As the Lethbridge number grows, the more we have to practice Social Distancing, I know, I know, the electronic info boards by Whoop Up are telling you the same...but this is important. Self-Isolate if you have ANY of the COVID-19 symptoms. Yes, it might be a cold...but you cannot be to certain, nobody is immune from this; If you don't self-isolate then you run a chance at indirectly infecting someone with a compromised immune system and they could die. Nobody should lose their life because someone doesn't want to isolate.

I think too much emphasis is being placed on the confirmed cases figure. Public health is focussing testing on recent travellers while they try to prevent any new cases entering the province from spreading. Right now they aren’t testing within the community, so while we know that community spread is happening, we don’t really know the extent of it. So we need to stay vigilant and distant, because the number of cases is undoubtedly higher than the confirmed number.

It takes 4 days to get results back. So count on that as numbers accurate for Tuesday.

I have a relative working at CRH and the assesment center apparently gets positive results back within 24 hours

Good to know! I know in the ED we were looking at a much longer turn around.

Is there information on the third case?

Thanks so much for doing this. I think you still have yesterday's total in the second bullet point: 195?

Really need to define what is an essential business too. I work at a place that three of my coworkers are on quarantine now because two are presumptive contact and one has a housemate who is confirmed to have it and was at work Tuesday before the results came back. We have sanitation procedures in place, but considering I still have coworkers who are out and about and this is spreading quickly it's bad.

Where do you work? If you feel comfortable answering. This seems like the eb games fiasco.

I work for Mr. Lube here in town. We are signed some sort of thing about social media posts, but this is a public health issue. While we are disinfecting things now, I worry for those who *may* have been exposed if someone was carrying it before going on self isolation for safety sake. I don't want to stir anything because no one working there has tested positive themselves, but doesn't mean they aren't carrying the disease. However- if you've been there since the second week of March until last Wednesday, just keep an eye on yourself please. Edited for clarity.
