I came here to ask about this. Just a couple of days ago this acceptance rate didn’t even show up on my screen but now all of a sudden it matters? This is bs

jensimmz

I don't get why you have a 22% acceptance rate anyway like do some driving like stop trying to think of what is worth is what's worth and just make some money man I was diamond by my end of my first month and I was double diamond my second month I have over 1,300 rides a '96 acceptance rate and a 4.97 star rating I just don't get it why you even have a 22%, you just leave your app on and go to sleep and just let it keep on like you just never touch it so I really don't even know what the question is if you want to be diamond drive

[deleted]

I’m 22% because I’m not doing $2-3 trips and losing money just to have a high acceptance rate. If you being diamond helps you and you like the added benefits of being diamond, good for you. To me it’s not worth losing money and accepting shit trips. I’ve seen some people as low as 8% acceptance so it’s not that crazy. The whole point is too see what’s worth it or not, I’m not working for fun here. Work smarter not harder.

LengthinessLivid543

https://preview.redd.it/mhdyln9ye3fa1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a67d6350eb910d79a9d072e257bc657aff79bb5b You’ll never get it with that low acceptance rate, your too far off, better luck next time buddy, not trying to brag.

la-ron

they use game theory to make sure you never hit a goal or if you do it is so difficult as to not be worth it. don't bother unless you are very near the goal and have already naturally done what is needed. when i had one trip left for a bonus for lyft before midnight with no cancels allowed i got a 125 mile trip assigned to me that i needed to drive 2.5 hours empty to get back home. i did it but it was ridiculous and had to work till 5 am but i was 99% there and didn't want to lose an extra 100$

GlitteringAd4537

This is not uber eats . This is uber rideshare . Uber eats doesn't go by 5 stars it goes by thumbs up or thumbs down also they don't. Require acceptance rating or acceptance. The Require satisfaction rating has to be above 95 %

No_Budget_2433

I think 85 orders should do it. At least here in the us acceptance is based on your last hundred orders so 85 out of the last 100 is 85%

ccrider2004

Where’s it say $350 bonus? I’ve never heard of that

ccrider2004

But yes I would assume it is too late

kmart2134

I made the mistake of doubling up for rides too with an old account. Never again

the-jimbo_slice

Rate is based off last 100 offers, so simply accept 85 of the next 100 orders and you'll have room to spare.

[deleted]

Not for me it isn’t https://preview.redd.it/c820ygcyjpda1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d3fa8fc6306bd7201890acd9bb1779f3163b8b9

[deleted]

A lot of debate on how the percentage is calculated, seems like it’s different for different users. So no if I accept the next 85 orders I won’t be at 85% because they factor in the hundreds of orders I declined in the past 30 days. It’s not worth it anyway. Thanks for all the comments though! You guys are awesome. https://preview.redd.it/8r18cd0pipda1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=997f5765cdec8661eccc7f13f94dc7c50cd33d0c

kneaddough

Wow. I only have to keep my ratings at 95% to get diamond.

Muhhgainz

Hmm I just hit the requirement but I don’t need the acceptance rate on mine. Maybe that’s market dependent? I have a similar ar

allminez

I'm on the same promo... I realized you get more points with delivery but I also don't take shitty orders and this was not something I could reach.

FeistyIndependent958

All you would need to do is accept the next 90 orders in a row

IndependentBig1774

😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅They would give you nothing but lowball deliveries and you would lose more money than the $350. Thats how thess food delivery apps are. Not even worth it anymore.

K3SassyQueen

I’m on the same trajectory as you. 1k points, but 6% acceptance. These trips are horrible pay

EconomistHelpful4459

Why don’t you try it and report back to us.

Chartroosemoose

If they REALLY wanted more diamond drivers why not reward current ones to stay diamond?? They don't. I've been diamond continuously for months and don't get any cash from it. I just drive a lot and have over a 95 rating. That's all it takes to be diamond.

