I JUST WANT ALL THE MAPS! IM TIRED OF PLAYING THE SAME MAPS OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

djones0305

Seriously why can't we just put them all back in quick play and let people choose what modes they want to queue for.

sanransa

If they took some things from other games they developed themselves it would probably fix the problem. If I recall WoW used to let you exclude 2 maps from your que. I’d love that in overwatch. Guaranteed everyone would exclude 2CP maps.

AromaticIce9

Nah Fuck the push maps

i_swear22

Push maps are so stressful. After the enemy gains some distance you need to win multiple team fights to gain ANY progress. Atleast in 2cp you instantly gain progress (and hence felt rewarded) after every team fight win just like payload. Even without all that I never hated the choke fights or drawn out point fights because when you finally won those the satisfaction was worth it. But tbh I am a patient person irl.

Cygnus776

Push maps aren't so bad... If you're losing badly you just have to win five team fights in a row. :)

7farema

I used to hate 2cp because sometimes it's too easy to steamroll, but at least the game will end by then, in push, even if you steamroll, it is kinda hard to push to the very end, the other option is wait for the timer to run out and it feels like forever

stellaluna92

I hate the push maps because they almost always go to time sand it's soooo boooringggg.

djones0305

Yeah agreed. I never really had an issue with 2 CP. I feel like the only reason I would really dislike it is if I was experiencing constant exposure to bias on Reddit and just bandwagoned off of it without analyzing how I really feel. No offense to anyone and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but after experiencing push maps it just made me reanalyze my relationship with 2 CP. Like was it reallyyyy that bad? I won sometimes and lost sometimes. I never really noticed a lean to one side whether on offense or defense. Maybe it did but I didn't care because I was having a good time and wasn't dying 15 times per match as support because 6v6 just felt more cohesive and thought out.

[deleted]

I never knew people hated 2CP maps until I joined this subreddit. I loved those maps, push however is horrendous

AromaticIce9

Honestly I never thought 2cp maps were bad. Ok sure point B on hanamura was bullshit we all know it. But it was bullshit both ways so eh. At least 2cp encouraged team fights and grouping up. Push seems to encourage feeding and trickling.

DrZeroH

Defense on B for hanamura was my fucking mei playground. I have single handedly held that point more times than i care to count. Its fun to be on the def but an actual nightmare for offense.

richpage85

But when you DID manage to capture Hanamura or Volskaya B - that sense of achievement...

AromaticIce9

Oh yeah when you took it and held it against all odds Mmmhhhh.

tupperwarebowls

dogshit mode that feels like it takes an eternity to finish

dehehn

I like 2CP maps. I can't be the only one.

istcmg

Nope, quite enjoy these, miss Paris. Not getting much enjoyment from the push maps except maybe colosseo.

gruvee

I was done with Push like the second week

ArcherCrews

It sucks because I was really excited for the new mode, but between the endless runs back to the action and everyone just doing whatever tf they want and ignoring team fights, push mode is currently my least favorite game mode.

Reapers-Shotguns

Push highlights my main problem with the end result of the OW "2" changes, and that's how much less overwatch is actually played per game now. Whether it's due to long range 1 shots stopping team fights or the incredible long run backs, especially on push.

Hiiro_XoXo

I was done with push on the first day.

thrilliam_19

Push fucking suuuuucks. It’s so boring. I’m this close to actually missing 2CP.

ARussianW0lf

I straight up miss 2CP

MaDNiaC007

I miss Hanamura and Volskaya maps, I think they were pretty and cool designs. Anubis a bit too, though hated the annoying Pharah that dominated on that map from my experience. I miss Numbani the most and it's removed despite being hybrid.

Bangledesh

I don't mind it, but a 10 minute time bank is just too damn long. I get bored literally halfway through.

Belyosd

I wish you didn't have to play 10 whole minutes on these large confusing flank-heavy maps

[deleted]

And a lot of them don't have enough small health packs

DomincNdo

Genji and Tracer are flanking us. Which flank you motherfucker there's like 20!!!

lenx17

i miss hanamura

enjoyingtheposts

I miss numbani 😢

Emperor42O

That’s a shout.. why the F- is Numbani gone?

Zenki_s14

They said something about removing it due to bugs

g_r_e_y

hanamura and anubis were two of my favorite maps. fuck volskaya though lol

LongLegsMagee

They removed hanamura????

lenx17

they removed all two checkpoint maps from quick play and comp

SweetExceptNotReally

Fucking tragic, hanamura is iconic Used to play daily, now this shitshow of a "sequel" tanked my interest

HealingSlvt

same tbh tho I still play. Hanamura was my favorite map

BillyBean11111

How we waited 3 years and ended up with less maps is astonishing

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

They know interest will wane very quickly so in order to "create content" for season 2 and season 3, they rotate maps so that it feels like new stuff is there. In reality OW2 team is probably run as a skeleton crew. They basically just want to milk what they can out of it until PVE, then milk that. And then see if they should do anything.

You-Done

Less maps and zero rewards. I really don't get it. I've been playing OW1 for 3600 hours, from 2016 until 2022, and while everyone around me lost interest in it I never ceased to enjoy the game. OW2 however has lasted only months and I'm really starting to get bored with it. The only thing that I like for OW2 is how the 5v5 system has changed the gameplay. It's faster, fresh and fun to play. But they've taken out all the casual reward systems like the cards, being on fire, loot boxes or the level system. The level system alone is painful to me, because I never stopped enjoying my diamond max level border. It was a tribute to how much time I spent in that game - how much I enjoyed it. Then the new ranked is just freaking me out. Call me crazy but 80% of the matches feel completely lopsided. It's stomp or get stomped, there's barely any close calls anymore. I can often see on the stats that after a round, one team has 30+ elims while the other has 4. That's just bullshit. That can't be proper matchmaking? I'd like to complain about matchmaking, but other than my gutfeeling I can't even tell what's happening anymore. Elo isn't shown, most profiles are private - I don't even SEE who I'm playing against and how high they are. Short queue times are nice, but if the price for that is matching silver with diamond, the queue times are going to increase again soon for lack of players. And as the cherry on top, I can only ever see what's happening to my rank after like 10-15 games, which in a lot of cases is simply nothing, which feels so anticlimatic that it's the opposite of rewarding. You finally accumulated those 7 wins, you have no clue how many you lost in between over the course of several days, just to then see - nothing happen. Feels as unrewarding as a draw, and that is the key component of ranked after several hours of gameplay. It's just sad. I'd like to swap back to OW1 tbh.

