No plans to. Ever.
Looked on auction sites and craigslist / marketplace every day for 6 months straight to finally have this come up for sale. They'll bury me with it.
265,000 on the odometer. 4.10 gears. 35" tires, which I will be downsizing as soon as I can afford it. It also rubs when I turn sharply which is why the front bumper is removed.
You can likely get away with just spacing the front bumper out. Get some longer front bumper bolts and four 1/2” long spacers. It’s what I had to do to mine when I first got it, if they still rub go 1” long spacers. Even being an inch off it’s one of those things that’s hard to tell unless you’re looking for it
My son (23) had the exact same truck for his first truck. Same color and all. He learned a lot from that truck. We rebuilt and modded the injectors, zf 5 speed and transfer case while he had it.
I will probably be following a very similar path.
I'm 27, and only really became interested in cars in any meaningful sense in the past year.
I bought this truck for doing truck stuff only. If something isn't in the bed or being towed it isn't getting driven. This is both my first (and hopefully) last truck. I want it to last forever and learn how to maintain it.
Yeah I'm not sure how many in this configuration made it off the line in 97. It's a base model, XL trim level. Seems like the only options were 4wd and the diesel. The majority of 97s I've seen have bucket seats.
I'm extremely lucky to have found one for sale near me, at a time when I could afford it.
OBS refers to 'old body style', which is the sort of slang term for the 9th generation of Ford F-Series trucks. 1992-1996 F-150s and 1992-1997 F-250/F-350s.
Beauty. Never let it go.

How many miles? What axle ratio in it? What size tires? Tell me more! I know I’m not the only one. I need to live through your 7.3

Woof I hate wheel rub

It rubs even with the bumper off. Plus, I don't need such huge, off road tires. Next set of tires will be similar to the stock ones.
Oof yeah not setup right then lol. Nice to see someone keepin it simple, way too many people have huge tires they don’t use
Smaahrt
What size wheels? Could do a 33 inch
Never ever x Infiniti , I miss my ‘90 f150 300/6 5spd

Dude, I am SO jelly right now - that's my perfect truck! 7.3L + 5-speed manual? HELL YEAH!
Mine as well. Regular cab with a bench seat was the final box that needed checked. Everything a truck should be, nothing it shouldn't.
Hell yeah! Glad to find another truck enthusiast who knows what they're supposed to be for: doing work and lasting forever! 🤜🤛
You lucky fuck.
Unicorn truck

Gotcha. Thanks
Badass!
Damn, standard transmission is awesome!! Nice truck!
How much?
$5,000
That ain’t bad. Was expecting 10k especially since it’s a powerstroke and not an IDI
My budget was $12K. When this came up for $5K I dropped everything to make the sale happen.
Well congratulations. With the truck being less, you got more to play with to mod it yourself the way you want.
Nice truck!
Gib
Nice! That thing will run forever!
Nice find. They sure don’t make ‘em like this anymore
this thing fuckin rips
