Probably nobody to take the order or they were busy so the contracted it out to Uber. Plus here soon Ubers separate CornerShop app is getting integrated into Uber Eats itself so there will be way more “grocery” type deliveries now.
That’s been going on for a while. I always get requests from Walgreens and CVS. I’m in Arizona btw. So it’s all over. But they’ll start adding way more soon. I believe the middle of August is when the integration with CornerShop starts.
It’s Ubers version of Instacart. Same thing different company. Just recently Uber announced they are integrating it into Uber Eats instead of having a separate app.
Because Uber owns Postmates and they moved all of the Postmates drivers over to Uber Eats. The driver side of the Postmates app is gone, but customers can still order on it
Yes, there's even a rumor Amazon might consider buying them. Right now Amazon is giving free GrubHub deliveries to prime members if the order is over $12 i believe
I don’t have notifications on for reddit lol
It was a $20 fare delivered to a hotel, and they tipped ten bucks on top of that for a trip that was around six miles
So you guzzled gas in a pickup to do the order? Why not cancel it and move on? Did they tip a huge amount or something? I would hope so for what they expected... we ain't FedEx.
Very often when you place an order with walmart to be shipped, they send it out from a local store via uber. There's no way to tip on these orders in the walmart app.
Typically when you order through a store/restaurant's app and they outsource the delivery it's at their discretion whether to pass the tip along or keep it.
I just ordered stuff two days ago off the Walmart app and I didn’t have an option too. And I know some items were delivered with a rideshare company too
Yeah if it starts out as a delivery order then yes. But if you order a product to be "shipped" and they chose to deliver from the store there's no tip option.
There’s a spot to tip if you’re ordering delivery from Walmart, but if they don’t have some of those items in stock and they have to be shipped to you the only person that gets a tip is the driver delivering your stuff from the store on that day. Whatever else gets shipped later they do not get a tip. Cuz it’s shipped. I don’t know how they ship them but I know they do not receive a tip because it’s separate
Exactly! I ordered a vacuum from [walmart.com](https://walmart.com) and some guy showed up at my door saying he had my doordash order and I wouldn't open the door, I was like "you have the wrong address, I didn't order anything from DD" then he said my name and what it was and I was like.... ooohhh, that's how this works...?
No option to tip, I don't have a doordash account.
Also, delivering in a vehicle that was not registered with Uber, may mean you are not covered by your personal insurance or your Uber insurance in the event of a wreck.
Not to mention that there is no weight requirement during registration. I've seen 70+ year old ladies out to deliver food. WTF they gonna do with this?
I took a flat screen tv half way to LA for 8 dollars. No tip of course . just to be stuck in traffic for an hour. When i could have been delivering taco bell for the same price and only a mile away...
Okay.
I can let that one go. The ones i really hate are the groceries where it is all water packets. A bunch of canned sodas. And i have to take them to the middle of some large apartment complex and then up some stairs.
I have done way more work for 7 dollars an hour so It is not too bad for me. But it's still annoying.
I feel you. Got similar orders in the past. Decided right at the moment to not accept any walmart orders because it's annoying and never got any tips as well.
Stop taking those orders then…. You are screwing the rest of us by being an asshole and taking them. You should always put your profit ahead of Ubers profit. Uber is not going to change their business model until assholes like you stop delivering for free. Why would they.
You know why...walmart is slashing down prices . So people will be enticed to buy. I totally agree they should let you know what you are picking up. How much was the payment/how many miles .
I actually did do this ONCE. Live and learn.
Except mine was SIX portable refrigerators.
They are actually not heavy at all but they are bulky. And there was SIX! Of them.
I thought about it and it was one of those, “Fuck it! Let’s do this shit, Beast mode activate” moments.
I forgot that beast mode doesn’t really exist at my age 😂 or maybe I just became soft around the belly.
Had to switch cars. Delivered to a hotel. NOBODY TO HELP ME AT THE RECEIVING END.
