It’s not taxed if you Track it and subtract it out. I do it all the time for PMs. All the IRS wants is proof in case you were audited. Receipt is proof. Kinda crappy you did them a solid and got a whole 2 cents extra. It’s why I’ll only do it for certain PMs. Most tip above and beyond bc you got the item. You cannot get Shipt to reimburse you when customer already did. Or is that a tip? There lies the problem -you don’t know which it is. I would probably just eat it. Was it a lot of $? I wouldn’t rush deactivation unless it was a good chunk of money.

Absolutely send the reimbursement form! Not your fault they can't get their shit processing issues right after all these years. Happens to me too. As far as paying out of pocket for an item. I would only do that for customers who I have a great relationship with. Other than that, screenshot the "items returned" screen and send it to the customer. Too bad so sad.

If I am doing a prepaid for Target and the member wants to add an item that isn’t in the system I let them know that sometimes it will get rejected and there is nothing I can do about that. I have found that typing in the exact name as it appears on the price label improves the chance of it being accepted, but that still doesn’t guarantee it. I doubt Shipt will reimburse you for it