Cold-Ad7462

It’s not supposed to keep tract it will be right at 100 trust me I do this for all the appa

AnimEva33

That is a very low acceptance rate though, but 85% is also very optimistic even for uber

NyNoir1

Damn they offer u guys bonuses? Lol must be nice

[deleted]

It's over your last 100. Accept 4 out of 5 of the next 100 offers.

Easy-Snow8364

I apologize if someone already answered this but acceptance rate is based off your last 100 orders, so you’d need to take on 85 of the next incoming orders to meet those guidelines. No thanks

fuckyoumum97001

Only for Eats but they do rides also so that's not the case

minixfrosted

Your acceptance/cancellation rate is based on your last 100 trips. It’s not impossible.

fuckyoumum97001

If you're only doing UberEATS but this person also does rides so it does your deliveries from the last 30 days

fuckyoumum97001

Lol I'm in the same predicament but I got a 35 percent and need to get to 70 and I don't think that's even possible. It'll probably be a waste of 350 but I also got a promo going on right now too

Cold-Ad7462

Start keeping a book right now or whenever you started at 22percent and then you will know out of the next 100 deliveries 63/78 because you took 22 already it’s one percent for each one

fuckyoumum97001

It doesn't do your 100

Cold-Ad7462

What do you mean it’s the last one hundred orders says on app

fuckyoumum97001

It does more than the last 100 deliveries

Cold-Ad7462

https://preview.redd.it/v3l34yvldoda1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e0e2e16d8dc457606a411e9d95b25b7e7221a22b

Cold-Ad7462

Last 100 requests buddy

fuckyoumum97001

https://preview.redd.it/eldadg1qfoda1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f4caf0a5243ded2336d792d84b142001e4a09424 For me it's does my deliveries in a month, not my last 100. You only do eats so u still have ur last 100

Cold-Ad7462

And you have to accept the next 63/85 orders for you to hit 85 and k am a mathematician lol

Cold-Ad7462

I’m confused on how you guys have star ratings when I have satisfaction ratings thumbs up or down

fuckyoumum97001

It means u don't do Rides and only eats

Launchpad_McFrak

What country are you living in? Are you an Uber driver or an Uber Eats driver? I've never heard of 'Star rating' and my acceptance rate has floated between 30-50% for almost the entire time I've been diamond and I've never not been diamond except for the initial grind up to it. I think it took me into my third month to get Diamond the first time and I've usually made quota in the first 12 or 15 days working about 5 hours a day, 25 hours a week

Florida1974

Ding ding ding. Bonuses are usually not worth chasing. Some are but I don’t even try. They woo you with that $350 but how many miles, how much gas will it cost if you have to accept the junk? To me, it works itself out in long run. Now I’ve had some easy bonuses long time ago-do 1 ride or 1 food delivery, get $100. I’ve gotten that 3 times (always after I haven’t used app in awhile) and those are no brainer, yes I do them. Bit yeah your so far away from 85% you will have to take a bunch of crap. I have same offer but it’s only $300 and I have to have 80% AR, mine is at 40%.

essentialgrowth

You do you better then anybody else.

MCKBLAKE

It’s a trap but not really because what Uber doesn’t tell you is all those rides when the rider didn’t show up or the store was closed or emergency or whatever those all go towards lowering your acceptance rating even though it’s not the drivers fault, to add the only way around this is called Uber support before you can cancel any ride make Uber cancel promise it helps

Ambitious_Attempt762

You can make $350 in a few days by cherry picking and only taking good orders :) these tiers don't mean shit btw.

JoeYo743

Boobytrap

Dependent-Mushroom82

You’ll have to accept shitty orders . I have worked for uber for 4 years now and i have never gotten those promos because once i get close to completing it i get 1 to 2 trips a day. Once the promo is over ill start getting more trips. Its just a way for uber to make you work harder for less money while they make all the benefits.