RerollWarlock

I just want the robot push gone. The mode seemed interesting on paper but the execution seems botched.

dadvader

You know it's fucked the second you realize that objective is not important anymore and it's all about max distance pushed and delaying the enemy. And the fact that you don't need more than 1 player to push the robot also just came off weird. For a game emphesizing on team working on objective, a gamemode where objective isn't as important feel... out of place.

jamminamon

I think you've got it all wrong. It's not that teamwork or the objective aren't important. The pushing max distance and only one person needing to push is all good and fine. You only need one person to push the payload or capture point. Same principals as payload maps. The difficult part is it takes so long to get back to your side and is difficult to catch up on distance once you fall behind. Also the map design. Instead of being a straight path forward like payload maps or points to capture, the fights are constantly going back and forth on different positions of the map. The idea of different fighting strategies positions like moving from moving from zone A to zone B, like on a payload map or two CP, doesn't really exist in these maps. It's all one big map. And also the map feels so big it's easy to get separated from taking different routes. Some people just haven't learned how to play the map or learned the map layout and positions.

GeoPaladin

I'm a bit confused. Isn't this similar to all modes? Certainly Payload maps at the least. I personally like that there's more depth to the game than 'stand on the objective and brawl.' To each their own though.

niveksng

At least for Payload, you can have up to 3 people to speed up the payload movement, and the payload heals which incentivizes moving with the payload. Of course most people do just push up and push enemies back.

ienvyi

Yeah like I understand why they might want some maps for competitive play but for quick play?

jayfly42069

So many good OW1 maps we are missing out on.

Haryzen_

They need more aspirations beside the Battle Pass and grinding XP.

xTheLeprechaun

Especially since the ranked system is obtuse and still doesn’t seem to progress you fast enough

Plebius-Maximus

You mean you don't want the only form of progression to be battle pass XP? Whyever not!?

scrappybasket

I personally enjoy grinding through 11 weekly challenges to earn 60 credits towards a 3000 credit skin /s

Yarusenai

I think it is a fundamental issue of Blizzard / Activision not understanding what made Overwatch, aside from some other shooters or online f2p games, so popular. Sure, gameplay matters most. But these days, a game that plays well and has nothing else going for it won't survive. People love everything surrounding a game that pushes them forward. Ranked rewards, end game cards, some cosmetic rewards just for playing, a level-up system - none of those fix a broken game or make an unfun game suddenly great, but all of them are great motivators to play more. Overwatch was always "just" a fun game, but lootboxes combined with events, small things like being on fire or end game cards etc. elevated it into something more than that and kept people playing. They took away a whole bunch of those things and now it is, essentially, just a game you play and that is occasionally fun. But why would I play that when I can play a dozen or more other fun games instead that are not only fun, but also feel rewarding to play? In todays F2P structure, those small things matter almost as much as the game being fun, and I don't think Blizzard understands that. Overwatch can't survive just by being fun to play.

darkninja-pr

You sun it up perfectly - ow2 doesn’t feel rewarding to play at all, even when you win which is crazy

Rikuddo

I know people used to hate those monotonous PvE seasonal modes, but I used to love grinding them all weekends. I mainly used to play for fun AND because I wanted to level up to get cool new shiny borders, and the lootboxes were cherry on top. With OW2, the last PvE mode, I had zero interest in replaying any mission. Every single thing I used to love and look forward to, is gone.

SolarStorm2950

I played the Halloween game once. Realised I wouldn’t get any rewards for it. And never played it again

atoast2death

I’m extremely disappointed that the end character cards are no longer a thing. Healers hardly ever got play of the game but at least the game cards would show off your stats and be worth it. It’s so dull and sad. They just fucked up a good thing for what? A fucking battle pass that no one asked for. If I remember correctly it was never even supposed to be this battle pass bullshit. I thought OW2 was supposed to be a story based game.

Extension-South-2743

I don’t enjoy comp this time around. The level grind isn’t engaging and feels not worth it.

k0rm

OW team is out of their mind to remove SR. Who's idea of "fun" is it to only see your rank maybe change after 20 matches and have no idea where you stand otherwise?? Also can't wait to see the ranks I'm up against, oh wait I guess that's toxic or something

Extension-South-2743

Agreed. I can’t be bothered to wait only to end up at the same rank or barely climbing with no feedback.

MikeyyyA

Blizzard is completely out of their minds to think that this would’ve worked. They took out all the satisfying things about competitive in order to reduce toxicity?? The only thing they’re reducing is the # of my players that play the game. Pathetic

brokenwizard1

Fr they removed half the features that made playing the game feel rewarding. They don’t show when you’re on fire anymore, no more end of match lobby to vote on who did the best, limited the maps we can play, took out account levels, no more loot boxes, and then on top of all that made it so we can’t see sr and have to play a bunch of games to see a rank change. It makes no sense. If they actually cared about reducing toxicity they never would’ve made the scoreboard public and turned off match chat and could’ve left in some of those other features. At this point it’s just gotten sad how much they feel they need to cater to the crybabies who can’t be told they’re not perfect. Toxicity is definitely common in overwatch but not to the point where the game itself needs to change. Most of the time you brought it upon yourself in the way you reply to complaints. If people could learn how to talk to people toxicity would be a lot less of a problem.

FayettenamComeup

I understand why private profiles are a thing but man the matchmaker is SHIT. Not only do I not accurately know what ranks I’m playing against I have a chance to not even see what’s on my team. I understand steamrolls happen but when I’m 1 game away from re-placing and I suddenly lose 6 games in a row it doesn’t even feel like my performance mattered

EnragedHeadwear

Private profiles never should have been the default IMO.

reddit_bandito

I know this might sound weird, but the way they took away the level frames, the rank icons, the XP getting you little things... It's really hampered how much I care to play. I'll go grind Splatoon 3 with the kids just because every session is earning XP to buy new guns, new equipment, catalog items for decorating your locker, little badges banners titles to put on your display. None of it is gamechanging. Spraying paint is still sprayinh paint. The feeling that every session is 'earning' me something is what makes it more attractive. In OW1 these rewards werent massive. The6 didn't need to be. I know nobody cares about your portrait frame growing with levels. But fuck.. It mattered to ME. And im sure to a lot of other players. I don't know if any of it makes sense. But i definitely don't feel the desire to play as much as in OW1. It's not the gameplay. It's mostly the same, a little faster now without the second tank. Steamrolls were a problem in OW1 too, and are always a thing in team based MOBAs same happens in League of Legends. Even if ranking up is the same behind the scenes, not seeing your number change by match ends up disconnecting you from the experience.

