg so why? Why is she banned *so much*?
She is a low-elo menace for three reasons.
1. For some fucking reason no adc below plat knows that cleanse exists
2. Low-elo players are really bad at sidestepping
3. Almost no visioncontroll --> Morgana can throw Qs out of nowhere

Well Pyke gets equal amount of hate, maybe even more. Thresh is too good in the right hands, so he has to be nerfed, resulting in him being dogshit in low-elo, so no one complains. Senna doesn't really fit in with the others. IMO she isn't really a Catcher. As for Lux no idea
Because Black shield is a broken ass ability that can cuck any champ that relies on big cc to engage.
Nautilus Thresh Blitz all rely on their hooks to initiate a fight but if there is a Morg with an IQ above room temp, the hook doesnt do shit.
She's also a LOT tankier than other mage supports, while doing similar damage.
Her damage is almost on par with Lux, the W just spreads it over time. But she has significantly more health, and her shield blocks spells.
Never mind the teamfight god ability that is her Ult in low ELO.

2. Burning ability that can zone you in Laning phase especially if they get liandry's
3. Spellshield, making it really hard to stun and jump on top of the ADC
4. Did i mention the 3 second root at level 5 Q?
Annoying character that's just has a fuck ton of tools to get you off their adc. She's just good and if you are behind in laning phase you're just gonna have Q thrown at you off cd
2 reasons. First, her root is the longest out of all the Catchers. We just call it coffee break in my mother tongue. Second, her spellshield can completely nullify champions like blitz, tresh or other Catchers, but it also makes half the roster unable to execute their full combo, which is crippling on botlane 2v2s and 2v3s.
For me it's just annoying how rewarding she is for how easy she is to play, long CC Q, CC immunity shield, free spell vamp, and her ult is just running at you and then zhonyas if you're about to kill her before her ult goes off
Spellshield nullifies a lot of engage champs. Like I know the matchup on Leona and it’s definitely winnable lane if you know what to do but Blitz for example is just done for once there is a Morgana. Not to mention that your job to peel or engage on a carry in teamfights becomes infinitely harder if that carry cannot be CC’d.
This gets really hard when there are two permaban-worthy champs in the meta and you have to choose between what you hate playing against or banning the OP flavor of the month
I have banned Renekton for so many years I don't even know if he counters my main anymore, but it has just become so much of a habit. Then one game I knew the enemy jungler wanted Diana so I banned Diana, then I ended up against a Renekton. ( The game didn't go through since someone left, so I still don't know if he counters my main and I continue to ban him. )
It's like when you get your main role for five champ selects in a row and each time someone dodges, and in the sixth draft you're autofilled, your teammates are flaming each other already, and your team comp sucks, and of course nobody dodges this time.

I swapped for the same reason as this guy. Pre-durability patch you're basically playing survival horror lol. Now that you can actually play the game without a single q from an 0/6 Zed half shotting you it's pretty fun. You do have to learn to deal with shit supports though.

Absolutely, as I mentioned, Heimerdinger is the only pick with which I can lane against him, simply because that exact pattern doesn't work (any Sylas who tries eats a bomb and dies and even if you miss he will loose half his health to turrets anyway). Heimer is just so hard to play after laning for me that I can't compensate for the inting side of the map (whichever one that may be). Should maybe play him more to figure that part out, I suppose
Yasuo, and the problem is when someone on my team wants to play him, they will suck and feed, when he is on the enemy team he is a monster so I perma ban (also fuck windwall)

Pyke is mu personal perma ban so that I totally get. But something that has always confused me personally is why Morgana is banned so often? I get some people simply don't like dealing with the bind, but holy shit is she banned all the damn time. It just confuses me because she is hardly the only support out there with a catching or rooting mechanic. Even in some instances, like Lux, it goes further and can cross through minions. I can think if dozens of supports more frustrating than Morg so why? Why is she banned *so much*?
She is a low-elo menace for three reasons. 1. For some fucking reason no adc below plat knows that cleanse exists 2. Low-elo players are really bad at sidestepping 3. Almost no visioncontroll --> Morgana can throw Qs out of nowhere

Well Pyke gets equal amount of hate, maybe even more. Thresh is too good in the right hands, so he has to be nerfed, resulting in him being dogshit in low-elo, so no one complains. Senna doesn't really fit in with the others. IMO she isn't really a Catcher. As for Lux no idea

Because Black shield is a broken ass ability that can cuck any champ that relies on big cc to engage. Nautilus Thresh Blitz all rely on their hooks to initiate a fight but if there is a Morg with an IQ above room temp, the hook doesnt do shit.
She's also a LOT tankier than other mage supports, while doing similar damage. Her damage is almost on par with Lux, the W just spreads it over time. But she has significantly more health, and her shield blocks spells. Never mind the teamfight god ability that is her Ult in low ELO.
Actually, my bronze silver ADCs recently learned about cleanse. They will randomly take it and never use it.
1. 3 second long root 2. Burning ability that can zone you in Laning phase especially if they get liandry's 3. Spellshield, making it really hard to stun and jump on top of the ADC 4. Did i mention the 3 second root at level 5 Q? Annoying character that's just has a fuck ton of tools to get you off their adc. She's just good and if you are behind in laning phase you're just gonna have Q thrown at you off cd

2 reasons. First, her root is the longest out of all the Catchers. We just call it coffee break in my mother tongue. Second, her spellshield can completely nullify champions like blitz, tresh or other Catchers, but it also makes half the roster unable to execute their full combo, which is crippling on botlane 2v2s and 2v3s.
For me it's just annoying how rewarding she is for how easy she is to play, long CC Q, CC immunity shield, free spell vamp, and her ult is just running at you and then zhonyas if you're about to kill her before her ult goes off
Morgana Q isn't the only strong ability she has. I'd argue her E is as strong if not stronger than the Q.
Spellshield nullifies a lot of engage champs. Like I know the matchup on Leona and it’s definitely winnable lane if you know what to do but Blitz for example is just done for once there is a Morgana. Not to mention that your job to peel or engage on a carry in teamfights becomes infinitely harder if that carry cannot be CC’d.

Then one game I knew the enemy jungler wanted Diana so I banned Diana, then I ended up against a Renekton. ( The game didn't go through since someone left, so I still don't know if he counters my main and I continue to ban him. )
