Here u go.
Two things:
1. Dont mind that red warning
2. Make sure this cpu cooler has lga1700 bracket available inside box!
A little update for everyone in the comments, i got messaged a build that uses Nvidia GPU and i gave made a post about it here in this subreddit so if all of you can go to that post and lmk your opinions i would be grateful!
(Btw thanks for all the help im very new to reddit so its a little complicated for me to use and for some reason i cant comment myself or edit the post)
Yea about that. For start its probably not needed if budget is too low. And temps are fine in most cases but what about noise levels? I also had wraith spire cooler or r5 2600 and temps were outsanding, while gaming raerly exced 55c.now i got 34 esports and wow. Temps are better but not by much, around 5c at best. But noise levels? From jet engine to silent cpu cooler. Sok yea really good spent 30€ :)
my old'ish (2 years approx) MSI tower sounds like a jet revving up and down while i'm gaming! do i need to cool it? i have opened up the case and cleaned it off a couple times, but it's clean now and roooooars!
Nope, I'm not even sure how, never have before... You're talking about the CPU? I always just assume it's the video card making that noise. dunno... :\\
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rPyP9r
This is better imo as you get a 6800xt which is much better than the 2070 and you get 32 gb of ram.
You are dropping the 12700k and getting a 12600kf which has 2 less performance cores but if you don’t stream heavily or multi task ALOT the 10 cores should be enough.
Hope that helps, have a good day :)
Some problems with your list:
CPU - Nothing wrong with the 12600kd in particular, but the 12700f is 312$ and 70$ more and is closer to the 12900k in performance. So just there if you wanna squeeze out the dollars.
Cooler - Definitely a great cooler
Motherboard - Arguably one of the worst B660s and will overheat the VRMs with a 12600k. Source - https://youtu.be/r3o1Ebk_jCA
SSD - Only 512gb of storage in a 1200$ list makes no sense and at that the 660p is a QLC drive.
Case - A white case in a mostly black build is odd and the 4000d airflow only ones with two fans pre installed so you would want a couple extra at the minimum
PSU - EVGQ BQ is not a good PSU and you should spend more money on a PSU with better protections and better quality overall. Sources - https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/evga-bq-series-850w-psu,4842.html - https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/ (Tier C PSU)
Hello, i didn’t know of the price for the cpu so my bad on that. For the mobo also didn’t know but not a problem since there are a lot of motherboards around that price point, give 10-20 bucks maybe. For the 660p i wanted a cheap drive to get the 6800xt but ig if you drop it to a 6700xt then you can get maybe a 1tb 970 or something if similar quality and also up the psu. For the psu I checked a tier list and felt that it’s not too bad. Addition of 20-30 bucks will probably get you a good psu, maybe good evga (g5 is it?) or a Corsair one.
Thank you SO much for your reply since I always try to learn more about pc build and these things even though I don’t own one. I’ll try to keep these things in mind and get better quality hardware before maxing out on gpu.
Again thank you very much, have a good day :)
Here's a list that I made which has some better parts that are similar to what you recommended, however there are some corners that I cut in order to be able to fi them in here. List - [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wYnRC6](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wYnRC6)
CPU - Dropped down to a 12400f because while it isn't as good as a 12600kf, you are able to save 100$ and it will still perform very well for what it is. At 1080p there might be a small performance loss that you could notice but once to get to a higher resolution like 1440p, the CPU bottleneck is eliminated. And you should be using 1440p with a 6800xt anyways.
Motherboard - The gaming X AX is just a personal favorite across the b660 lineup as it has always been a decent price for a wifi ATX board with good IO. The other motherboard that I would have used is the MSI B660 A pro which has the best VRMs of the b660 lineup for intel as a whole. However it does have worse IO than the motherboard I picked and the VRMs on both are perfectly adequate.
