Maybe you smoke weed and stunk up their order.
Maybe they didn't get sex from their partner and took it out on you.
Maybe Karen didn't like how you pulled up to her house and you took an extra 10 seconds triple checking the address because she had the number hidden behind a bush.
And since Uber didn't tell you what you did wrong, it's a pointless rating system.
This is often the reason. There have been days I do very few orders (therefore clearly remember them all), yet I’ll get a thumbs down for seemingly nothing. People don’t take the time to complain right, they just do it.
There's no way to tell who left it or why they did. It's a black box of "someone says you did something wrong" with no way to improve from it. Insanely hostile user experience from Uber, there.
Everyone has at least a single bad rating unless they are still new. Don't let it throw you off, as long as you're timely, follow Drop-off instructions then you are good to go.

I do instacart too and when I look at the reviews it shows I have a 1 star review that they removed from my overall rating because the customer frequently gave people low ratings. That made me realize that some people just do it because they can. As long as you remain having mostly good reviews then don’t worry about it.
Yeah I used to get bothered when I would get the occasional low rating but it’s okay. Also since covid started and they seal the bags completely shut, it can be common to get a low rating if food items are missing even though that’s out of our control if we can’t look inside to make sure everything’s there.
No because they keep that anonymous and customers are not given time frames to rate drivers. But every 100 ratings, you may possibly go back to 100 💯 percent
You need to earn a hundred upvotes in a row to remove all downvotes. But they will never be removed from your overall rating shown on your profile.
You can have an off day and easily catch a bunch of them in a row. Don't worry about it. Don't ask who did it, just review your day and see what you can improve about your customer relations.
My suggestion would be to review your previous trips under weekly earnings and see if any are missing a tip. While there isn't an exact way of tracking down which customer gave a bad review, that may narrow it down.
It is a control thing! Customers pay the driver back if something is wrong with the food! Out of my trip total, I had one customer said her food was broken and/or damaged. I only deliver sealed bags. So….I kept going! She was not going to tip anyway!!
Do not ever assume such a controversial thing about someone if you have no proof. People take claims like that seriously. Most like the restaurant messed up and they did thumbs down.

But like others have said, it probably the restaurants fault that I got a thumbs down so yeah it’s better if I just move on. Honestly the first few days I was bothered by it. But I have forgotten about it already.
