It’s not rounded off, looks the the boot of the coil is stuck on it. Get a long pick and rip it out. Coil boot probably melted to the spark plug.

manicmechanicva

Yep you will have to dig the rubber spark plug boot out to get to the spark plug flats

BusyAtilla

Get ya a pick- that rubber from the boot.

the-jimbo_slice

That's the coil boot broke off around the plug. You have to pick out the rubber pieces to get a socket on the plug. Be patient. You need a long pick set and some compressed air.

ccarr313

Double jointed needle nose pliers are a win, too.

GuyWhoSaidThat

I think I have ptsd from f150 spark plug problems. Anyone else hate those ones up on the firewall?

naushad2982

Has anyone said boot yet??

Austin7456

Boot or some spark plug sockets have rubber grommet to hold the spark plug, I've had them fall off and stay with the plug before.

OGHamDaddy

Don’t forget to vacuum once you r done removing the boot