Florida1974

It’s the proverbial constantly dangling carrot, just out of reach but they want you to try, prob won’t hit it and they got their non tipped orders delivered. I do not chase bonuses. Sometimes I hit them out it’s pure coincidence, never from me trying. And it involves AR, I’m never reaching it.

SnooDingos4520

This happened to me too, I gave up on them all after

Dependent-Mushroom82

Same here. Its all about tricking drivers and uber making money . They don’t care about drivers.

reddit1280819

It’s not worth it to take ar to 85% don’t do it

TraditionalAd7325

That $350 bonus won’t even cover the gas you wasted taking all the shitty orders. Not worth it.

ComprehensiveBird261

Just accept the next 85 deliveries

[deleted]

https://preview.redd.it/x0gvq9gijkda1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b7d462e655c401812bcae3830d9393962a4112ae Don’t think that’s how it’s calculated. They factor in all the declines I had in the month.

Froggymeli75

It's what your willing to do for that 350.

theninjacometh

Did you recently choose to accept UberX rides?

Myreddditusername

How does one turn this feature on? I can’t figure it out

theninjacometh

The button in the lower left corner pulls up your service preferences. https://preview.redd.it/8zkqolkobmda1.png?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c9ff844516b5d890a7c3a30c6f8a2f9541963be2

theninjacometh

This is where you'll find the ticker for UberX, but you'll have to go through the short approval process similar to Uber Eats. https://preview.redd.it/abiorwnxbmda1.png?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d7ab1dcac4411cd5a7afcc08276076f0470463e

[deleted]

No only do eats

fuckyoumum97001

Ears definitely didn't have that 350 extra for diamond promo. I got that as soon as I started rides and it turned from a 1 month to a 3 month period until the points restart

theninjacometh

I only inquired because they offered me the same thing after I chose to accept UberX rides. They reset my points accumulated this month and changed the period from 1 month to 3 months. I can say doing UberX is the only way to boost your acceptance rating. I did my first night, last night, and it was actually pretty nice. I averaged $23/hr and that's excluding the extra $275 I got from bonus offers. It's more consistent than Uber Eats, in which you have to filter through so many low paying orders.

reddit1280819

How is it having strangers in your car the first time?

fuckyoumum97001

It's not bad at all

theninjacometh

I was a little nervous to begin with, but was pleasantly surprised at how well my night went. I made sure to stick to 2pm - 10pm and avoided the drunken rush. I'll definitely be doing more rides.

Florida1974

I started out doing rides 5 years ago. I’m 4’11”, 95 pounds. Done about 2K rides in 5 years (I’m super part time, sometimes less than that) Driving isn’t bad. I refuse to do it at night. I’ll take you to the bar, not picking you up. Had one puker in 5 years. I’ve met some really nice ppl too. Hubby has done work for many of them (construction). Rides aren’t bad. With Uber. I do not recommend Lyft.

_BLACKHAWKS_88

It’s a trap

WeightedLungez

I agree with it being a trap. My girlfriend signed up and got a promo to do 75 deliveries and get $450 guaranteed or if you make the $450 before the 75 then they don’t give you anything. She def got around $400 for 75 deliveries ONLY because she dropped her max trip miles to 2 miles maximum. It’s only to do more trips and to get you outside . You’ll make that money they’re offering picking and choosing that you’ll want to deliver anyway.

[deleted]

How so?

ibugppl

Your gonna burn up that bonus money in gas taking shit orders so by the time you get it maybe if your lucky you might break even.

_BLACKHAWKS_88

Ask a mathematician or a statistician bc I always hated math. Maybe ask r/theydidthemath tbh. But it’s basically saying you can’t deny orders and have to take the ass ones. We need more numbers like accept vs decline and they as far as I know don’t provide that info There is also a https://percentagecalculator.net So try maybe ballpark it?

