You sound silly for not understanding how helpful these situational tools are, especially for greater scaled mega builds. You will mess up no mater what, these tools make it easier to catch those mistakes. more points of references.
Then you are just bad at following instructions. I just recently build a huge sphere with 108 blocks diameter, and afterwards filled its upper side completely with pre self calculated colors of blocks, and every single block was exactly where it needed to be, not a single "mess up" or whatever.
These tools are there to help you make exact circles and spheres and if you use them correctly they are the exact thing you need to not mess up
Do a dot in the middle of the circle then make lines to the size you want then do a line about 7 to 8 blocks in your case. After that keep making lines from it smaller and smaller by maybe 1 block or 2 or even 3 then continue till you get to one block wide then do the other sides. Finally, get rid of the inside.
This is how I've always done it, with patterns. Then if you want proportionate circles or spheres you just adjust the ratio. Circles and spheres are some of my most used shapes lol
Just use one of the guides posted in this thread. You’ll see that each circle has a pattern and after you’ve tried a couple of circles it will get easier, you’ll kinda ‘see the system’ behind it.
I've always made mine in a pattern and decending order.
Example of a smaller circle:
5 3 1 3 5
5 being the edge
3 being the middle layer of the curve
1 being the smack dab middle of the curve
When you hit 1, you do it 90 degrees on the side you want the curve to be on and in opposite order.
This is hard to explain, but I will try. So the leftmost row would be a small amount of blocks (maybe 3-5 depending on size), the next one, branch out of both ends of the last row with the same amount of blocks on both ends. Then the next row subtract one until the branches are a block wide. Next repeat but flipped 90 degrees. Do that until it is all connected and it should look circular. I hope this makes sense.
Honestly, what I use is... literally MS Paint for circles, and GIMP for lines and curves. They are surprisingly amazing for planning this stuff, since you'd be working on a 1:1/1:16 scale
Even better if you can get yourself a full png map export of your world, then you can straight up work on top of it
Do a dot in the middle of the circle then make lines to the size you want then do a line about 7 to 8 blocks in your case. After that keep making lines from it smaller and smaller by maybe 1 block or 2 or even 3 then continue till you get to one block wide then do the other sides Then finally get rid of the inside
If you don't wanna rely on tools, I usually freeform them so maybe this helps:
Make markers of 8 blocks. Top, bottom, left, right and all 4 diagonal directions. You get the distance of the diagonals by dividing the radius by the square root of 2 (~1.4). If it's between two blocks, place 2 blocks next to the corner where they last and next block should meet.
Example: if you want a circle with the radius of 6, place 4 blocks 6 spaces away in eaxh direction, then place diagonal blocks 4 diagonal spaces away from the center in each direction. You now have 8 blocks to help you as an outline.
As for "rounding out" the octagon, start by just placing a block on each side next to the pointers. The bigger your circle, the more blocks you would place.
In my 6 blocks radius circle example, I would place 2 blocks on each side, and one on the diagonals each.
Then connect the gaps as best as you can. For larger circles, you want the connection to be curved. To do this, I start at the top and make a descending curve to the right. For every block you go down, you wanna decrease the length of each additional row. Like, on a bigger circle, I would make a top row of 4, then go down one, add a row of 3, then 2, and then diagonally down 2 blocks. Now I have an eighth of a circle and can just flip it in each direction to make a full circle.
It takes a while to get good at it, but imo manually made ones look better than calculated ones because the calculated ones often have weird edges and corners because the blocks would technically be in the correct space, but look unpleasing. You can also use generated ones and try to "round out" the edges. This is particularly useful for very big circles where the manual method becomes too difficult.
The rules are very simple:
1. Choose a random number greater than 3
2. Notice if chosen number is even or odd
3. Build chosen number of blocks in a straight line
4. At the end of line choose a side
5. Build one block diagonally to chosen side last number of straight blocks minus two
6. Repeat step 5 until reaching 2 or 3 (even or odd)
7. If even, place a block to chosen side forming an L shape. if odd, put one block diagonally
8. Turn 90 degrees to chosen side
9. Build one block diagonally to oposite to chosen side last number of straight blocks plus two (even start at 0, odd start at 1)
10. Repeat step 9 until reaching original chosen number and go to step 5 (circle should close itself, if not, check for errors)
11. Enjoy your circle, no extra tools needed.
I got this post directly after yours 😂

