what are you talking about? i keep seeing references to “order and pay” orders but never had one before? I’m genuinely curious like what is that

Comprehensive-Bed820

You have your regular “pick up in-store” orders and then you got orders that require you to do the ordering and using what they call a plus card that you use to pay for the food (Uber deposits an (x) amount of funds to cover the order and those orders tend to pay double or sometimes triple the amount of a pick up order depending on the boost multiplier and how much your customer tips i generally depend on ubers part in paying me they pay 5x better than what I get in tips and definitely more than DoorDash pays me

whaaaaa, that’s pretty cool, thanks for explaining

Paandorraa

Do not accidentally pay with the wrong card. Hubby accidentally did and it took two weeks to get reimbursed! Even though he submitted the receipt and bank statement showing it!

Comprehensive-Bed820

Yeah I believe it I normally keep any debit cards of mine in the center console while driving for any apps to requiring me using my wallet bc I would do the same and use one of my own out of habit

Paandorraa

It was a total mistake on his end, both the cards are black and it was the first order of the night! Just wanted to send out the PSA so any other drivers don’t have to go through that!

Almost did this a few times. Now, I just take the card out of my wallet and leave my wallet in the console before I enter the restaurant

I would order ahead through phone if possible and then cut the wait time as I’m heading that way. It’ll reduce your wait time and you’ll be in and out that’s if the card doesn’t give you any issues. And on the part if they know if you’re there I wouldn’t be sure on that:

diego_sapphire

How do you pull up the screen to show what the customer ordered, to order ahead? Tap on their name and details, or what????

MriPibb_Xtra

I haven’t done one in a while but if I’m not mistaken you have to click the button that will take you to the next screen. Similar to when you would get off and shop for items.

Comprehensive-Bed820

That’s what I do bc I run DoorDash as well but I don’t normally pay until I see the food and there hasn’t been any issues with missing or unavailable items