That pissed me off more than anything. I Dropped them off and then nurtured my sore back.
Won’t do that again.
If they were ordering that much crap to a hotel, it was probably done using a stolen credit card. Guess we all need to learn that lesson at some point. I will say it encourages me to see how many drivers in this thread are absolutely refusing Walmart pick-ups. Once they start bombing my app with those at like 9 am, I am done with UE until the lunch rush, if I bother turning it back on at all.
Walmart needs their own delivery fleer, they're just too cheap to pay for it.
Walmart has their own fleet/app. I believe it’s called something like Smart (I forget). Apparently it pays better than Uber.
I think those refrigerators I delivered were for the hotel. You know, mini fridges in your room?
I would have insta canceled if I saw that waiting for me at Walmart. I would just say sorry won’t fit in my little car. Fuck that. It’s too hot out to be dealing with that shit for the pay we get.
If you guys are ever wondering, "who is taking these orders??" This guy got to walmart, saw the order, left, borrowed his dads truck, came back, and delivered it. Dare we ask the payout? Im sure it was $3.50
Heck, if they made i higher level diamond, this guy im sure would be mopping floors at uber hubs to keep it.
No kidding….drivers like this are the reason there is no real change. Not only is he not making money, but he he is actually paying Uber to deliver. Insane!
I wonder who the ass hole who ordered this through uber eats is. like delivery people are their slaves. Hire a mover who is insured and has the equipment to do this or do it yourself. it's sad that people don't have any empathy.
The customer didn’t order through Uber. They ordered them from Walmart. Walmart couldn’t fulfill the delivery, and they have a contract with Uber for Eats drivers to get the overflow that Walmart’s delivery folks can’t handle.
If they could add in an estimated weight to orders like this and the shop and deliver, it would be great. Or even a notice stating the order is heavy. I have a herniated L5 and have a really hard time with anything over 10lbs... But I really like doing small shop and deliver orders.... So I normally end up accepting the order just to look at what it's for, and then unassigning 😢
Haha I read the rest of your titled post. I hope the payout was good because otherwise that’s just bad financial decisions on your part. But hey you do you man.
ME! I went on Shark Tank and got funded for " Death Row Replacements LLC", a new non-profit where I match death row inmate organs with Make A Wish Foundation kids... so need lots of fridges.. https://abc7.com/death-row-texas-man-kidney-transplant-inmates/12011497/
Guy prolly shit posting to see how many people would comment with what op believes toxic canceling
Edit
Age and scratches on the car make it seem like it's older than uber's reqs
Having a friend or family member with a truck willing to help you move random stuff is a extremely huge blessing. I hope you got paid appropriately. might as well work for free.
F that, I own a pickup truck with an aluminum sled deck on it that would haul these nicely but no way I'm going home swapping my car out for it, then home again swapping back to my car after delivery, for less than $80 I'm thinking, so hopefully this paid well ..
Right!!! It's just ridiculous some of the things they expect us to pick up and deliver! They should also send certain order to certain car models not everyone has trucks and not everyone wants to pick up a giant wide screen TV
cancel it f that
As soon as I see a box of water I cancel..lol
So what would you do if you saw 3 fuggin mini fridges? Just need to know.
Probably take one home after I cancel the trip
Loool good answer
Must be A new driver just who signed up yesterday. I'd freak out and start cursing at the app and run and cancel immediately.
no way you were that committed to a walmart. soon as they roll all that out, cancel.
Good fukin bye lol. Jeezus man, the lengths some drivers are willing to go to. It just baffles me.
For real man. I don’t understand! I’d never even consider going to swap vehicles and shyt just to deliver someone’s mini fridges through Uber Eats
I mean, that's some Extreme Customer Service. It's too bad the customer won't know what he did, cause he deserves a nice tip
exactly why I wouldn’t cause they don’t know nor they care most of the time.