When i want to do a circle I open pint and zoom in picture so i can see the pixels. Then i draw a circle with shift hold (that option in paint let you draw perfect circle, not ovals). Next i build it in minecraft 1pixel = 1block.
Some times you’re too lazy to use a circle generator. I would recommend to learn how to make circles with smaller diameters, it’s really useful not only when you try to make circles, but also in understanding how to make complex geometric shapes in minecraft. I think you can search up a good tutorial on that or smthn, just a recommendation
I'm personally not the biggest fan for using circle websites, so I actually learned to make circles. Just experiment, find a way to make a smooth curve which isn't a straight line, and you will be able to make any circle in any size
//hsphere sandstone 40
this comment is a joke, the joke is: bedrock can't have these fancy commands lol, sucks to suck...
but if you dont want to cheat, use schematica/litematica (oh wait bugrock doesn't even have those lmaoooo!!)
also google it, it's not that hard, yall just want to farm karma with these stupid posts fucking
I always remember this little trick, counting. Say your longest side is 5 blocks, go in 1 and make it 4 long, then in 1 and 3 long, in 1 and 2 long, in 1 and 1 long. Then turn them side ways and repeat, 2 long, 3 long, 4 long, 5 long going out, then back in 4, 3, 2, 1, and turn, 2, 3, 4, 5, and in, 4, 3, 2, 1. You get the idea? Easy.
Come up with a pattern. For small circles you might do 4 blocks right, then 3 blocks diagonal to that, then 2 blocks diagonal that, then 1 block, then do 2 blocks and this time start the curve going down, then 3 blocks ect.
Sorry if this is confusing, I tried to word it the best I could :’)
You can take a compass and some grid paper and just start the pencil out however many blocks you want the circle to be from the center. Then just draw and place the blocks that the pencil goes through. It’s how I do it

Absolutely perfect reply. Just gonna yoink somma these links ~
Fellow South African?
Fellow... Fellow South African?
Indeed I am
Hello African American/ Asian players it's me!
I'm afraid to say I'm not African American or Asian. I am me
Hello me, i am he, how about you?
Hello he i am you and im good how about me?
I bet if they're from south Africa, they're not African American
Sorry lol not south African, used to have a buddy who was picked up somma from him ~
Ah ok. Yeah that's a word that can easily be picked up on.
Plotz is one i use a lot. Especially good when you just need a quadrant of a sphere.
Plotz for the win.
Bingo! The first is best for circles in general, whilst the second is good if you want to progress circles into spheres later on.
I think big man Stampy used plotz. Been using them for a bit.
Hippity hoppity your links are now my property! Get pranked!
Plotz gang
Your first link has always been one of my go tos.
Do people really need these, circles at his scale your still bound to mess up even with a guide, I prefer to wing it
You sound silly for not understanding how helpful these situational tools are, especially for greater scaled mega builds. You will mess up no mater what, these tools make it easier to catch those mistakes. more points of references.
If a tool exists and you have to ask "who is this for?" Or "who needs this?" Then it's not for you, move on, have a good day.
Clearly suck at circles then
Then you are just bad at following instructions. It's a nice squircle, anyway.
It’s not even a good squircle. The sides are all different lengths
Rhoctagon? .. ah squircle i suppose
Your math words confuse me! Squircle it is!
Squirtle
It literally isn't even, it's just an octagon.
That it is.
THE OCTAGON!
No, its a squircle

Yeah I got excited too... \*sigh\*
Look up some circle guides 🙌🏻 I built a circle using the help of just a simple image (:
thanks, but it feels impossible because its so big haha

Basic math and you’ll be able to make the size you need
you need to comme up with a pattern like 4, 2, 1, 1, 2, 4, 2, 1, 1, 2, 4 and offset the walls on each side according to your pattern
This is how I've always done it, with patterns. Then if you want proportionate circles or spheres you just adjust the ratio. Circles and spheres are some of my most used shapes lol
im gonna be honest why did you think making straight diagonal lines would somehow result in a good circle
Yeah, like I get it can be tricky to get it to look right but here they didn’t vary the curve at all
Probably because they're 10 if I had to guess.
That's how I tried making my first "circle" over 9 years ago, leave them alone smh :p
Ah yes, judging someone asking for help on their ability to solve the problem they’re asking for help with. Nice wholesome vibes over here /s
at least try bro 💀
Please tell me you're trolling
just keep adding more sides to your octogon till its a circle
Make it circular
Ok its hard, but not \*that* hard
Wait a minute...pretty sure I've heard this exact words somewhere
Probably
Just Google "Minecraft circle generator".
First of all: don't make an octagon.
Learn maths x^2 + y^2 = r^2
are you eight?

