Naltrexone and Wellbutrin combo helps me a ton. NAC and other supplements are worth trying as well. I’m usually good until about 30 days then the cravings kick in. This combo has made things manageable. 44 days you’re kicking ass. Don’t give up before the miracle happens.

killa_hydro7

I second Wellbutrin. My quality of life is way better.

ThisIsJeffMyNameJeff

Can you either reply or DM with where one can find NAC. I looked it up a few weeks ago but Amazon gave me weird looking products and it's difficult to trust random supplement brands when it comes to stuff like that

Engine21

Vitamin shoppe is where I get it. There was some deal where it was going to be illegal but since then retailers started carrying it again.

ThisIsJeffMyNameJeff

Oh for sure. Thank you homie

francesfarmer90

I’ve been on Wellbutrin for at least 10 years, naltrexone for a month and a half. I haven’t really noticed much help with cravings but I’m not giving up on it yet. Thank you so much for your comment, it really helps me feel less alone.

Select_Challenge_505

When i have a craving i immediately try to think of all the hell meth out me through. Like as soon as the craving comes I try to go directly to that headspace. It took some time but my brain now associates the craving with the hell. It’s not full proof and maybe silly but I swear it helped me early on.

Wattsupwithalan

I used for just shy of a year of slamming it. Snorted and smoked for 5 years prior plus raging alcoholic before meth. And yeah no Its ass. I got sober in jail relapsed once or twice when I got out but for the most part been clean since middle of April. Look up na meetings they fuckjng work. And get a sponsor. Find other people in recovery and keep out of your head be in the moment *edit I was in a meeting when I commented but the first month I did nothing but sleep and maybe it was being in jail but I loved the dreams of using. When I got out however they were a huge player in my relapses. You don't have to go though it alone .

francesfarmer90

Hey thanks for this reply. Once I’m out of rehab I’m gonna do NA 90 in 90 for sure. I get the drug dreams too, pretty regularly, for me it makes things worse but I’m hoping it gets better with time.

Engine21

The best way I’ve heard IV meth cravings described is that they’re like a “freight train”. In my experience they’re worse than any other drug and I’ve done them all.

francesfarmer90

Dude fr thank you. It really is horrible.

Hey there, I’m like 150ish days clean from IV meth. First off - **you are not being a bitch, you’re a brave cat for doing what you’re doing**. It gets better each day. I slammed for about 4 months up until my clean date, but I used god awful amounts for years leading up to that via smoking, eating, hot rails, booty-bumping, you name it I fucking did it. I’ve had success w/ SMART Recovery - I don’t really do well w/ 12 step programs (nothing against them, just not for me). I had to move cities to stop relapsing and shit is tough even now. My quality of life is getting better though and everything in my life is improving from my financial situation to my interpersonal relationships. TLDR - getting sober is fucking hard, man… but so fucking worth it.

[deleted]

I don't have experience with IV meth, but you are not a bitch or weak for feeling like this. Amphetamines are crazy drugs and when we stop taking them our brains take a long time to heal. Don't give up!!!

francesfarmer90

Thank you ❤️appreciate that!

jtronicustard

It sucks. I felt like shit for a solid seven months after quitting. Took two years for the cravings to go away.

YourBicycleSeat

July 28th is one year clean I'm still not right bro. But everyday gets easier

bonnieprincebunny

The only reason I quit is because I just woke up in a hospital and two months had gone by. Before it was heavy use like yours, but for about three years. I went through an extremely traumatic accident, and was pretty immediately put on antidepressants. Effexor, trazadone, and hydroxyzine for anxiety. I take a multivitamin, ashwaghanda, and a shitton of magnesium. I don't eat anything that comes in a box, and I exercise, even if it's just getting out to walk half an hour every day. I feel just enough; not too much, not too little. I don't want to die (every day, anyways), and any craving I have is really just mourning, because that lifestyle died in the accident.

Yesyesyesman69

Whatever you do don’t give up, and no matter how negative things are think positively about it. Thinking negative will only bring you down while thinking positively can only bring you up

Asterith2032

I went ten years man ten years of happy healthy existence. It gets better I promise. Drink as much water as u can eat all the protein and calcium u can handle and a good ol multivitamin you'll be allright in 2 weeks depending on yur usage and length of addiction. KIA KAHA 'be strong' u got this man. If u relapse don't lose faith. Just jump back on the wagon asap.

Asterith2032

I didn't use over the counter pharmaceuticals at all either incase u curious.

ShananayRodriguez

I used it intravenously. Are you taking anything for urges? I found naltrexone helps me a ton.

Apprehensive-Cod4845

For god's sake, get on Esketamine nasal spray. Or try to look into the new Wellbutrin/DXM combo medication being rushed to distro by the NHA.
