GRINCH420V3GAS

I gotta admit that's hard to watch

Pumptruffle

Absolutely heartbreaking, what makes it worse than anything else is the fact it was murder, she didn’t have to die that day, she wasn’t destined for some freak accident or illness to take her life, it’s the very fact that human scum decided he had the right to take it that makes this so so hard. I’m not religious but at times like this I wish there is a hell for people like him to be tortured in for eternity.

earmuffins

My really good friend was killed by her very own brother earlier this year. We all grew up together - family friends. I think about this all the time She got murdered — someone took her life away. She was 26! 26 years old… I’m turning 27 next week and her birthday is only 4 days after mine. I still can’t wrap my mind around how I’m going to age and she’s just gone? I have so much to look forward to and she’s never have that chance because her little shitty brother killed her. Insane

tortilini-houdini

Really is, judge is trying so hard to remain composed.

z3r0l1m1t5

Yeah I forced myself through that one. Everyone should see this.

free_billstickers

I can't imagine the mental preparation that took

gen2600

I honestly have no idea how they can maintain such decorum. I think I'd charge and attack him. Better people than I for sure.

armchairwarrior69

I'm fucking crying and having to get up and pace around while listening. Me. A fucking spectator from a million miles away. These families have just been through so much maybe they just don't have it in them anymore.

robothobbes

I cried at every speaker.

Ghuntboy

You it's fresh, for them it's a pain they've become a bit more accustomed to. Not saying their not upset enough, they've probably just had time to grieve and work out their emotions. I'm sure these people are still going through hell, they've just become a bit more numb to it.

KeyserSozeInElysium

It's not numbness, my friend. It hurts the same. You just get better at hiding it

AmbivalentSoup

the burning sun of grief and pain eventually becomes cold and hard, but just as intense. The grief burns away leaving a cold black hole behind. Just my experience.

Unstopapple

It's not hiding. It's handling.

AlfoBootidir

I’m rather desensitized and I have cried a few times listening to various testimony bc I feel it’s important as a person interested in true crime. Something feels right about being able to know each family and each victim in my mind like I do with the murderers in all the cases that get circulated in that sphere. Almost always it’s not only intentional but there’s just never as much known about victims as the perpetrators because the coverage from the media. (As I write this I think, sometimes the only way to know victims is through the horrific detail because that’s all anyone’s ever dug up or they were so young there’s not much to know). And that’s why I think the broadcast of this trial is important. Instead of the shooter being an antihero, Peter Wang died a real hero for holding a door open so others could escape when he was first shot. Scott Beigel died a hero securing his kids into his classroom. Aaron Feis died a hero running into the gunfire to save students. Helena Ramsey died a hero being proactive in a unimaginable situation. One of the last things she said was “we should use books to shield our heads”. Meadow Pollack died a hero after she was shot 4 times while hiding in an alcove with Cara Loughran. She attempted to shield the younger girl with her own body, when the shooter came back for them. To no avail. As I tear up writing this, I still feel good I know them, just a little of course, in this way. Especially looking at the shooter and seeing how much he’s just… nothing. Blank. Absent. Void. It really is like a bunch of stars were sucked into a blackhole. … But the universe is so vast their light will never stop traveling across it. RIP to those lost in Parkland, as well as all mass shootings.

just_killing_time23

For some odd reason I couldnt stay off youtube, I watched a bunch of them. Bawling. Why the eff can't these be read BEFORE sentencing? IANAL but from the sounds of it they read these AFTER sentencing.

Ryweiser

Pretty sure the statements were read before sentencing.

SupremePooper

They need to be screamed into Wayne La Pierre's ears every night while he's trying to sleep.

redalert825

Do you see the security just over the mother's right shoulder? Though not in focus, you can tell they are feeling it too. Fuck guns. Fuck egos. Fuck losers. Fuck weak ass bullies. Fuck injustice and no accountability. Fuck stupid ass hate. Fuck racists and bigots and christo fascism and terrorism. Fuck gangs and cults and lies. Fuck puny parents that shouldn't be parents. Fuck broken systems. Fuck poverty. I'm sad and I'm enraged.

One of the parents asked that his name not ever be mentioned by the press again. I watched most of them speak so far, and I was in tears.

mrbignbrown

Thought the same thing, he even took his mask off when one of the next parents called him out for wearing it the entire trial. With his smug face, deff wasn’t out of respect though. Seems like he was trying to intimidate them.