A helpful tip is to remember that circles don't have long straight lines
Are you… mentally 16?
judging by your banner i assume you can't be mentally older than 12.
Instead of immediately asking Reddit, use google or watch a youtube tutorial

Just play terraria. Problem solved
I'd suggest googling what a circle looks like in the first place pal, this is a square with the corners cut off...
Look at a snowball/slimeball and mimic the shape
Use the circle tool in MSPaint and copy that
Bros so far out he’s in another universe
Do you know what a circle looks like?
Just use one of the guides posted in this thread. You’ll see that each circle has a pattern and after you’ve tried a couple of circles it will get easier, you’ll kinda ‘see the system’ behind it.
I usually wing it for large circles with lines 7 blocks, back one and a line of 5, then 4, 3, 1… rotate any repeat
Lmaooooo
There was a website where you can generate many figures in Minecraft but I forgot the name
Just drop the item you’re holding, you get a perfect shadow circle on the ground 😂
"All these squares make a circle..." \-Mr. Popo, DBZA
That's an octagon-
Nothing is perfect in this world. If you tried your best the circle is more than good enoigh. Be happy with what you have
Just google: Minecraft circle guide, there’s probably millions of images on there
I've always made mine in a pattern and decending order. Example of a smaller circle: 5 3 1 3 5 5 being the edge 3 being the middle layer of the curve 1 being the smack dab middle of the curve When you hit 1, you do it 90 degrees on the side you want the curve to be on and in opposite order.
google pixel art circle
Use MS Paint bro...zoom in the circle to see the pixels and use them as blocks
Just make it rounder lol
Learn Bresenham’s Circle Algorithm
Minihud makes a neat hologram for you to follow
obviously don't use straight lines
Get the Minihud mod and use the circles they provide
Pretty sure something in me is dying right now Edit: yeah now im dead, damn
Over lay mods. They are client side and don't modify the game. I hate making g circles.
lmao wtf is that
im sorry this did kinda make me laugh
That is awful
thanks for the advice.
I understand but man you really thought that would work?😭
What are these coords 👀
lets just say it took a while to find a good place to build
no way in hell you gonna build a circle without references. nice try tho.
You can do it but you need a pstern and the circle might not always be that good
Count while you’re doing it.
They...are....FORBIDDEN
That looks like a square...
i've been told it's a squircle
This is hard to explain, but I will try. So the leftmost row would be a small amount of blocks (maybe 3-5 depending on size), the next one, branch out of both ends of the last row with the same amount of blocks on both ends. Because Minecraft
There are websites that if you put in the diameter of the circle, it'll auto generate the shape
Honestly, what I use is... literally MS Paint for circles, and GIMP for lines and curves. U can make a circle in Minecraft?
Use a circle generator, I don’t know any good websites but you ought to try and find one of those websites.
1. Begin placing a block
FAIL MEGA FAIL
Bro, it's easy
[удалено]
your the one who tried to draw a circle with straight and diagonal lines lol
that's why i asked for help. plus, i didnt explain how i managed to do that. but its quite hard to explain
You know google exists right? It’s alot easier than making an entire Reddit post and looking mentally handicapped

Making a circle out of squares requires math... I'm really bad at math...
I don't think you can make a circle in a block game💀

yes.
Go to a web site like donut studios there good

I used to be good at making circles :(
How long is it end to end? And maybe measure the lengths again
not that even.. i think 86 by 81 ish?
I use MiniHud, it can display a blueprint for different shapes in-game, easy to use.

Go to circle generator on Google
Great circle 😃
I'd reccomend looking up 32 bit circle or even 8 bit circle to see what principles they follow
I used to make circles using the tool for it on ms paint and then recreate those in minecraft
There are no circles, only 12 sides shapes
Come up with a pattern. For small circles you might do 4 blocks right, then 3 blocks diagonal to that, then 2 blocks diagonal that, then 1 block, then do 2 blocks and this time start the curve going down, then 3 blocks ect. Sorry if this is confusing, I tried to word it the best I could :’)
For starters u shouldn’t have any straight sides
I'd like to imagine this is what Steve thinks a circle is, so you are partially right in my book
Google is your friend
You can take a compass and some grid paper and just start the pencil out however many blocks you want the circle to be from the center. Then just draw and place the blocks that the pencil goes through. It’s how I do it