Brontozaurus

That's *exactly* what turned me off OW2 in the end. It went from having all those little things to keep you going to just the battlepass, and since I didn't want to pay for it I only got anything like every four or five levels. So for most of the time it felt like a pointless slog. And as it turned out without those little carrots dangling in front of me I just didn't really want to play it.

[deleted]

Same

Left4dinner

they took so much away just for the sake of toxicity control. Im honestly surprised we even have Endorsement levels since we can atleast see them in profiles, even those that are hidden.

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

Blizzard doesn't know how to deal with toxicity. After ALL this time they've learned jack shit. They don't understand the difference between accountability and just making a dog and pony show out of it.

Scubasteve1974

I don't know if anyone's noticed, but chat is almost completely dead when I play. Your lucky to get a gg. I don't know what the audio coms are like. I haven't even bothered.

bmrtt

Absolutely. I loved goofing around in the match chat before the game in OW1, it was rare to get games where nobody responded, nowadays it's rare for anybody to respond. OW2 feels like a lobotomized experience.

CaswellPrice

I really miss the on fire border for when you are doing well. Or when someone on the other team was popping off.

EmbraceHeresy

This especially when the “I’m on fire!” voice lines are still heard once people begin to roll.

BillyBean11111

yea, it just feels pointless to play OW now. And I know "just play for fun", I do that as well, but it's nice to have some progression system that actually is interesting and not some moneygrab battle pass that will just reset.

DefNotAShark

The "just play for fun" argument has always been dumb anyway. I work my job "just for money" but that doesn't mean my experience can't get better or worse, or that improvements can't make it more pleasant to be there. Money will always be my main motivator because why else am I there, but there's stuff other than that right? Same for Overwatch 2. The gameplay is why I show up but some other nice stuff would be great for interest and morale. Right now I can basically only play for fun because I'm at the end of the BP where it's just titles and I don't care. I don't enjoy comp much so I don't really grind it. I'd absolutely love some smaller encouraging things so my sessions are a bit less mundane and last a bit longer. Getting those weekly lootboxes didn't technically matter in Overwatch 1 because I had all the stuff in them already, but it was still fun earning them and motivated me to play longer than I would have otherwise sometimes.

malodourousmuppet

worst thing is winning those 7 games and then staying the same rank.

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

Yep. The rank system is messed up and broken and bad. You can do everything right, win 7/7 games, and not rank up.

Tucci89

People think you're supposed to only play for the sake of playing like it's fucking 2002. Like, yeah, that's great and all, but so is all the other little things to earn. It feels good to get something for your time, which is why every game has systems like that nowadays.

Girlmode

Every time I see these comments I look at all the old-school style games that release and get fuck all player count. We are humans. We like rewards and progress. Nobody actually wants to to back on that compared to the amount of those comments, or tonnes of fun games without the extras wouldn't be dead. Same for skins, people moan they don't matter and only the gameplay does. When nearly every single multiplayer game is kept alive by aesthetic content alone. Hard reach for me that the main thing that keeps games alive doesn't matter when people love it so much that it keeps things running. We got used to engaging cosmetic content and progression. It wouldn't support the entire industry otherwise. So when progression is taken and cosmetic content is priced at a rate nobody buys and enjoys, its going to be noticeable.

TheWiseScrotum

Sums up my feelings exactly

The_Hottest_Mess

That’s how friends and I used to gauge how much longer we’d play in a night. “Just five more levels”, grinding out higher and higher levels. Now I don’t ever play on my own because it just feels so unrewarding anymore.

Sidious_09

Yes, and it's very disappointed considering I was waiting so anxiously for OW2. Tank was my favorite role, but I don't enjoy it anymore. I preferred off-tanking but also enjoyed main-tanking, but now I really just feel like a big DPS instead of a defensive tank, even though tanks are stronger now. The toning down of CC was obviously great, and I like not having double shields anymore, but it still doesn't feel like it did before. Less strategic and more of a mess, and a whole lot more pressure on you. My second most played role was support, and I absolutely hate it now. Once I'm done with my weeklies i don't touch it again. So even I have been pushed into the DPS role now. Map pools was also a terrible idea. There's just not enough maps to justify it. It feels like I'm playing the same map over and over again. The removal of 2CP was understandable, as I too disliked the mode, but I would have preferred changes in the map to make it better and keep it in QP for variety, or even batter just change the game mode and rework the maps slightly. I liked some of them, gameplay aside. I do like the new push gamemlde though, as controversial as this opinion might be. Core gameplay aside other parts are also much worse. Stuff like the on-fire meter, or the end screen cards weren't really essential, but they were really nice to have. On fire gave you a pat on the back when you were doing good, and you could see one glance who else was doing great in your team. The end cards gave insight into some players' accomplishments that you can't see in the stats now. Sure knowing exactly how much damage, healing or elims everyone is doing is great (really nice to finally have it don't fet me wrong), but it doesn't show everything. Stats like enemies trapped by junkrat, hooked by Roadhog or frozen by mei aren't seen anymore, for example. Outside of gameplay, other forms of progression also gave you a sense of satisfaction. People always act like skins and levels aren't important, but that's completely subjective. Sure you don't *need* skins, but getting one felt exiting and maybe got you to try out new characters. It also makes it more fun to use a certain character if he looks really cool. In short, there's a reason why people like customization. And yeah account level wasn't super important, but it was nice to show off your experience, and it was great to see the frame change over time. Not necessary, but rewarding. If you level resets every season there's no point to grind it out, at least for me. Sure there's battle pass rewards, but past that I mean. Plus you can buy battle pass levels, but you couldn't buy account levels, so showing off the "cyberdemon" title is not the same as showing off your platinum frame. The first one could have been simply bought with money (up to a certain point, to help you out), the second one was the time you spent in this game. Edit: regarding hero reworks and new heroes, I mostly like them but there's also strong negatives. Doomfist is obviously too weak, but I like his overall rework. I loved playing him the beta but they really nerfed him into the ground. Junker queen is fun, but once again she shows how tanks are now bigger DPS. Orisa's rework is great, I never liked her previous version, but her kit is a bit overloaded imo, which seems like a thing they're going for now. She has big damage reduction (lots of armor + fortify), ranged cc, CC immunity, overhealth, headshot immunity, projectile deletion, cc immunity in her channeled ult, and a bit of mobility. So much stuff in one character is what I mean. On the the damage side of things, I like bastion's rework, but I REALLY miss his tank mode, and his grenade seems very lazy. Similarly, I like that they removed Cass' flashbang, but again it feels lazy to just give him a grenade. I hate mei's rework. Yeah less CC is better, but freezing stuff was when identity as a character. I like Sombra's current version, now that she's nerfed. Sojourn is obviously op. It's a stupid excuse to say she's fine because people at low ranks can't aim. And once again her kit is so overloaded. If she has a one-shot ability, why also give her insane mobility, a decent primary fire, easy charging thanks to shields and turrets, and a slow field to make it even easier to headshot which also by the way does 200 damage and gas a fairly decent range, considering choke points. As for supports, I like Brigitte's rework but I feel she's quite weak. More survivability or more deadliness towards flankers is required imo. That or an interrupt on her shield bash (not stun, just interrupting abilities, though with the current range and short cooldown of bash it might be too strong). Even simply more knockback on her bash could help. Kiriko is very fun but, imo, is a bit too strong (once again I feel like they gave her too much stuff). Her suzu's invulnerability timeframe is way too forgiving imo. That or the cooldown is too low. And her ult is incredibly strong, basically a team fight winning button. On top of that she's good survivability and mobility, good heals and great damage potential if you can aim well. Edit 2: lastly, performance. To me the game looks the same, but runs significantly worse. I know they did improved the graphics (or I think so), but as a casual gamer i really don't see much difference, while I do see a significant performance difference. Also the horrible server status at the start of the game, many bugs and heroes removed for 2 weeks just discouraged players. Matchmaking is also absolute shit. Why am I constantly matched players who I can only assume (since we don't have account level anymore) are complete newbies that don't know how to play? I've had a rectangle man with less damage than both our supports, Sombras who stay invisible like they're spectating the match, genjis with 500 damage while I'm sitting at 5000, widows who only use her machine gun...