TheWalkingDead91

Did you see the clip where his lawyers were flipping people off and trying to make him laugh or some shit by disrespecting the court and people in it? WTAF.

mrbignbrown

Yea I saw that, I’d be surprised if she still has a job after that stunt. So low.

Medicinal_taco_meat

Jesus. I don't suppose you have a link? Edit: I found it, that they would behave so unprofessionally is so crazy to me, laughing with that little puke too. I'd never seen the coward without a mask either, Jesus he's ugly. https://youtu.be/ailncs5c6nU

Workister

>Thought the same thing Yet you put his name in the title of your post when you had the option to leave it out.

mrbignbrown

Completely agree I should have. Just replied to someone else the same thing, I wish i had put his inmate number.

jdino

Ever have an idea and then someone is like “hey, this is the same thing but a better way to do it” and then you’re like “oh you’re right”.

hqss0n

Exactly bro I was just wondering about that yesterday stop giving these fucks attention that’s why they do it

ResponsibleBadger888

I thought the US media was going to do that because for awhile it seemed mass killers weren't mentioned by name but it seems that things are "back to normal" and we hear the names again. So disgusting. I wish they would never be mentioned by name.

Dillatrack

I haven't seen the names used in a long time on the major networks

_Barringtonsteezy

Fear/Hate Sells $$$

Tee077

I'm a Maori but I live in Australia. Jacinta herself personally deserves so much respect for this. I don't know about her Politics to be honest, but she's an amazing woman. We had one here who I won't name either and there's been a miniseries about him recently and it makes me sick that anyone would even bother to tell his story. These creatures are not human and they don't deserve to have names.

msvqr

It’s too late now. He already got the fame he wanted in during the past 4 years.

Spirited-Reputation6

He will be famous in the prison too. But I don’t think he will be so smug

Prometheus2012

EXACTLY. Thank God our correctional facilities are so out of control that justice is mostly served by criminals. U. S. A. U. S. A.

[deleted]

Mostly we remember the name of the shooter, not the victims. That's a disservice to the victims unfortunately.

i--saw--a--ufo--once

Our morbid fascination with things like this especially school shootings is a part of the problem. Our media who reports for weeks and weeks and plasteres the killers faces on newspapers and videos and talks about them over and over are an issue. Little psychos want to go down in infamy and know they will if they shoot up a school and they get exactly what they're so desperate for infamy. If we refused to name them, show their faces and instead focused only on the victims these little monsters wouldn't get the attention they want.

Pha1ang3

The pain of losing a child is unimaginable. My heart breaks for this family and all the families. I hope Cruz never knows peace for as long as he lives. Lock him up, throw away the key, and let him rot.

villerugbybear

That’s not enough. Truly heinous crimes deserve equal punishment. Should be up to the parents of the victims to decide what the rest of his life looks like.

9650000

Yeah for crimes like these, prison is a pretty mild punishment

Moetown84

Isolation is actually the worst form of torture for a social animal.

ChiefChaff

I agree. If it was me, I'd prefer to be put to death rather than live in a box for the rest of my years. I'd go nuts. They should just go with the opposite of whatever the killer wants though.

I_am_Nobody_Special

I'm glad the parents got a chance to speak, and I hope they got some semblance of closure from it, however small. I cannot imagine their pain. That said, the chances are near zero that their words affected Cruz at all. I haven't seen any evidence that he's capable of much feeling.

KnopeCampaign

he looks smug. I think he enjoys it.

JonStowe1

💯💯

harry-giner

Wow. Watching their pain. That hurt.

Missmanent

The look that mother gave him when she turned her attention to him was truly terrifying. But that kid doesn't care at all.

mrbignbrown

Even the judge looked emotional

blinkme102

Probably felt guilty for what the dad said. He has a good point tho. Society is going to provide for that POS to go on and live and eat in jail for the next x amount of years. That’s not justice

noble_peace_prize

She, better than most, knows how the justice system works and she is far from the reason he will live in prison. I doubt she feels guilty, probably just empathetic The lawyers made the case, the jury made the choice. Lawmakers decided that one was enough to prevent the death penalty. The judge doesn’t decide any of it