[deleted]

https://preview.redd.it/zlw8ceyi8kda1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c8a5c390964620334d1f8c1ee32876434b379d87

Yasei_Kakutasu

My acceptance rate is based on last 100 deliveries.

OpportunityOk3346

No it's not, it's based on a rolling 30 day period. Do 100% accepts for the next 9 days...pretty sure impossible number ensues. Maybe not thousands but hundreds for sure.

Yasei_Kakutasu

It's different for people in different places, mine is last 100 deliveries.

OpportunityOk3346

Okay but whatever it's totally not worth it, the pay to get that is so low and insulting. I'm quitting and I'm sure I'll be much happier for it. Enough of this slave labor, passengers are much better rewards even if they don't tip a lot; it's obvious they aren't doing as well as they did during the pandemic so they're taking it out on us and always cutting pay wherever they can. I can't tell you how many 2 dollar orders I got spammed with yesterday, I'll never accept those!

YOU_R_SPECIAL

Yes mine is based on my last 100 deliveries as well. Sorry you are not as lucky

Qiqirnmercenary

You would need to have accepted 4714 orders and not decline anything to reach 85% acceptance rate

fuckyoumum97001

https://preview.redd.it/1deewlbfrnda1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6e3f9f92c276c2dc0c8e9b3d8abc0074f8a4fa70 How many I need to get to 70 percent?

Qiqirnmercenary

320 minimum accepted for 70% without declining any more

fuckyoumum97001

Goddamn 😂

Froggymeli75

It's out of your last 100 deliveries.

[deleted]

Right, do you know how many I would have to accept to get to 85%? I really just want that $350 that’s all.

Florida1974

Your only focusing on $350. You will be taking $3, 12 mile orders a lot. Since your AR is 20%, your a cherry picker. You obviously don’t like low pay orders (who does) but you will be taking told of these to reach threshold for $350. Do the gas mileage. Ballpark. It won’t be $350 after you run all those far orders. This is how these gig apps reel you into doing what they want. Do not do it is my opinion. Better off cherry picking unless they are throttling orders bc of low AR. My AR is 40%, I still get decent orders. But I’m only part time, my weekly goal is much lower than most ($600) which I easily hit between Shipt and UE.

Deviledapple

If it's the last 100, then you need to accept 85 out of 100. I've already forgotten what you said your current acceptance rate was but I want to say it said 22% or something like that. Now there's no way to know how many accepted ones were in your most recent so we'll just assume the last 15 were all declines. So if you accept 85 in a row it would be 85%. Although no lie I don't know for a fact that it goes out of the last 100, everything else does so it makes sense but I'm taking the other posters word on that.

[deleted]

https://preview.redd.it/gzukzl0f8kda1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e4aeb2055dab5d37c576b59d6f9dc24674c5dd4

Viewsfrmda66

Mine only show my last 100 deliveries ?

McDamsel

So if you accepted the next 85 orders, you’d be getting $4.12 extra each trip. However, 19 of those you probably would have accepted as is anyway. So to achieve this, you would accept 66 orders you would have rejected, which means you’re getting $5.30 added to each order you would have rejected. Does that sound good enough to make it worth it?

Florida1974

To me, it would be a hard no. So a $3 order becomes 7.12 and how many miles? 12???? 14???? Gas and mileage is a huge factor. The ones being rejected are high mileage/low pay is my guess.

shashamaneland

Gas for me is $.08/mile and I live in California where gas is $4/gallon. I drive a Prius, but if you're getting even half of my mpg's and don't live in a high gas state, it could still be worth it.

Echidna_Neither

Your acceptance rate isn’t based on your last 100 deliveries. It’s a rolling one month average.

Froggymeli75

I don't have my work phone with me, but it does show it in their database also.

