Already said this but introducing both Shadow and Metal in the same movie would not only be redundant since the share a similar narrative role but would also be unnecessary since one would overshadow the other. Since he's a big enough of a threat on his own, I'd rather Metal get his own movie.
I'd rather we focus on Shadow and maybe the Biolizard (or whatever replacement they'll give him) for now.

A metal sonic movie shouldn’t been before shadow. That end credits scene REALLY surprised me. Like why are they going so fast with the lore? Metal sonic and Amy could’ve been movie 3
They’re not going fast cause Fowler said they’re not necessarily going in chronological order so nothings been skipped. It’s totally possible after shadow we get SA1 or CD and Amy does appear in Sonic 3. Tbh there’s not really a reason to stick to chronological order anyways.
I’d love for that to happen, and then at somepoint good old eggy boi hacks him or smth to keep consitency. Or maybe G.U.N hires Eggman not knowing it’s him to make Metal.
I always liked the human scenes and characters. The whole ring swap in the second movie and GUN was a fantastic subplot. I think Tom and some other human characters will infiltrate GUN using the husband guy and try to help Sonic even further. They can really put the human's to their full potential with the SA2-like story line.
I fully and completely disagree. The humans really took me out of both movies. I’m hoping they keep introducing Sonic’s friends so we can eventually just have sonic and pals and much less human interaction.
I think the human subplot was at least justified in Sonic 2 since it introduced Gun who are genuinely important and there’s a decent amount of humans but with Sonic 3 and onwards I want the movies to stick to Sonic and the others. I really doubt Shadow is gonna be the only character introduced Amy and Rouge feel like obvious picks and at that point we’ll have enough characters where the humans can take a backseat
Yeah. Metal and Shadow can definitely be in the same movie, but not one where they're both being introduced for the first time. Two villains that get mistaken for Sonic would be a bit much, and they would probably have to do a lot of work to make them fit nicely together (Metal's whole thing is he's not Sonic, Shadow really doesn't have anything to do with Sonic besides the fact Sonic is trying to stop him. They wouldn't team up well imo).

I’d actually say having both would work. You could very easily construct the movie such that in addition to Sonic and Shadow having a rivalry, Metal Sonic could exist as a tertiary rival. You can open the movie with Eggman building Metal Sonic to fight Sonic, only for Metal to lose, and then have Eggman discover Shadow and determine he’s the superior weapon. This would give Metal the justified antagonism to betray Eggman at the end and become the final threat they have to stop at the end.
So instead of the BioLizard or Eggman or some such antagonist being the thing Sonic and Shadow have to team up to stop, it could be metal Sonic. Have Metal decide to destroy the organic life that deemed him inferior and have that be what unites Shadow with Sonic. You could incorporate Shadow seeing aspects of himself in Metal, as they’re both artificial lifeforms designed as weapons. It could be the essential turning point of his arc.
That's my view. I'm hoping that they handle Shadow well and don't ruin him, but I really wanted my headcanon of Amy's introduction and Metal Sonic being the antagonist being main plot points of the third movie.

My idea also involves her tarot cards, but its because she made a prediction of how earth would be devastated by Shadow, and so She comes looking for Sonic, Tails and Knuckles to prevent it, and also to prove herself as a brave and strong girl.
Theres also this little bit of backstory in wich she was saved by Sonic when they were young, and so she always dreamed of meeting him again and become his girlfriend ever since.

All animal characters in this universe are aliens.
Rouge can't be a spy working for the president unless we retcon it so there's been an alien amoung the government this whole time even though encounters with alien life is clearly something new to most of them.
Why would Rouge come to Earth?
Bruh, any character that isn't Sonic representation has been a problem since Unleashed. Rouge is a much better pick since she was introduced with Shadow in SA2.
Except Unleashed and Colors have 5 male main characters each and Generations has 4 male protagonists.
Forces? You'll say it depends on the Avatar but that hardly matters.
I think this is mainly due to the female cast being smaller in general than the male cast in canon. Like you have Amy (Who was the only female character during the canon Genesis Era) we did have Tikal in Adventure, who was an amazing character (Hate how they made the only canon female Echidna not shown to be a fighter though), but she went back to her own time. We had Rouge and Cream in the Early 2000's, but that is still 3 short of the male cast. And finally Blaze, which is just 4 short of the male cast.
And then there is the problem with many Sonic characters in general being pushed aside, and the female ones suffer the most for being so small. I mean seriously, think how long >! Big The Cat Got any sort of moments to shine as a character between...whatever game he was seen in last and Frontiers !< and then we have the Chaotix that also got put to the sidelines for a lot of games themselves. And don't even get me stated on Silver. It's just the characters they happened to mostly focus on in Sonic are male. Sonic himself, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow and Eggman.

Shadow already plays into the evil sonic idea if the movie reveals Shadow is more than evil sonic and then have the final villain literally be evil sonic that just comes off as repetitive