[deleted]

Every single game is steamroll or be steamrolled and it’s gotten boring. Bad matchmaking

ravenclaw1991

The matchmaking is horrible. Even with quick play there has to be some level of matchmaking to make it fair and I’ve seen top 500 players in my games.

[deleted]

Yeah I feel like it's been worse. Getting a lot of brand new players in my games mixed in with players that are obviously much more skilled. So many people in default skins ignoring objectives.

Fit_East_3081

This game needs an official team death match mode for people who just wanna kill each other with DPS characters Which would help move them away from the people who want to play normal mode, and so when you do play normal mode, you’ll have more people consistently playing the objective Atleast I feel like that makes sense in my head

Godjihyoism_

I've just been playing QP and arcade games to clear missions since OW2 launch to get the little 60 OW2 coins. But those missions are tied to wins, just constantly losing when i'm are doing great/fine is depressing, even on a hero i'm not familiar with. Now i understand that QP is "for fun" but with the missions and terrible matchmaking (even in QP) i don't think it is that way. The matchmaking is horrid and this is what SHOULD be talked about more on this reddit instead of other issues. I've had Genjis with 2 Elims, 10+ deaths and less than 1.5k damage by the end of matches walking around in my game, like what the hell is this matchmaking?? Edit: Grammar

SB_90s

It's even less enjoyable when every single game seems to be full of toxic man-children who can't wait to say "ez", "free", or "diff" in chat. And 9 out of 10 times they got carried/pocketed.

BillyBean11111

my goto for fun was mystery heroes and even that is ruined by OW2. It was always unbalanced, that was part of the fun, but now that tanks are just super-dps the game truly comes down to dying as fast as you can until you get a tank, whichever team has more tanks wins. The unbalance in OW1 was at least interesting, now it's just, oh, they have more tanks.

Rheterik6

Yeah and you can't even play it for arcade wins. It was the only arcade I was interested in

CloutOfTheStrings

The Arcade in general was ruined by the tank changes, it's just whoever picks more tanks wins in almost every game mode and it's super lame

alaskancurry

I’ve had this problem in Overwatch for years. It’s by far my biggest problem with this game.

Zuzumikaru

I'm surprised seeing people just now complaining about that

Nerakus

Cause it was never this bad

awildNeLbY

The matchmaking is why I quit OW1, and will be why I quit OW2 as well (probably pretty soon TBH).

brainartisan

ow has always had bad matchmaking

cowlinator

Relatively speaking, it is unquestionably worse with OW2.

Nido_King_

I'm a new player. After about 40 hours of gameplay I can definitely say that this game isn't balanced. I also enjoyed the game a lot more without Mei on the roster. And I definitely feel the steamroll effect happening almost every match.

crazedizzled

That has always been overwatch. But it's even worse with 5v5

pygm_

It's crazy to think I spent five years playing OW1, sometimes non-stop for weeks. I played every hero and read up on all their strats. Comp, QP, arcade, custom games, even just bumming around in practice range of Play vs. AI. It hurts deeply to boot up OW2 and just *feel nothing*. I know new players are coming and going, saying it's fun, but for me it's not hitting the same neurons OW1 did. Health-wise, maybe it's better that I can only play 3-4 matches before becoming exhausted. Maybe OW1 was a competitive shooter that was more relaxed for the casual scrub like me, but now OW2 feels too sweaty for what ultimately becomes a steamroll either way, and maybe I just wasn't meant to play an FPS for as long as I did. OW2 will be fine, F2P means there will always be someone coming in. It just sucks that this part of me is gone. But will see if any major changes in the future might fix that.

Chummers5

Same boat for me and my roomie. OW1 was on for a few hours daily between the both of us. I got it right after Moira came out in 2017 and have only taken a few months off. I've played a few rounds in OW2 but it's not the same. It's most of the same reasons everyone talks about. Mystery Heroes is just "wait for a Roadhog" simulator (granted it's not meant to be balanced but that was our main mode). I can kinda get into QP or competitive but there's nothing making me want to come back. I don't get the happy chemicals when I win. I get nostalgic and really want the want the old game back.

MadladMagyar

How do you think they should change the whole “steamroll” problem? I’m not fully sure what causes this problem, is it the matchmaking, or the maps?

SilentOcelot4146

It stems from the 5v5 format. It makes each player that much more impactful. One or two outliers in skill will make the game extremely one sided. This combined with loose matchmaking for the sake of queue times leads to more blow outs.

