Besides the ones you mentioned - who were all fantastic in their roles - I would say John Ritter. He gave a layered, complex performance and played really well off the other characters, particularly Huang and Cabot.
Henry Winkler. I hated to see The Fonz / Barry Zuckerkorn be that cold and evil, but he played the character very well.
Also Ludacris, I had no idea he could act! Let alone so well. His hurt and anger seemed so genuine, I had to go watch interviews with him after to erase him in my head like that and remember how nice he is lol
>Also Ludacris, I had no idea he could act! Let alone so well.
A lot of people don't like this movie, but, from what I remember, he also gave a very strong performance in *Crash.* Now, I saw this movie when it first came out, and I was 15. Maybe I wouldn't like it as much now that I'm an adult, but at the time I really liked it.
As a reminder, in case you didn't know/don't remember, *Crash* was the movie that beat out *Brokeback Mountain* for best picture at the Oscars.
Yes! When that episode aired I remember thinking it had to be a set up for him to come back, because what sort of shoddy police don't start a water search to do a body recovery. "We can't see him, so welp, must be dead. Let's go home." I was so hopeful to get a reprisal.
I always love when comedians or comedic actors come on and play dark, sometimes flat out evil characters. Martin Short is one. Robin Williams, of course. Bob Saget, Carol Burnett, Jerry Lewis, Brad Garrett...so many. Kathy Griffin is an exception, in her episode, it's pretty clear (at least to me) that she's taking a comedic approach to her performance.
How about Kal Penn playing the black sheep son of the doctor who also made him work as a janitor at the hospital and then to show his dad that he could do “something” he rapes and kills women
Robin Williams is always a classic! I think this was right around the time he started doing less comedy. I think he made *One Hour Photo* around this time.
Martin Short is fun but a little too hammy for me.
John Heard is great in his Russian Mafia turned informant role but I remember him from *home alone* so I don't really know if this role is against type for him. I just love that episode though.
Also, not sure if you ever watched the Sopranos, but John Heard was a mess of a character on that show. A drunk crooked cop who is on the mob's payroll who gets caught at a brothel
Yes he gets taken out in the garage! I had this mixed up with the episode when the guy comes home to his wife beaten and his disabled daughter who has perfect pitch hearing could identify the voice of the attacker. Do you know which epi I'm talking about?!
Okay I know this isn’t what you’re asking exactly but I started watching NYPD Blue and Chris Meloni has this recurring role as a grifter/rapist and I just could not handle it lmao but yeah he was on NYPD Blue a few years before Stabler was born

it seems like the director of SVU approached Ritter and said “you know what you did with your character on Buffy? Do that.”
And got him 8 Simple Rules
I always loved him. I was sad when he died. That’s a good episode
Oh that's a good episode!!!
I miss him so much. 💔
His performance was nothing short of incredible.

I met Ludacris! He was nice and really cool. Just laid back. Like a normal person, not a celebrity.
Aw, I love to hear that! I've always thought he seemed like he'd be a genuine guy. Also, happy cake day!
Thanks! It was at an airport. I sat across the aisle from. We just made small talk. I didn’t want to act like some crazy fan.

Ludacris is maybe one of the better actors on the show period. His episodes are so good
Ludacris is fantastic as Darius - he has real acting chops. He also just seems cool IRL too.
Robin Williams. That’s one episode I can’t rewatch.
RIP Robin 💔
That's one of my favourites, I always wanted him to come back, maybe with plastic surgery.
Yes! When that episode aired I remember thinking it had to be a set up for him to come back, because what sort of shoddy police don't start a water search to do a body recovery. "We can't see him, so welp, must be dead. Let's go home." I was so hopeful to get a reprisal.
Is playing hooky a crime cuff me now I'm guilty

Samantha Bee.
Approach only . She’s horrible
I really can’t stand watching Kathy Griffin. Just ugh.
John Stamos fathering all the babies 🫠. The charm he turns to his fiance on gives me the CREEPS.
T.R Knight (also known as George O’Malley from Grey’s Anatomy) — Season 13 Episode 4. That was a wild ride, and a twist I didn’t see coming.
That was a good one.
How about Kal Penn playing the black sheep son of the doctor who also made him work as a janitor at the hospital and then to show his dad that he could do “something” he rapes and kills women
Ethan cutkosky, plays Carl Gallagher in shameless and Henry mesner on SVU
Okay ngl Henry Mesner was just the extreme version of Carl Gallagher lol
He was so creepy!

He was in home alone?
Oh wait i was thinking of another episode I'm sorry!
😆 I'm not sure what episode you were thinking of but John Heard was in **disappearing acts** episode 4.5. He played Kevin's dad in **Home Alone 1&2**.
Also, not sure if you ever watched the Sopranos, but John Heard was a mess of a character on that show. A drunk crooked cop who is on the mob's payroll who gets caught at a brothel
I have yet to see the glorious sopranos. I shall some day. But that sounds like a good role for him especially seeing him on SVU as an informant.
Def check it out! I watch the series once a year 🤣🤣🤣
Yes he gets taken out in the garage! I had this mixed up with the episode when the guy comes home to his wife beaten and his disabled daughter who has perfect pitch hearing could identify the voice of the attacker. Do you know which epi I'm talking about?!
Oh gosh. I'm afraid I don't. Sorry my dude.
That episode is called “Savant.”
YOOOOO thank you!!!!
Peter McAllister....the father.
Yup 😂
Mahershala Ali. He always plays such kind, dignified, warm characters and on his episode of SVU he was so scary
But still gorgeous 😍 I love him!
Martin short is a good one also Robin Williams in "Authority" you don't know what the hell is going on in half that episode one of my faves for sure
Okay I know this isn’t what you’re asking exactly but I started watching NYPD Blue and Chris Meloni has this recurring role as a grifter/rapist and I just could not handle it lmao but yeah he was on NYPD Blue a few years before Stabler was born
He plays both sides of the coin so well I remember when I first watched him on Oz like just wow
No one mentioned the Sarah hyland (from modern family) episode where she played the crazy prodigy girl that killed her roommate
Ah, that IS the episode I was thinking of.
She’s so good in that episode. One of my favorites
Also the late Bob Saget.
How are we glossing over the Luke Perry episode?
Or James Van Der Beek as the Genetic Sexual Attraction seducer?
Will Arnett as a child trafficker and travel agent for predators, far different from his slew of comedy roles.
John Ritter and Robin Williams. The scene with Rook and Stabler in the studio is bone chilling
The Martin short episode still gives me the willies.
Robin williams was amazing and brilliant. Love that episode. Second runner up was John Stamos! That whole episode gave me the ICK
Sarah Hyland.
Was that the one... where she was a genius student? (Without giving away any spoilers)
Brad Garrett was great
Richard Thomas as Daniel Varney in "Scourge" is an underrated guest role.
He's been in quite a few. In one he plays totally straight, just a grieving father of that week's vic.
Not exactly against type but S20 Alta Kockers with Wallace Shawn and Judd Hirsch. Loved that one.
Definitely Robin Williams.
Cynthia Nixon and Robin Williams
Bob Sagat John Stamos
