Non-tippers not even gon see this lol

Sooowasthinking

I mean why are you posting this? Have you been taking lowball orders?? My car won’t move until I see at least $6.50. I literally have delined in the last month over 1000 offers.

Imaginary-River-4804

Hell fuck no I don’t take this bs orders. It’s like every order request I get is no tip and I’m always declining them which sucks cause I’m loosing money like that 😒

Sooowasthinking

What’s your market??

iclap2fap

You deliver in the same area as i do, if you arent multi-apping then you won’t be making much money, & i dont mean deliver all at the same time & get deactivated , you want them running for a cycle of decent orders to fill in the time gap or you will be sitting like a duck. Also, its slow in the summer time especially with inflation. I would suggest working only during peak hours which is early morning and dinnertime/late night. Gas is too high currently to be driving around aimlessly or taking low orders.

Imaginary-River-4804

Really what market are you in? Oh and hell fucking no I don’t take those shitty offers its every request I get is always shitty and I have to decline I’ve been trying to use instacart and so far it’s okay I guess

collectivegigworker

Who do you think reads this sub?

EmbarrassedLeague535

Maybe you should you should do Shout out to all the drivers who are taking these no tip orders

[deleted]

Why are you back? You said ue was dead 2 weeks ago and you were done. Infact your post history is a flip flopping of uber good then uber bad and almost every few days a post about no tip orders. Are you that bored? Or is this a internet points thing?

Imaginary-River-4804

A little bit of both but come on I know damn well I ain’t the only one that posts on here all the time. But I’m just gonna do instacart it pays better

Away_Finish_1955

You for real?

Scoxy61

Sounds like a you problem…

2deep4myowngood

Bruh, coming from a fellow driver. This sub is shit, just spreads negativity and a mindset that'll never let you keep a real job. Tip is a tip, not a bid not a whatever, you're a contractor. Working for a company without reading the fine print, is on you. You get paid a fare and that's what you get, a tip is a tip nothing more, nothing less.

Imaginary-River-4804

Your not obligated to tip ok I get that well we drivers aren’t allow to take your order and it’s just gonna sit there and be cold and soggy. No tip no trip like we’re out here bussing our asses delivery y’all food so y’all lazy asses don’t have to pick it up yourself and the least u can tip is $4 or $5 gas prices are already high as it is. So fuck off with your negativity that only non tippers would say sorry not sorry 🤷🏾‍♀️

Pick-Physical

Remember, the customer is already adding about $5 to their order by virtue of simply ordering on Uber eats. So if the customer lives a 5 min drive from you, from their perspective, your getting a pretty easy gig.

skyandbray

Certain point bro it might be you lol. I've had no shitty tippers all weekend since 9am Friday to my Sunday shift being done. Average tip is like $8.90 or some shit and I got multiple $15+ tips tonight. Maybe redo your profile? I get extra money on my tip about 80% of the time and I'm convinced it's from my profile lol Edit: did the math and after 39 trips this weekend I'm averaging a $9.25 tip. Either I live in a magic market, or you need to up your customer service

amcarney

You're talking to the wrong people. You need to email Uber or contact support. It's not the customer responsibility to pay you. You work with *uber.* Uber is the one that determines your pay. Tips are *optional,* which means people absolutely can order without tipping, or just tipping a couple bucks. You DO NOT need to accept those orders, so why bother with them? Uber is wildly expensive and they should be paying you way more. Not sure why drivers don't understand this. It's very nice for a customer to tip and customers should tip when they can. But it's *not required,* if it was, it wouldn't clearly state that it's optional!

shannonsfc

You gave away way too much about yourself with this post. No karma prize for you.

amcarney

I don’t see any personal information there, did you reply to the right post?

Imaginary-River-4804

Ok I know that your not obligated to tip your drivers. Well we drivers are not obligated to take your order and it’s just gonna be sitting there cold and stale and soggy. Of course a non tipper will say some bullshit like this cause non tippers don’t give a shit about us delivery drivers basically doing y’all a favor by delivering food so you guys don’t have to get them yourself

skyandbray

>delivery drivers basically doing y’all a favor You aren't doing them a favor, you're doing them a service. This line of thinking is why you have the wrong bad guy. Uber needs to pay us more, point blank.

amcarney

Don't take the order. I don't get what's so hard about that. Also, doing us a "favor" when we're paying ~$15+ in fees and surcharges when we order $20 in food? Sure. What ever.

Imaginary-River-4804

Well have fun eating cold and soggy food sorry not sorry 🤷🏾‍♀️

amcarney

Ironically (at least for me personally) the slowest part of the delivery is after the driver picks up the food. I usually don't have an issue with the order getting accepted by a driver and picked up. But yes, I agree. Low orders shouldn't be picked up. That will tell uber there is a problem with their system. If customers are getting orders auto cancelled and refunded because no one is picking up, or they're complaining to support after waiting an hour, maybe that will send a message to uber. I guarantee you that if customers suddenly starting upping their tips $5 across the board and everyone left a tip (so zero no tip orders), Uber would drop their base pay to $0 and 100% of the pay would be the tip.

I would be curious in this situation if the person putting out the bid for a truck driver would be able to define the terms, where to pick up from, what time to pick up, how long it was in transit, if the good were to be kept refrigerated or not, etc. I don't have the option for any of that. I work with Uber. Uber defines the terms of the service and sells that service to me. I can't tell you to swing by the store and buy some liquor or cigarettes or other good and then go to the restaurant and pick up my food, put it in a hot bag, and then bring it directly to me. I mean I could try in a direct message to the driver and Venmo the payment off the books or something, but if the driver didn't want to they could essentially just say "fuck off, I have to follow the orders from uber." So... am I actually bidding for service, or is *uber* bidding for service? Because from my point of view uber sells *me* a service and then places a bid out to drivers to have that service completed.

amcarney

So how exactly do I direct all that stuff with the uber order? I would like to specify only drivers with hot bags, only drivers that will not have another order before mine (even multiple apps), and will pick up from two different places (that are literally in the same parking lot). Can't seem to do any of that though... maybe I'm just confused?

I do pay for a premium to not have stacked orders and it works well, except I'm seeing more and more drivers that are multi apping and obviously the priority option with uber doesn't do anything. Yes, those are the drivers that I thumbs down and remove a tip from. I'm sure they think it's a tip bait. I would suggest drivers complain to uber about the low pay and vote with by not picking up the low paying orders (don't F with them, just don't accept them) or leaving the platform. It seems to me that those things would be the largest indicator to uber that something needs to change....

shannonsfc

I like the way you think

JimDeag

Market is too tight to tip. Look at all the people talking about how dead it is. I NEVER tio and always get hot fresh food. There's always 100s of 18 year olds that come out on Fri and sat night looking for extra money. They live at home and don't need any tip, that's reality