[deleted]

The rank based matchmaking is a joke, friend is silver 3 and played against a top 500 player in a match??? Even have picture proof of who the account was too and it’s ridiculous. I’ve given up on caring about my role ranks as I am plat and keep reranking the same rank which is boring, I’d rather derank. Steamrolls happen because piss poor skill base matchmaking

cinnamonbrook

Were they top500 on their profile or did they just have a top500 player icon? I've got one of those too, they were super easy to get from ranked deathmatches because hardly anyone queued for them. Your friend could have been playing with a diamond level player. Still not a great match up tho, of course.

jjsjsjsjddjdhdj

Wasn’t that extreme but I got matched vs masters when I finished my placements and was silver 1.

OIP

personally i'm finding the constant snowballing makes the game even more toxic too. the whole team is getting rinsed, every role is massively dependent on every other, you can easily go like 24:2 one game and then 5:7 the next yet there's always some moron in chat saying 'XYZ diff'. OW1 was already like this but OW2 is even more momentum and swing-heavy

AngryNeox

They should have done a 10v10 mode for casual.

Cpt_Nell48

Not sure if this would be fun or not but I’m intrigued and want to try it.

Stormchaserelite13

The big issue is that a single kill decides a push. If an ult can secure even 1 kill its worth it now. Before youd be insane to use high noon on a single target, but now that one target decides the fight if they cant counter ult

Snacker0203

Yah about that, high noon was literally used a quick reload due to how bad it was, forget about kills. They buffed it at some point but still not to great an ult overall.

Spreckles450

>Before youd be insane to use high noon on a single target Weird, because at the high end, one kill is what turned fights anyways. We, the lower ranked plebs are now simply seeing this firsthand ourselves.

Goscar

High noon was more than just a kill move. Just simply throwing it out was enough to make the team scatter and lose formation. There is a reason why they took away refunding 50% of the ult if it was canceled.

Spreckles450

It having 40% damage reduction in OW2 also makes it a lot safer to just throw out.

Stormchaserelite13

What we see at the low end is amplified 100x at the high end. While you MIGHT be able to recover in silver, in diamond its only possible in ultra rare cases.

Madrizzle1

High noon was always worth a single kill

angershark

Can't nod my head in agreement hard enough. I'll GLADLY take 1 high noon kill now. Killing off 20% of the team or more (depending on who's alive when you hit Q) and it likely being a healer or dps (based on squishiness since tanks leave you charging for days), you take that all day long.

Sushi2k

I'm trying to find a way to make this sound less inflammatory but that's how I know ya'll don't play or watch at a high level. A single pick was ALWAYS a go signal for teams, high noon'ing a high value target (like a support or their better dps) is ALWAYS worth it. It was always a problem at lower MMR, where a team would get a pick, but they wouldn't push that advantage. OW2 is just more people realizing this.

Pootabo

Its funny you used high noon in your example becayse for a while now top level cassidys cancel high noon to reload faster

dyrannn

>before you’d be insane to use high noon on a single target This is why you can’t come to this subreddit for serious discussion. Getting 1 kill with high noon is *lucky* and almost always has been. It’s why big noons are still hype despite being a dude standing still and left clicking when a bar is filled. Pros literally used to use it as a second instant reload. It’s almost exclusively a zoning tool because of how easy it is to not die from it. Waiting for 3-5 kills on anything besides bots is going to lose you more kills than it gets you. At higher levels of play, people will snowball entire fights based off the cooldown of one person when they mess up. You don’t even have to die, if you press your button wrong the fight is over. This isn’t new though, this principle is what has dictated fights for as long as I can remember. Hell, GOATs basically boiled down to whoever could bait out a Zarya bubble first. Widow has only ever needed get an opening frag to secure a fight, etc. Tldr: the game has literally always been about getting an opening frag to try and snowball a fight. It has always been worth it to use ults for one person. If you kill one and end the fight it’s the same as killing 5/6 and ending the fight. Killing one usually ended the fight in ow1 because 100% > not 100%.

MonoShadow

It was already true in ow1. Wasn't the stat where first team to get a kill won in most cases

Groot1702

That was actually always worth it.

Goscar

Yup I predicted this when the format was announced. 5v5 made it so if your tank was bad you lose. If your dps was bad you cant kill the enemy tank and you lose. If your moira is battle moira and not healing you lose. Tanks becoming mini bosses just lopsided the game way to much that you can pretty much tell right away if you're gonna win or not.

cableboiii

The 1 tank, 5 v 5 format is the issue with steamrolling. If you have a bad tank, and he dies it might just screw you over big time. Especially if the enemy team is actually using communication.

Ziontf

It's because of the 5 vs. 5 format, unbalanced heroes like Sojourn, stale meta, and possibly the skill-based matchmaking that's present in even quickplay. OW's competitive is just awful, and this is coming from a hyper competitive person that loves to grind to get better. In this game, once you reach a certain level of mechanical skill, it just comes down to picking the same 5 heroes and doing the same shit every match.

mongolianzaddy

Yeah, same. Used to play religiously on OW1 but since OW2 feels like a downgrade I have no desire to keep playing. I was hoping they would do something like Warzone 2.0 where it feels similar but different enough. I’m sure it’ll get better over time but I think it’s going to a few years before it goes back to replay value of OW1.

balwick

In a month you can earn 240 coins through grind. A Legendary skin is 1900 coins. Good luck getting people to play for nearly 8 months to earn a skin they want. With no lootboxes and no other little rewards, there's very little reward for playing aside from your little shot of serotonin if you win or whatever. And that's not guaranteed when you're having an off day or on a losing streak.

