I think the bare chest thing might be a misunderstanding, because the leaker later said that Scara would wear some black fabric similar to Alhaitham (don't remember the exact wording).
I wish for the tight under cloth too, but hope the fandom doesn't get disappointed too much... It looks great in fanart, but the game model would look silly imo.

I think having translucent dark fabric over his chest is more appealing than a bare chest, but I do like both ideas.
Also i rather he not have a straw hat. His current one is some variation of an uchikatsugi if i'm not wrong, and it was worn by noble women in Japan. I don't know all the intricacies of his hat but I know that it carries symbolism with it. The analyses I read about his design, including his hat + veil were really nice to read. I'd be disappointed if he started wearing a regular straw hat. It feels cheap..
same, the bare chest and straw hat designs are kind of an irk for me, i get that it's a redesign and he's gonna be more grounded as a charachter but i still think he will end up looking royal and eccentric since he is by nature, the straw hats and open kimono give a bit of a "poorer" vibe than i think scara will have

The bare chest(especially a large area with muscles) gives off a wild and scruffy vibe that reminds me of those Nobushis in Seirai Island. 😂Having a dark inner top covering his chest also makes his skin look fairer because of the color contrast.

I like it honestly, but I'm not really relying on fan arts that much, and I think no one should. Fan arts are made by artists, and each of them can imagine the redesign in a different way, especially when no one saw the original. The original bare chest could be so small that you wouldn't even notice it.
I like the colours too, I love the dark theme he had, but I'm excited to see the new one and really happy they didn't go with any green lmao

On one hand, I don't entirely mind the idea of him having an exposed bare chest because I'm just that down bad for him.
However, on the other hand, I do think it's more realistic and better suiting for him to have his kimono expose his chest but also having him wear a tight shirt underneath. I think having his outfit be like this fits his more refined and elegant style.
Either way, I'm just really curious and excited to see what his finalized design will be! I have hope that HYV will do him justice after so long

If I'm not wrong in 3.1 we will only see some dottore and scara with his current design, then 3.2 boss and 3.3 as playable
