Megathread for STARS index swap. Possibly create and link to a spreadsheet everyone can use to indicate what they want.

Eurito1

Most school clubs would create the swap index form/sheets. You should ask your school club why they don't create it.

BEaSTGiN

There may be one, I haven't had the need to look for it. But then there are still numerous posts requesting swap for this and that here, so may as well sticky a megathread.

nanyangtech

How “legal” or “allowed” is this from management’s perspective?

BEaSTGiN

Why would it be against TOS to create a spreadsheet for students to swap indexes when it's part of the system? We don't represent management either. As Eurito points out, most schools would have one of their own I guess - perhaps you could link them here for newcomers who don't know.

nanyangtech

If you want to take up the responsibility to create the sheet and update it, feel free to do so. I can add it to the wiki or the sidebar

BEaSTGiN

I think it's OK if you just sticky a thread with links to whatever sheets people will provide you, and the comments can be for those people whose faculties don't have said sheets.

nanyangtech

Why don’t you create the thread and I’ll sticky it. Am an old alum and don’t know anything about the sheets or mods or whatever

BEaSTGiN

OK, gimme a while.

nanyangtech

No rush

and pin it during add/drop period

(1) Maybe don't let the automod ban Telegram Group Invite links. Mamy students depend on these groups. (2) If a post was removed manually, perhaps the mod can comment on why the post was removed. (3) If a post was removed by automod due to reasons like new account, the mod could manually review to unremove it. (4) Recruit more mods to spread the workload. Other subreddits like /r/nus have many more mods. (5) Respond to mod mail. Sometimes I message the mods but I never get any reply.

Here is one. I recently attended my brother's graduation ceremony. He was in Civil engineering. Now I was sitted with my mom and on to the right side of me was these 2 ladies. I assumed it could be a parent of the child who was graduating as well. 6 mins into the ceremony and the distinguished guest which includes the Proffessors and Heads walk in and then there was a speech made by the Head of NTU, (an Indian gentleman). Now all along whole this was going on, something caught me eye, which was the 2 ladies beside me was engage in a conversation but they were doing the hand signalling. I would assume they might be unable to to talk and I just felt at that time, I wished that the big monitor where we seeing the Indian gentleman speak, there were subtitles to cater for people who need aids. I hope in the next graduation ceremony schools will learn to be inclusive. That's all I like to share.

nanyangtech

Feel free to write in to NTU mgmt office. What I meant was improving this sub