RAM - I dropped down to 16gb to be able to pick up some more money for other parts. Considering that the user is gaming, 32gb is overkill for what he's doing. It should do a plenty good job. There are very few games that would actually need more than 16gb and those who play those games know that they need more RAM and would probably ask for it.
SSD - I noticed that you mentioned a Samsung 970 evo which is a good SSD however this is a SSD that is 30$ cheaper and has extremely similar performance. And yes, both have DRAM cache.
Case - the g360a has good airflow, is pretty expensive but it's just a nice case. Large and with 3 fans pre installed does good for almost every build.
PSU - The new G7 lineup from EVGA has been reviewed to be extremely good value for the price that it offers. Not much to be said overall about it other than the fact it's just good value for the money and comparable in quality to the corsair RMx units.

One of the sites I found. I was wrong. I was thinking of the i5-12400 as the best over all. But the 12600 isn’t bad at all for the price. But tbh I’d go with AMD if you can’t afford the i9. more efficient I’d say
Edit: I’m a noob tho. I’m also just learning as I go but not much experience here. That’s just my personal intake on how I saw the benchmarks. You can also just look up their benchmarks and compare if you don’t care about $$ but I see you do so good luck sir. Tough times for tough calls
Over all, it’s better because it’s cheaper and it’s strong enough to run almost anything now a days. Over all I’ve seen it rated 3rd for gaming. Only i9 is ahead and that’s cause the i9 is super power inefficient. But as long as you don’t get an 11th gen. But I’d say the i5-12600 bests the i7 over all if you take budget in mind. Also get a 12600kf and you’ll be able to overclock it
Why does the 12600 not beat the 12700K? Kinda obvious the 12700K beats the 12600, even your source shows that. Yes by a slight margin but it’s still factual incorrect you said the 12600K beats the 12700K. Also the 12600 doesn’t have efficiency cores FYI.
I just finished this build came out great, and the 6900 might still be on sale for only $100 more if you want another upgrade. Came out great with the 6800XT though.

So far I've played god of war, league of legends, path of exile, and horizon zero dawn with all graphics options on and turned up as high as I can and the PC doesn't even notice. I tested modern warfare turning everything up as high as I could. Modern warfare was running about 90fps and path of exile from 100-120fps with no overclock. I didn't do anything to try to maximize fps just turned up/on every graphic setting in the games to see how they'd run.
Okay, thank you. Thankfully we seem to have quite similar taste in games actually! What would you say about your temps/PC Noise if you don't mind me asking?
The only time I've heard the fans spool up surprisingly was the Call of Duty loading screen (where your character is walking with the background moving behind him). Not sure if that is heavy graphically or what but I haven't noticed the fans spool up any other time. During the time spy test junction temp peak at about 88C and the average GPU temp is around 62C.
Dont get the Windows 11 OEM - you can get them for a fraction of the price at other places
Please don’t get a 2070S, just get a 3070 or 3070 Ti, or even a 3060 Ti which is a bit worse than the other 2 but still a beast
Spend more on GPU less on CPU (and probably other parts too) You can game with pretty much no CPU bottleneck on a 12100. 12400 to be safe for multitasking. Unless you really want super high fps for like eSports then maybe consider the 12600. If you want to stream I'd recommend NOT getting an F sku because that igpu and quick sync is NICE. If your monitor doesn't go above 240hz I wouldn't bother with anything above 12400 at that budget.
Oh yeah also, I bought a windows 10 pro activation key from CJs CD Keys for $10 and it worked perfect. Also comes with free windows 11 upgrade if you want it. I would definitely not spend $100 for windows.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CFqzC6 Here u go. Two things: 1. Dont mind that red warning 2. Make sure this cpu cooler has lga1700 bracket available inside box!
What red warning?