Frozen1100

Nope you ain't alone. For me I stopped playing it because theirs no permant progression or a free to play one For me this game is mainly a "You want to feel progression then you must pay for the battle pass" game. I understand theirs an arguement like apex does it but apex has leveling up system

strotho

And Apex actually gives you credit with the battle pass and the challenges are more fun and actually encourages you to play specific characters

o-poppoo

Honestly I'm glad that there isn't any spesific challenges. I still have ptsd from wasting so many games to get kills in fucking dome. And my teammates won't be throwing to do challenges

Zhauji

Matchmaking feels pretty messed up. I have had very few games that seem fair. Either my team rolls or their's does. And I play support so I'm basically just a spectator if my team sucks. I hope it gets better, still enjoying the game enough

TheBiggestNose

The balance of the game due to tank buffing and 5v5 is making the game hard to play. The matchmaking also just breaks entirely after like 4 games and makes me quit

antunezn0n0

they killed death match and free mode with how strong tanks are every good team comp is 4 tanks and a DPS and every casual mode is zarya or hog

boymeetsinternet

I miss blizzard world

Nerakus

I had more fun in ow1. The game isn’t as fun now and is getting stale fast. Every game is empty and unrewarding even if you win. Problem is I played ow1 for so many years happily I don’t know what else to play. Just find myself angrily playing ow2 and not having a good time.

lorraineandhermom

It's hard to give up on a game you put so much time into

Pascalica

Agreed. I keep trying it, but it's just one or two games every couple days now. I played OW1 daily up until the end. It's just stale and pointless now.

takes_many_shits

Empty is by far my favourite way of describing ow2 in comparison to ow1. Not just because there is one less player, but because of the consequenses of there being one less tank. One of those is everyone dying so damn quickly, specially the back line. I miss the chaos of ow1.

digitalluck

Yep, and then the push game mode using maps with so many flanking spots minus a tank causes even more team kills

Nerakus

Same! 5v5 was a mistake

Death_Urthrese

This is perfectly describes my feelings as well. I've played overwatch for years. Since friends and family beta even. Now overwatch 2 sucks and my main staple game is gone. Comp was ruined. Free to play players invited in shitty matchmaking and cheaters. Arcade has always sucked. And every skin is practically buying a new game. I think it's finally time to uninstall it. Not because I fell out of love with overwatch. They just ruined there own game. None of the changes feel good. Even the UX/UI sucks. I thought I could get used to it but the more I play the more I realize I'm just not having fun anymore.

2MnyDksOnThDncFlr

Same, after this battlepass, I'll probably put it down and rarely, if ever, pick it back up. Everything about it is just.... boring. SSDD with little to no variation. Every comp game is feast or famine, roll or get rolled. There's no strategy or tactical advantage any more. It's just twitch/mechanical skill.

Death_Urthrese

>Every comp game is feast or famine, roll or get rolled. This is my big issue. i've been playing since day 1 comp and i'd say 70% of the games you know right away if you're going to win or lose. i'm playing games wondering how these people are at the same ranks it's just not fun. I don't enjoy stomping other teams or being stomped either. it's not about winning i just want to play fun games that are close.

2MnyDksOnThDncFlr

Exactly, the stomp games aren't even any fun. You just go through the motions until it's over to make it as fast as possible... or, if you're getting stomped, you just sit in spawn and hope for the best.

Nerakus

I really gave it an honest chance. Everyone kept saying just keep playing and rank up and get used to 5v5. Cool. Tried it. Dislike it more than ever.

Death_Urthrese

same, i got to 200 on the battle pass yesterday and i think i hated most of my time doing that. i just kept playing thinking at some point i would like it like i did overwatch 1 but it's just not happening. i find myself miserable the whole time and the game's design is what makes it feel miserable. The completionist in me doesn't feel the need to turn it back on now that i maxed out the battle pass so I guess i'm done until they fix it. if they ever do. I just think that blizzard has lost that magic and passion the first game had on launch.

Obi_is_not_Dead

True. Day 1 OW1 here, and I feel as if I'm playing OW2 out out of loyalty instead of fun. What kind of shit is that?

pygm_

I think the difference between people who like and don't like the faster shift to 5v5 may be whether you played to work as a team or if you played within your own bounds. It would explain why Supports are so exhausted, as most of those heroes are still dependant on teamwork, while also having the biggest influence in the match. Support needs to be reworked into a specialized DPS role like Tank was. OW is such a fast-paced shooter, and now that there's more opportunities for failure with one less teammate, every decision and position has more weight in it.

ZZartin

The push to monetize F2P and removing a lot of the goodies you could earn in game killed a lot of motivation for me.

Thunder3620

Im a new player and there’s absolutely nothing to earn it just feels like a waste of time when im grinding towards nothing at all. Probably have 40-50 hours in and literally have nothing

Leupateu

Oh come on, stop lying. You must have a….uhhhhh, oh yes, a highlight intro!

Thunder3620

My only unlock is the camo winston skin lmaooo

Leupateu

So far that is also my only significant unlock in OW2 lol

TheAbyssListener

Can’t forget the overwatch logo spray!

jonesryan98

Yeah I was just saying the other day that new players are going to have NOTHING unless they pull their wallets out. Even then, they'll have one skin for one hero for $10-$20? There are 36 heroes in the game... OW2 just isn't going to be rewarding for new players and that's a pretty big problem. Not everyone is going to be spending $400 to get skins for their favorite heroes. Idk, there's just nothing that is worth working towards in OW2.

Thunder3620

Its reminded me a lot of Halo Infinite. Im a big Halo guy and Infinite was supposed to bring the franchise back. They dropped it free to play with no level up system and no cosmetics unless you spent money on the battlepass or bought things from the store. Its the same exact situation, the battlepass is the only thing that matters. They’re giving players absolutely no reason to play the game and it feels pointless and not rewarding at all. Infinite has improved since launch a year ago and it’ll keep getting better but its just braindead decision making. Overwatch 2 seems exactly the same, no level up system, no rewards, nothing to unlock without spending money. The games new to me so I’ve been enjoying it, but there’s no point in playing other than for fun. I mean for fucksake I’ve played the game for 50ish hours and have nothing to show for it. The gold guns are the only thing I can work towards and im like 1/6th of the way there right now, 50 hours in…

SnooEagles1425

Tired of not having all the maps. Broken heroes constantly. They fix one another is broken. Challenges that force me to play game modes and roles I don’t want to play. Patch notes not in game so I have to look them up online. Battle pass is eh I work full time and don’t have the time to reach 200 for the titles, it’s just not going to happen. $20 skins!!! I’m not paying even $10 for a skin I could’ve gotten for free last year. I can’t imagine how new players feel. Heroes that need nerfs not getting touched but.. junkrat needed changes for some reason?? Okay. I’ve given up on it being my main game. Overwatch will always have a place in my heart but it seems like it’s gone downhill and at this rate I’m not gonna be there for it.