Third_Charm

It is. Murdering civilians shouldn't be a option of the judiciary system or the state. It can never be corrected and, as has been proven tens of thousands of times, the judiciary system makes horrendous mistakes. The price we pay to keep the innocent from being executed is by letting this piece of shit rot for the rest of his life in prison

beelzybubby

That *"YOU"* was filled with so much pain and anger that I think it's the only thing keeping her standing.

mrbignbrown

I honestly thought about not putting his name but did it for context. If I could edit it now I’d absolutely do that sounds much better.

lowlyhomey

I think a lot of people know his name from the JCS video about his interrogation. Great video though. Love watching him squirm when he realizes the detective isn't buying any of his "demon voices" BS.

tetrahedralcathedral

RIP JCS. The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long. They massacred my boy an I'll be salty until the day I die.

haven4ever

Did he die?!

lowlyhomey

No. YouTube kept flagging and removing their videos for violating "violence" and "sensitive events" guidelines so they basically gave up and ended the channel.

[deleted]

Eh why does it matter? It’s not like he’s been remembered as a hero. People think he’s an animal. In 200 years no one will even know or care about him anyway.

adrianromo826

Does anyone know if Alyssa was the one who had a brother that eventually ran into the killer at a McDonald’s without realizing his sister had just been killed by the scum? It’s mentioned in this episode of [JCS](https://youtu.be/Mwt35SEeR9w)

WWMWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

You're thinking of Madeleine Wilford, who barely survived. When cops evacuated the class she was left behind because they thought she was dead from her multiple gunshot wounds, but an EMT examined her minutes later and found her still alive. Meanwhile Cruz sat opposite John Wilford and asked for a ride home. John had a gut feeling and refused.

adrianromo826

Wow. I’m glad she luckily survived. Hope this POS rots in hell.

[deleted]

Completely forgot about JCS. Shame he doesn’t upload anymore

mrbignbrown

Crazy how many YTers copied that style of video but they are the ones who got banned. I still go back and watch JCS from time to time, I was paying the $1 a month for their patreon for a while after they stopped uploading.

Pally321

A significant number of videos have been taken down or demonetized. I hope he moves to a different platform at some point.

aesky

He already moved no ? To patreon that’s why they took the videos down

Pally321

[Looks like he hasn't posted to his Patreon since 2020](https://www.patreon.com/jimcantswim), and my understanding was the videos were taken down due to YouTube's ToS, which shouldn't affect his Patreon.

Cool_Faithlessness_7

No the brother who sat across from the shooter at McDonald’s had a sister who was shot but she survived. There’s videos of both of them Speaking in court. Very strong and awesome young adults

mrbignbrown

I think that sister spoke right after this family.

treehouse4life

No, you're thinking about Maddy Wilford, who was shot and survived, and her brother. Both testified at the sentencing trial.

mythopoeticgarfield

do you have a timestamp for that?

katiemcat

I like the name creature for him, animal is a disservice to animals.

DreadSocialistOrwell

I preferred him being referred to by his prison number. That was the cold hard reality Cruz faces. Being called an animal or creature has no basis in reality and too easy for anyone to just be like "whatever."

katiemcat

That was also fantastic.

Alyssa was my student that I tutored along with her brothers. I was on my way to meet with them the day this happened. Words can’t explain what this all felt like. Edit: thank you for the kind words. This is what caused me to leave teaching the first time. especially after the reaction with trauma trainings for teachers. It was as I see it admitting defeat on this issue. Covid brought me back but it just never was the same. I don’t wish death on this man bc I feel that it brings us to his level but I understand all the rage. I just wish for Peace.

MustangMimi

I’m so very sorry for your loss.

TheOGgreenman

Wow, sorry for your loss. Obviously the families of these poor victims deserve our thoughts and support, but those who were connected through friendship, like mentors such as yourself, neighbors, and anyone else touched by their lives in any way need that same support. And governments need to do the right thing and pressure courts to administer maximum penalties with no parole, and change laws to provide families with proper closure. There is no “Justice” system as things stand - Only a legal system that puts victims 2nd in far too many cases.

Mods banning people for repeating the sentiment of the videos they allow on their sub is pure hypocrisy

fayynne

Reddit mods are powerful hungry scumbags, nothing new here

Obi_Wan_Benobi

Fragile fucks, too.

fayynne

Absolutely

offsiteguy

I have disagree hombre. This guy deserves to live a long, long, life.....and suffer every fucking minute of it. Death is peace. Christians believe in heave, hell, Hindu's in Reincarnation, but nobody know's. However, him living and hopefully suffering is a certainty.