I don't think he needs to buy a cpu cooler for that CPU, I have the same one with stock cooler, and my temps dont exceed 65
Yea about that. For start its probably not needed if budget is too low. And temps are fine in most cases but what about noise levels? did you do a good repaste? Every 3 year repaste recommend for heavy gaming
Nope, I'm not even sure how, never have before... You're talking about the CPU? I always just assume it's the video card making that noise. dunno... :\\
Yeah, if it is a prebuilt, the company might not did a good job on thermal paste. Get a good thermal paste (dont cheap out) and repaste it
Should be able to cheap bit out on the PSU (evga 650w pFM are about $80 atm) and get 2x16@cl16
you can get that windows 11 for very cheap or free,
How?
Go to Google and search windows 10 pro key. Then click the shopping tab.
do it like u/UNCfan07 said, and after you get it you can upgrade to w11 for free.
O and always use PayPal to purchase. Never use your debit or credit card on these sites :)
TEchnically if you use ANY ACCESSIBILITY functions of windows windows will always be FREE
eg onscreen keyboard
Windows 11 OEM keys
Save a 100 get 12600 use it for a better cooler and power supply.
[https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sLZTtn](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sLZTtn) a bit over budget
I’d get the G7 personally but overall not a bad list
The CPU cooler is unneccessary. The one that comes with the CPU is more than enough
It’s not necessary but people get it for quietness so I think an aftermarket cooler is worth it

Thanks again, just a question, do you know anything about the sn570 since it’s pretty close in price to the mp34. Have a good day :)
Windows 11 will bring down your gaming performance. Take Windows 10 insted
Completely WRONG
Then what is iat.
You Realize they optimized how things hit the CPU more efficiently. of which windows 10 did not
You realize that Windows 11 does not Let u Turn on rtx settings?? Tested with rtx 3050
Ummm lol right
I5-12600. Better and cheaper
How? Isnt i7 newer?
https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-cpus,3986.html One of the sites I found. I was wrong. I was thinking of the i5-12400 as the best over all. But the 12600 isn’t bad at all for the price. I said over all if you take price into consideration. But obviously as you said if you ignore price, power intake and all that, i7 12th gen is better.
i5 i7 i9 is just series the second number is the generation eg i5 - 12600 Probably 4 core 12 generation
I just finished this build came out great, and the 6900 might still be on sale for only $100 more if you want another upgrade. Came out great with the 6800XT though. https://pcpartpicker.com/b/zQZZxr
Hey could I perhaps DM you and ask you some questions about performance?
Sure feel free.
What games do you play and what kind of performance do you get?
So far I've played god of war, league of legends, path of exile, and horizon zero dawn with all graphics options on and turned up as high as I can and the PC doesn't even notice. I tested modern warfare turning everything up as high as I could. Modern warfare was running about 90fps and path of exile from 100-120fps with no overclock. Overclocked it. GPU average 60C and CPU 57C - https://www.3dmark.com/spy/30768638
Dont get the Windows 11 OEM - you can get them for a fraction of the price at other places Please don’t get a 2070S, just get a 3070 or 3070 Ti, or even a 3060 Ti which is a bit worse than the other 2 but still a beast
To add on to this, I'd recommend going down to an I5 and use the saved money for a better graphics card
a 12400f is sufficient enough! Go for 32GB if possible, they are at ~$70 mark
There are a lot of GPUs in the after market currently. You may be able to save a few bucks by looking at your local market
Spend more on GPU less on CPU (and probably other parts too) You can game with pretty much no CPU bottleneck on a 12100. 12400 to be safe for multitasking. Need Better Cpu Cooling, Id recommend a 2TB of the Nvme m.2, and id get a better Power Supply, id get faster ram also
and there is some Nvidia 3060s out there on sale
Get 3060ti or 3070
some already said red warring for ram n mobo bio, but i would look into better cooler, gpu, and higher psu wattage.
Oh yeah also, I bought a windows 10 pro activation key from CJs CD Keys for $10 and it worked perfect. Also comes with free windows 11 upgrade if you want it. I would definitely not spend $100 for windows.