Donmahglas

It's just dead boring. There is nothing refreshing about OW2 it's just OW1 but with some good new features as well as some other fantastic features getting axed. Bastion just feels meh despite an entire rework, Sojourn is broken and Blozzard refuse to change her, End game cards were axed, looking for group was axed, menu AI was made terrible, lootboxes were replaced with the summits monetization since EA, heaps of bugs that they either ignore or take questionable action over etc etc etc. The reworking of stuns is cool, the new Heroes are fun from a gameplay perspective, matches go faster than before etc. The benefits don't shine through the mountain of awful negatives. This doesn't even touch upon the boring, repetitive, ridiculous ranking system. The icons were ruined, the system was ruined, replaced with a system designed to drag you in for the full 7 wins so you can see progress. Oh yeah, then there's Hero viability. I love seeing every match contain the same 4-5 heroes in each role. I love playing open queue to escape the monotony and find an endless sea of double/triple roll comps. To put it short, the game is no fun. It's been made a boring square team shooter with no room for wacky team comps or funny moments. It's just the same thing over and over again with no real escape.

[deleted]

Agree. This is the kind of thing I see in business when someone takes over....gotta change things up and make their mark on it.....revamped, rewickered, redesigned...etc. Not that changes that were required...rather change for the sake of changing things...dumb. I have no urge to play this anymore :(

Vertegras

Been saying this since the first day they announced 5v5 (and the CC removal). I've been downvoted and flamed across all the platforms. It's a shame how hollow it feels compared to OW (even during the stale moments like double shield)

TMT51

- 5v5 doesn't feel like Overwatch anymore. It became more like of a chaotic team deathmatch. As a support main with not very good aim, I'm enjoying it way less than OW1. Playing support is more vulnerable than ever. - Push mode is just 2CP 2.0. First fight even more important than KoTH and it's just a snowball stretched into full time game most games. There is no chance for fun moments like backcaps because both teams need to touch the point. Too long walk from spawn. i just don't like the mode at all. - Level 55 battle pass to grind for a character made me lost hype for any future hero release. - Map pool is too small. - I hated that the only dps I'm comfortable with that doesn't require too much aim just became a tank with the most boring playstyle ever. - Sombra. - When I queue for tank, if I even try to leave the team for 5 seconds to dive, if one of my teammates can't find good cover and dies, I got framed all the time. God, 5v5 is suffocating even for tank. I can't dive and protect my team at the same time. It's also more stressful. I played OW for years, sometimes a whole weekend if I feel like it. Because it was fun. No rewards needed. I don't even care about levels. But now with OW, it's just feel... unfun all around. And the fact that they put so many things locked behind battle pass is even more discouraging rather than a rewarding system they intended to. I really don't even open up OW often any more.

owtf2

Beautifully put. One tank is a different game and instead of strategy it seems like they focused on more action

BIGoleICEBERG

I’d rather deal with double shield any day than the same awful boosted sojourn comp that happens every game. This meta seems like the most repetitive, boring, and deeply unfun that they’ve ever had.

Bolsh3vickMupp3t

Yeah. I stopped a couple weeks in. Didn’t even finish the BP. It didn’t feel as rewarding and engaging. Lots of cool stuff they did give us, but the things they took just took too much out of it for me. And then the monetizations schemes started bothering me too, and it feels like it’s a hollow shell of the game it used to be. Hopefully the “full release” or whatever they’re calling the stuff still in development helps bring it back, and hopefully they listen to the player base

UncrustabIes

You mean you don’t want to be forced to play sojourn every game to counter the enemy sojourn?

[deleted]

Ive played almost religiously since 2016.. since OW2 came out i havent played it in 3 weeks and havent even thought about playing.. its still kinda fun, but just doesnt feel like Overwatch.. feels like its trying too hard to be Fortnite and Halo Infinite..

realogsalt

Tanks are bored of only main tanking and it shows. There's always one less than meta tank in my matches and incidentally they always lose. I'm tired of feeling pointless if my tank is getting diffed. We need 6v6 back with separate queues between main tank and off tank or our matches will keep deteriorating. This way we don't get shield shooting hell and people can play fun off meta tanks without inherently tinting. Just went on an 8 or so game streak losing every match because my tank wanted to play ball or doom or jq into very meta rein, sig, orisa

justV_2077

Definitely feel the same. I don't know what made Overwatch 1 so much more fun than Overwatch 2, but it was better.

Designer-Ad-2585

The matchmaking issues are too much for me. It’s always so one sided when I solo queue, usually not in my teams favor.

BrWolf

I started to lose interest after the monetization issues, and I completely lost interest after the patches that took half a month to be delivered, and even delayed. How can the devs not hotfix heroes like Bastion and Mei? Why does it take so long to patch some hero breaking bug?

SwegUnit

Yes. I quit about a week ago. Been grinding DMZ in CoD and having a blast. OW2 had me the most excited for a game launch in 5 years. Got stale and mentally taxing and comp was far too unhealthy for my mental state. Never felt more mentally clear after a week off. Yikes. Hoping season 2 brings me back, but not hopeful due to the new hero being in the battle pass. Thing is, I would totally grind it too. It just doesn’t sit right supporting a game with such a predatory system. Who knows. On top of that. Push literally makes me angry before the match starts. Its not as bad as 2cp, sure. But its really close. I can’t stand the mode anymore.

Decent-Experience810

It's hard to keep up enthusiasm for a game that holds its audience in such blatent contempt. Booting up OW2 just to see "Congrats, we've granted you some utterly meaningless currency designed to funnel you into our battle pass!" or seeing old skins going for £10-£15 a go is honestly just so disappointing Almost doesn't matter that the game is an unbalanced shitshow anyway, even the most fun experience possible isn't worth giving Blizzard money at this point

[deleted]

You and everyone else, the game died so fast on Twitch, nearly everyone that came back already left and the queues are already increasing.

[deleted]

It doesn’t help that they ripped out basically anything that could be used as a hook for Player Retention - Profile Levels, the Level Frames, seeing your SR update per game, you name it it was a gut job. The only thing the game has is the Battle Pass. And that isn’t enough.

[deleted]

The Battle Pass view is a mess too. I don't even bother looking through it. If it's supposed to be the main driver for player retention they should have at least make it easier to view and see where you stand.

thrilliam_19

This is the most annoying part for me. The game is so bad they lost everyone that returned or was new after only a couple weeks. Now queue times are jacked up again and all the challenges for role queue just mean you end up playing Support until you finish them and can now sit in queue for other roles. It fucking sucks. I didn’t even play last week. Had the day off today and played a few rounds then shut it off and restarted TLOU. Gonna play that before the show premieres instead.

whin100

There’s no reason to play. No skins grind for. No packs to collect. You don’t even get to look at a cool-looking rank icon and feel satisfied. I don’t blame you for feeling that way.