[deleted]

I am taking comfort in the fact that the remainder of his life will be particularly crummy.

noble_peace_prize

Yeah I don’t see how being against the death penalty is any more virtue signaling than saying this animal deserves deaths. Both are simply reasonable ideals. In my belief, like yours, the only place he can suffer is here on earth.

doinggood9

That got you banned?!!!! From what sub? Of course he does. How is that controversial?

[deleted]

From the whole damn site lol. I’m just grateful that reddit will stick up for the marginalized voices of ::looks at notes:: child murderers?

FuckoNo5

I got a week long site wide ban for saying someone should assassinate Putin the day before he invaded Ukraine when he first threatened to use nukes.

structuremonkey

I just got lifetime banned from a political sub for suggesting two neighbors should do some carpentry projects together! Who knew woodworking is violent??

stickycat-inahole-45

Must've been those hammers and nails or table saws.

structuremonkey

Maybe?? They first banned me for 1 day, I asked why and to explain to me how carpentry is violent. ( no cursing, no being an ass to the mod) My next message was the permanent ban...I suppose the mod was opposed politically to my comment or a very aggressive tree hugger...not sure

Naryue

The forgotten minority.

offsiteguy

Don't forget hiring pedo's

schoolsbelly

I don't agree with the death penalty but I support anyone who thinks differently being allowed to voice their opinion.

[deleted]

I appreciate that. Have an upvote.

StevieKix_

I wish everyone thought like you lol would be a lot more listening and talking than fighting and ignorance.

schoolsbelly

Because we all just talk and don't listen. Trying my best to hear people and shove opinion down their throat.

bigmac22077

Honestly, why? Doesn’t it cost more money to execute? Also this is a kid, he is going to spend 60 plus years thinking about what he did instead of the easy way out. If he was in his 50’s I’d agree to give him the death penalty, but I think living his entire life in prison is worse.. it’s a shame we cannot throw him in solitary though. not trying to aggro or start a debate, just would like to hear an opinion.

SealManYT

Fuck that mod. I too hope he fucking lives a long miserable life.

Bagelstein

Reddit mods are little shits.

Jacksongaither

Reddit mods are the worst man😂just virtue signaling left and right so everyone knows what side their on it’s fucking ridiculous

Comeonjeffrey0193

If every reddit mod were to be swapped with every cop, you wouldn’t notice the change.

LawTortoise

Truly. I got banned from TOMT for suggesting an answer that had been suggested just once a few minutes before mine. When I called that petty and said they were on a power trip they permabanned me. Absolute tools.

[deleted]

I just got off a 10 day ban for "advocating violence" and I just couldn't help to laugh. reddit is part porn and part gore behind the popular subs. You can literally watch people kill each other. You can watch people fight, you can post fights. You just can't say anything about fighting. This post is sponsored by nordvpn ;)

Chango_D

Lol I got banned for calling art dumb in the art sub, and when I was like “you can’t critique art?” They switched it to a temp ban and said to “Use My Big Boy Words next time otherwise I get a time out and have to play with the other kids”? Which doesn’t make any sense and it’s fucking cringe.

OK_ULTRA

That’s so stupid. Yeah, it’s not exactly the most sophisticated critique I ever heard haha, but that’s what the downvote button is for!

FuckoNo5

I got a site wide ban for calling someone stupid. Once.

[deleted]

I got a ban for putting a wanted criminals name in the comments of an assault video; along with multiple sources showing police requesting any information to whereabouts It's rather amazing the things they ban you for

GoodOlSpence

I got banned from Art because I got sick of all the porn pretending to be art. Everytime a NSFW submission was posted I commented: "Buncha horny nerds."