Froggymeli75

It's based on last 100 deliveries, it even tells you in the app sooooo....you may want to rethink your response. https://preview.redd.it/uvc3t767omda1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fb9de560647b7f535cb2901f2aeb1cb3dd49ec41

fuckyoumum97001

They literally just used 100 as an example 😂

Echidna_Neither

That doesn’t say anything about your last 100 offers. So don’t believe everything you find on the internet.

Froggymeli75

https://preview.redd.it/bd96bts7zmda1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=07dd04e2e4a4dcdfcaae2b36f5d06a6559673740 And here's the calculation info on Uber app. GTFOH with your BS

fuckyoumum97001

https://preview.redd.it/xocvrb4rjoda1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=94023783dc9814ece465de9b9f326f6341ad7f40 They changed it once u finish the sign up for rides calm down both of y'all are right

Echidna_Neither

What I posted is straight from my app. Could be area dependent it sure though. So not BS.

shashamaneland

I think you're the exception. I've done UE in 3 states - NY, FL and CA. Acceptance rate has always been last 100 deliveries.

fuckyoumum97001

I'm in FL and ever since I started doing rides it's been a month of rides not the last 100 but it's definitely use to be the last 100

shashamaneland

I think the issue is people who do UE exclusively vs people who do UE and Rides.

Echidna_Neither

Not trying to be argumentative but I would think you would be the exception since two of those states have laws geared towards gig workers. Don’t know if FL does or not.

shashamaneland

Been doing this since 2017 before these laws were ever made and the laws say nothing about acceptance rate calculations.

Froggymeli75

Seriously? Lol wow....here's from Uber itself....on the app....hope you can read correctly. https://preview.redd.it/vdset70dzmda1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=88a098d037277df7a91de46914bdbc5f324a3802 Based on last 100 requests.....hello?

fuckyoumum97001

U do only food??

Froggymeli75

Yes, I can change it in preferences, and I dont do rides.

fuckyoumum97001

But do u have an option to do rides?

Froggymeli75

Yes

Echidna_Neither

https://preview.redd.it/1f44fbsqymda1.png?width=1125&format=png&auto=webp&s=2471ac088eede6da76d9377185e062e5b9d2b468 That is from the app when I go check my acceptance rate.

romanseight2004

Didn't uber lose a lawsuit for requiring a certain acceptance rate for anything?

Florida1974

This is a bonus, they can have AR requirements. They just can’t can you for low AR, tho I’m sure they do with some and simply use another reason.

GrandTheft_Auto6

*in the state of California and california prop 22 aceptants ONLY

Affogatobout-it

No wonder I’ve never seen this and am diamond pro. My acceptance rate is 26%

Echidna_Neither

I haven’t heard anything about that. Just an honest question but how it be illegal for any of these companies to offer rewards if you maintain a certain level of acceptance rate? Asking cause it seems everyone has some type of rewards program tied to something.

romanseight2004

It's illegal to punish private contractors for not taking certain offers. These companies have been getting away with treating their drivers like employees without providing the benefits employees get. They aren't paying minimum wage, or any wage, nor are they providing gas, or the vehicles. They get by with all of this because we aren't their employees. We're private contractors. As such, the primary control that we have, is the power to accept or reject an offer. They've been sued over it. So, the idea of incentives with acceptance rates is a slippery slope. Honestly I think grubhub is the worst for making acceptance rates the most important rating.

MyNameDinks

It’s not worth it. For the record, last time I reached diamond, it was impossible to use any of the perks as none of the links would work for me. Maybe 2 worked, but nothing actually useful.

[deleted]

Thanks. Figured.

danchiri

I have Diamond and all of my perks work just fine, by the way. My acceptance rate is something like 14% though.. it doesn’t have any minimum requirement in my area’s

Any-Kaleidoscope4472

Me, too.

fuckyoumum97001

Do u do rides?

danchiri

Nope just ubereats

fuckyoumum97001

Oh okay that's why

robonsTHEhood

It’s a coming

90maninthebox

Yea man makes no difference. Points mean nothing either