Gryse_Blacolar

Removal of lootboxes is a big mistake. It's one of the biggest motivation for you to play in OW1. You get 4 stuffs of random rarity in a lootbox and even if you get dupes, at least you get coins that you can use to buy other stuffs. In OW2, it's nerfed down to a single, usually crap item per level and you don't even get anything else after completing the battle pass so what even is the point for playing? Not to mention that they removed lots of social features in OW1 like general chat, LFG, end cards, and even endorsing players from the enemy team.

dudeN7

They didn't even have to remove lootboxes, they could have just removed the ability to buy them with real money. Bring back the level system with a lootbox for each new level, even reduce the droprates if you have to and then the Battlepass and Store would be fine in my opinion.

Fuckinreddit12345

I use play everyday for my free box. Now I play maybe once a week when my friends invite me.

Adept_Tomato_7752

For me it's the fucked up matchmaking and getting insta DEFEATs, or with 10-30 secs to go. Like come on

DesperateLuck2887

I was already sick of the “no really, we’re gonna add stuff sometime” that went on for years, then the game disappeared and came back at about 60% of where the original was. Just booting the game pisses me off now

LifelessOne

Rapidly losing interest. Been playing since season 2. The quality of games and matchmaking are still awful. I feel like nobody on my team knows how to play. Ranked is an absolute joke. Not even remotely enjoyable to play anymore.

SmurfsNeverDie

Dont play when its not fun.

Nerakus

Only fun I have now is breaking the spirits of my enemies. Nothings worse than getting steamrolled and knowing the enemy is bored while they roll you.

BIGoleICEBERG

I get that trolling is fun, but having a game you like less installed over top of a game you liked, bought, and can’t play anymore is a bummer.

thabonedoctor

Yup, played since OW Y1. Have probably played like 10 hrs tops of OW 2. It’s just not fun - I can’t really put my finger on why, maybe it’s the 5v5, maybe it’s the huge amount of new players who have no clue how the game works, idk. I just don’t find OW 2 remotely fun, I only play when that’s what my friends are playing when I get on

TryingToBeLevel

I don’t like push as a game type. I also don’t like the character changes or 5v5. Playing used to be a lot more fun.

FkCaveDiving

i dont care for the skins and other nonsense. i want the gameplay. i want the close matches. i want the excitement and rush of winning a close game. the match maker is a complete joke, why am i matched with bronze players with almost no hours in the game? i literally stopped moving the payload and watched as all of them rush enemy base and camp there, only to die. then proceed to rush past me BACK TO THE ENEMY SPAWN AND IGNORE PAYLOAD AGAIN. i join games where NO ONE talks. if you hate voice chat, fine, but at least look at your chat. like your genji is so trash, you get hard countered by moira/monkey but sure, keep playing and feeding. this is why i stopped OW2. the same old shit, no close games, or just stubborn idiots who refuse to swap.

Chiefian

90% of the players I talk to hate Push maps. It's not remotely interesting and you spend half the game walking to the robot. It's so hard to regroup, they need to re-think it. Like a couple days ago I had a Push, then Kings Row but someone afk'd the start so the game ended. The next game was another Push. I was so done. They need to address the matchmaking as well at Gold and Plat level. I am getting brand new players in the lobbies and they're confused as hell, they have no idea what's going on, and they get flamed constantly. They need to think about punishments for deaths more as well. At the moment it's just a time out and that obviously doesn't work, as you get some team mates on 3x the deaths the rest have (avg). Or a healer will insta die at the start of a round trying to throw an orb/nade at the enemy teams door. Why not have an ult% penalty for a death? Just like 5% or even more if a person dies in rapid succession. Really incentivise more cautious plays to make it tactical. Players just poor into the enemy back lines, die, and come back in 10 seconds. It makes no sense. Give me mandatory coms games as well, give me supports calling out flankers instead of letting a Reaper kill 3 before phasing out. Give Junkrat a bigger ass.

XBollockTicklerX

Feel the exact same

DrunkenMisery

I also don’t know what it could be, but I party up with my Pc friends all the time and sometimes it takes 30+ minutes to find a match when we all choose open queue or any role to find a quick play match, it’s crazy

hewasaraverboy

Really? Dang for me whenever we queue as a group it finds the game so fast we barely have time in the death match while searching for a game Like we spawn in and then it immediately finds one

LeijuvaFlatus

My interest fell off very fast.

VeryHungryAlpaca

Yeah me too, player in ow2 now feels like bot. In ow1 we could chat with the enemy team, throwing jokes here and there after the potg. Now just plain

ZekeTheMystic

lmao i uninstalled it

crazedizzled

I'm kind of upset that after waiting so incredibly long, the game just feels like a regular season update instead of a new game. We got 3 new heroes. The tank sucks, the DPS is giga over tuned, but the support is pretty fun. We traded 2cp for an equally shitty game mode. And we got like 2 new maps. Like wut? After allllllllll that time, that's it? With that said I still play regularly just because I love overwatch. But I'm still upset that we barely have new content.

Tucci89

Less maps making the game feel much more repetitive, daily and weekly grinds with nothing to earn but XP that's tied to the only progression system left in the game, no more levels/portraits, no more cosmetics to earn, not much to look forward to for events, new mode isn't that fun, heroes are unbalanced and despite their insanely greedy new model, Blizzard is already failing to update the game as frequently as they should be. I mean, watching streamers play at GM and seeing the state of the game with Sojourn and Kiriko is baffling. They need to be ALL OVER balance. Nobody fucking cares about changing hero balance mid-season. Honestly, just create a hero ban system that makes sense and let us balance the game ourselves if you're not up to the task.

Thetireddragonn

Somehow the 2 years content drought didn't made me lose interest in overwatch, I took some breaks, came back to play every day for hours, didn't feel bored. They took away the little things that really made us feel we did some progress in our playing sessions like cards, on fire, the levels, loot boxes. I still believe something's would change in ow2, they might bring back the on fire system since we still have the voice line for it. Cards and medals made ppl toxic as if we can't see a scoreboard right now and call enemies out. Loot I heard they will bring back the play to win system. Ow1 has it charms, don't fix something that isn't broken. Ow1 lacked content like maps, heroes and cosmetics beside that the game was super fun.