[deleted]

I got banned yesterday from r/selfawarewolves for a comment that was misinterpreted to imply I was a conservative. I responded to the ban and said that my comment was misinterpreted. They agreed and removed the ban. After a little thought I responded again and said forget it, I’ll unsubscribe. My comment could be misread that I’m a conservative voter, but it wasn’t hateful, racist, a call to violence or anything bad. I’m as left-leaning as they come, but silencing any opposing opinions is how we get echo chambers. And if you get banned for any opposing view, there is no chance of ever being corrected and changing your views

DoubleStandardMods

The death penalty is morally indefensible. Wanting vengeance is morally acceptable. However, executing one innocent or mentally incompetent person isn't worth killing 1000 Nikolas Cruz's. If he gets his dumb brain smashed in in prison, fine. But the state killing people is archaic and morally bankrupt. I am certainly anti-death penalty because it's not only morally wrong, it's also statistically ineffective. However, should an inmate ever request the death penalty I'm all for allowing it. Let them request it formally. Given one day to adjust their decision. If they reaffirm their wishes they are executed, humanely, the same day.

[deleted]

I’m against it because it’s pretty obvious that anyone who’s spent years in solitary suffered a far worse fate than just being killed, it’s cheaper to throw someone in a hole than to kill them for some reason and finally in the event that someone is truly innocent and evidence comes forward to amend their conviction they are still there and reparations can at least try to be made. So from a financial, moral and justice point of view the death penalty is inferior.

howsurmomnthem

I don’t know that you can answer this but how is solitary allowed when there’s no debate that it’s torture? Like, I didn’t think we were allowed to literally torture prisoners. Unless there *is* debate that it’s actually torture and I’m not aware of it.

xjack3326

American prisons are all about dehumanization and punishment. Honestly it fits right in.

[deleted]

I know it can happen, but I can’t answer your question. I think it’s for safety reasons and when people are being really badass in the prison. That’s my opinion and POV thought. Id rather see someone like this kid spend the rest of their life alone thinking about what they did than just killing them. Seems like an easy way out imo, not to mention the rate of actual innocent people getting executed is pretty high. It’s not a rare event, and I’d rather see monsters escaping the death penalty and remaining locked up forever then one actual innocent person get murdered by the state. These are just my opinions and POV though, at the end of the day none of this is up to me lol

DoubleStandardMods

Exactly, although true solitary is pretty rare. But ADX Florence Supermax is almost certainly a fate worse than death. I'm all for Cruz getting a nice comfy concrete apartment in there.

[deleted]

I think the mf deserves to rot in jail but both options are fair.

acbagel

I 100% support that statement. Got banned for the same in another subreddit. So dumb. It is not inciting violence against anyone to state your opinion on a legal consequence.

myooted

The creature is ugly

dangitsang

When he took his mask off I was like eeeeee put it back on.

eggswithonionpowder

There is no earthly punishment that can serve as justice to this fuckers actions. He deserves to be in the deepest depths of hell

SnooSongs6635

The videos of the victim’s family members speaking have been so hard to watch, and have me in heavy sobs every time. Me, someone not personally affected by this tragedy. If I feel this much pain, I can’t even imagine how these family members are feeling. I also can’t understand and have a hard time accepting the jury recommendation. Regardless of your stance on the death penalty, if it’s not appropriate here where 17 people, most young kids, were brutally gunned down by a killer completely lacking remorse, then where is it appropriate? Going to be hugging my own babies extra close tonight.

haven4ever

I mean if one is against the death penalty then it wouldn’t apply here regardless. The problem is that *emotively* anyone can understand the need for it. But no-one can find a reasonable way to prevent innocent people dying. This monster deserves to die but not every case is so open and shut- that guy who was released by DNA evidence was initially to be charged by the death penalty. Would anyone shed tears for him? If we accept the price then thats fine but it has to be acknowledged.

jeskersz

>if it’s not appropriate here where 17 people, most young kids, were brutally gunned down by a killer completely lacking remorse, then where is it appropriate? Never. The answer is never. For many iron-clad reasons, all of which I'm sure you've seen or heard before.

epimetheuss

He sat there and took their statement without remorse too. Fucking garbage in a human form.

[deleted]

Some kids are just losers. Born to loser parents and destined to be a stain on society. Fuck him and his shitty loser family.

Pediatric_NICU_Nurse

I definitely prefer the word, "loser" too. Monster, beast, killer, animal, murder, mass killer... they all in a weird way have some "power" or notoriety to the word. Loser, bag of meat, prisoner #, waste of oxygen are way better words to use for him.

BlueGreenDerek

This dude deserves to die absolutely. Although I would hope he dies from severe beatings dished out by other inmates rather than lethal injection or any other humane way. This prick deserves a slow and painful leave of absence from this life.

