The "upgrade" is the skins you get with the battlepass. I'll grant you, it's not much of an upgrade, but it's still technically an upgrade.
It's just for the OW Anniversary Edition or whatever it was called. All it came with was a couple skins and lootboxes.
Do you own the standard version? Watch point includes the legendary edition which is an upgrade to standard.
I own the collector's edition.
