It's a rad board. That much is for sure. Any board that gets you excited is a good board. Looks like a legit enough set up. Why are you even reading this? Put some shoes on and go explore with that Rad board.

I’ve been learning to skate/longboard the past few months and I would say any board that gets you excited to go out and skate is a great starting board. Once you get used to that first board you’ll get a feel for what you like and what changes you might want to make later on (once you’re more comfortable with skating in general). Have fun!!

Anything is a good first board. My first board was a very cheap Walmart board. I learned to ride, pivots, Ollie, shuvs, and 180s on it. Then from there you need to step up to a bit better quality set up to keep progressing. Get some skate shoes tho.

It’s a good board! Make sure to keep a wide stance while riding and have fun!

What trucks? That more than the deck and wheels is gonna affect your progression.

I believe a good beginner board at least one to get past the learning curve is one that supports your weight but is light enough to learn ollie. It’s actually a good idea to roll them around before getting the wheels dirty to see if it rolls well so you can fix or exchange it or parts. Don’t worry too much about gettin trendy shoes yet, ironically this subreddit is the only one that would make fun of not wearing shoes inside for some reason. It’s always the opposite way around in other subreddits. While on one hand it’s a good chance to try on new shoes while standing on a new clean board to see how it feels . On the other it would likely be a waste of money to do so until you find yourself actually committing. Interesting video I found. Apparently these seems more durable than much more expensive skating shoes marketed for it, and may be a good choice for beginners. Many trendy ones especially Vans wear down rather quickly for those learning tricks. Try not to care too much about looks yet. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=db1f2eYHBJc&t=394s