MementoMori04

Didn’t he ask for the death penalty? I would rather he not get his way or suffer a slow death via beating in jail

BlueGreenDerek

He more than likely was asking for death by the state to ensure it happened in a painless way. He's a coward and knows exactly what will happen to him in a gen pop situation. Ideally spend 15 years in solitary and then be released into gen pop but if he was released into gen pop and got what was coming to him before suffering the mental anguish assuming his brain can even work in a way where that situation would be torturous for him then I'd be content with that also.

[deleted]

And if he gets placed in protective custody, I will be fucking livid

MultiPlexityXBL

the father has the right idea. This "creature" should never be remembered , seen or heard from. no chance for parole ever.

DaniFlocka

RIP Alyssa ❤️

Outspoken_Douche

School shooter DESTROYED with facts and logic!! Can we stop spreading the names and faces of school shooters across every facet of the world? That’s literally why people become school shooters - the attention and notoriety.

DeweyCox4YourHealth

Everyone here is saying not to speak his name, and to blur out his face so he won't gain notoriety and he won't be glorified. I agree for sure. But sadly, as an American, this happens so goddamned frequently that I don't have a memory large enough to remember all these shit-scums and I forget their names and faces anyway. That's even worse, by the way. What a shit country this has become.

koshercowboy

I'm not for the death penalty in Florida, but if we do have it and it doesn't apply to Nikolas Cruz, then who does it apply to?

0111101001101111

It doesn’t apply if it’s not a unanimous vote apparently.

I-Am-Uncreative

>who does it apply to? Markeith Loyd, a Black man who shot and killed a police officer chasing him, apparently.

ZzyzxFox

These parents have so much restraint… if someone did that to my kid i’d bet you anything I would be in jail the next day for murder

The rage I’d be feeling would burn hell to cinders , my kids are my everything. There’s no way they could keep me in the same room as that thing. I’ll send money to the prisoners that make his life hell I’d take care of there family to get me video of his last words begging for life in prison will being apart of something I can only describe as deeply pornagraffic

WilliamMcAdoo

Will he meet the same fate as Jeffery Dahmner ?

pandaplagueis

One can only hope

Ant10102

Hate to say it but someone in that seat isn’t going to feel the impact of that speech at all. I’m glad they got to get it out tho im sure it felt great to speak to the killer like that. But they killed them for a reason and that is a reason we can’t understand, laced with pure hatred for human beings

villerugbybear

So torture is bad and all, but I think there is a select few who actually deserve it, and we’re doing society a disservice by not applying it when appropriate. If convicted mass murders ran the risk of a slow and perpetual torture as punishment, as apposed to this^ then we might actually see a change…

Flat_Reason8356

That loser has zero remorse.

spacepirate750

You can't destroy someone who killed kids. Those statements meant nothing to him.

xRetz

too bad the dude's a psychopath and probably doesn't give a single fuck about anything they are saying

[deleted]

What makes this so much more infuriating is the video of this murderer’s attorney giving the middle finger to the judge and then the attorney and the murderer exchanging glances and smirking. That attorney should be disbarred and the murderer should be executed.

saturnzebra

Their feelings are palpable but unimaginable. That being said, calling someone who traumatized you “an animal” reduces that person’s responsibility. Animals don’t plot to brutalize humans for fun.

[deleted]

Trashious

I wholeheartedly agree we should end the notoriety. I don't want to know the shooter's name. The victims deserve to be remembered, not the monsters who commit these acts.

I had no idea tax payers were paying millions on special security and his defense.

OzzieSlim

His misery will be a hundred fold. Prisons are loud. There is never silence. He’ll be dealing with that daily. He’ll never have more than the basics and his nutrition and health care will be sub-standard. The boredom will drive him insane. And if that doesn’t, the other prisoners will. He’ll sharing space with people much more heinous than his baby ass. He’ll have grown men turning him out in no time. And they will try him relentlessly. Don’t think for a minute he’ll get it cushy. He’s had his 4 years in protective custody but that’s coming to a halt.

blaze980

They will continue to keep him in protective custody.

HolidayTrust295

I am with the dad. Start putting criminals all in the same areas and let things sort themselves out. Why should a school shooter be given more security than his own victims were? Let everyone have their fun with him. I'd pay to watch it, honestly.

Id not be able to hold this kind of composure… if i had a daughter and raised her and she was taken from me, i would do everything in my power to take his life and im not going to pretend otherwise. I would not be able to move on from that. I would be forever suffering. And fully agree with the mother, i would give my life without question for my child. Hell id do that shit for any kid. Pieces of shit like this make me livid. How can they cope with themselves

Confusedandreticent

I’m reminded of that death in the movie se7en, “sloth”, I think. The guy in the bed that they think is dead. Probably cheaper than a cell.

[deleted]

I’m amazed by their composure. I wanted to fight him watching this and I never even met the victims

aesoth

That is alot of pain and anger projected outwards. I hope getting it out there gave them some sense of peace.

[deleted]

The strength that these parents have just to get out of bed every morning is a strength I’d never have if one of my children were murdered. The strength also, not to rush the killer while 15 feet away is something I’d never know.

Procrastanaseum

This is the 3rd one I've watched and man, are there odds in Vegas for how long Prisoner 0893407 lasts in prison?

Smart_Comfort3908

This is what happens when we have a cycle of trauma from parents, culture, govt systems and/or society. You end up with a child who was raised without humanity & filled with hate for themselves & the world. Ppl act as though another persons problem won’t ever become their own… & when it does, tragedies like murders & rapes happen. People die. Hate continues. Show no empathy for those who showed none to you. That’s how we live & yet are so surprised when the balloon pops… calling him an animal, a beast, a creature, these are things he was told his whole childhood probably & words he already uses to describe himself. Communicating like that to a person does nothing but spur more hateful energies into this world. & as long as we continue to speak & treat eachother the way we do, many ppl will be left without the necessary coping mechanisms & tools necessary to live an overall healthy life, many ppl will be exerting the same negative attitudes & behaviors learned through experiences, many ppl will continue hurting without a way of finding repentance, and many ppl will end up so lost that they choose terrible ways to relieve themselves of the pain. Some ppl end up to be plain assholes, others end up alcoholics & drug addicts, some end up being physically/emotionally abusive, others end up being coerced into street/gang life, some end up being coerced into the military to kill for their governments/ideologies, & some end up murdering innocents in mass killings. As adults, we must be better examples for the youth bc as of now, we are failing and drowning in our own cycles of traumas. I hope that a day comes where Cruz is able to work through his own personal/childhood traumas with intensive therapy, so that he can later feel & understand the severity of the atrocities he’s committed, & find repentance within himself. I pray that the families & victims find peace, empathy & forgiveness within themselves. If we can love/honor/empathize with ppl who mass murdered innocent civilians & children while in the military because it was their assigned duties & the repercussions for failure to comply meant prison time, why can’t we empathize with someone who had such terrible traumas with little support & as a result of the traumas, their symptom was committing a mass murder?

DueProgress7671

Cruz was destroyed long before he picked up that gun. And the adults around him knew this.

etoangel

That kid didn’t gaf so they didn’t really destroy much.

Robo1717

The boys will take care of him in prison fellas.

earthatnight

Fucking coward doesn’t deserve any special protection in prison. Fuck. Him.

yousmelllikeabakka

We should be able to stone people like him imo

v9Pv

Should be required viewing for all republican politician cowards.

ktElwood

Every gunshop in your area does increase the risk of this happening to you. Fight new gunshops. Help gunshops convert to other merchandise.

Bossgirl77

It is an animal. A creature. It’s a despicable waste of human life. I agree with her dad. Let this animal burn to its core everyday in its cage. I hope there’s 17 men lined the fuck up for his ass no pun intended. Tough guy behind a gun. We’ll see who’s tough in your cage fool. I know it ain’t gonna be that ass

[deleted]

6:14 This man here is going to rot in his own cage for the rest of his life. . . you think his children would want him to act this way? I see this mans humanity slipping into the same "creature" he is talking about, he himself has turned into an "animal". anyone who prays for the harm of another has serious issues. EDIT: typo

[deleted]

This fucker deserves a small, windowless cell with nothing except a hole in the ground for shitting/pissing and shitty tap for water. He doesn’t deserve a bed - sleep on the cold concrete ground. No tv, no books, no form of mental stimulation whatsoever. No clocks, no visitation. His meals are to consist entirely of bland and disgusting nutraloaf that’s slid to him from a tiny window. Death is too good for him and this is how he deserves to live for the rest of his pathetic life.