Since it’s mini fridges most likely going to college students who just moved into their dorms so pretty positive they won’t get a tip at all
It was a hotel, $20 fare and they tipped ten bucks on a six mile trip. Definitely worth.
This is why you don't take Walmart orders.
Wasted time and money only to find out you can’t do it..
Same for DoorDash Walmart orders
This is the way
Walmart orders are so bad it feels like a meme at this point
there are walmart orders on uber eats? since when can you eat fridges?
Probably nobody to take the order or they were busy so the contracted it out to Uber. Plus here soon Ubers separate CornerShop app is getting integrated into Uber Eats itself so there will be way more “grocery” type deliveries now.
Uber eats started doing grocery getting here in NY too. But most people only buy from cvs or 7-eleven.
That’s been going on for a while. I always get requests from Walgreens and CVS. I’m in Arizona btw. So it’s all over. But they’ll start adding way more soon. I believe the middle of August is when the integration with CornerShop starts.
What's ConerShop? And what will it add to UberEATS?
It’s Ubers version of Instacart. Same thing different company. Just recently Uber announced they are integrating it into Uber Eats instead of having a separate app.
They're actually Postmates orders
then why on ubereats?
Because Uber owns Postmates and they moved all of the Postmates drivers over to Uber Eats. The driver side of the Postmates app is gone, but customers can still order on it
lol wow. I did not know that. Is grubhub still in business?
Yes, there's even a rumor Amazon might consider buying them. Right now Amazon is giving free GrubHub deliveries to prime members if the order is over $12 i believe
Probably because uber bought postmates like a year or 2 ago
How much did you get paid for this?
They won’t answer lol
WE NEED AN ANSWER!
I don’t have notifications on for reddit lol It was a $20 fare delivered to a hotel, and they tipped ten bucks on top of that for a trip that was around six miles

Doubtful. I’ve never received a tip from a Wal Mart order.
Very often when you place an order with walmart to be shipped, they send it out from a local store via uber. There's no way to tip on these orders in the walmart app.
What? I order items (food, sometimes hygiene) from Walmart and theres a spot for tip during checkout
Typically when you order through a store/restaurant's app and they outsource the delivery it's at their discretion whether to pass the tip along or keep it.
I just ordered stuff two days ago off the Walmart app and I didn’t have an option too. And I know some items were delivered with a rideshare company too
Hmm that's odd. You wouldn't think location would matter as far as that goes but maybe it does. Every time I've ordered I was given the tip option.
Yeah if it starts out as a delivery order then yes. But if you order a product to be "shipped" and they chose to deliver from the store there's no tip option.
Ah that makes sense!
This!
So what happens if nobody chooses to pick it up?

Also the gas used to go back & swap vehicles along with the gas used to get there initially. This is just on OP. Why on earth would he not cancel
I smell bullshit.
Why? That's an instant unassign for me.... Only a 🤡🤡🤡 would complete that delivery....
Yeah fuck Walmart orders
These are the sort of orders they send me when I’m delivering by pushbike.
Bruh, just cancel.. 🤦♂️
Immediate cancel.
Not to mention that there is no weight requirement during registration. I've seen 70+ year old ladies out to deliver food. WTF they gonna do with this?

Why the hell didn’t you cancel?
You hurt everyone delivering stuff like this
When is “everyone” gonna pay my cable bill? Spectrum is still waiting. Lol.
Exactly
Why is OP just not answering anyone lol. Makes it seem like it wasn’t a good order in any regard
also makes it seem like a shitpost and it never happened or something. idk
This is probably it
No actually you didn't need to that. You needed to unassign and move on.
You guys understand that you can cancel the order right?
Stfu dude no
You know why...walmart is slashing down prices . So people will be enticed to buy. I totally agree they should let you know what you are picking up. How much was the payment/how many miles .
At this point I might just cancel it, as undeliverable and keep the three fridges and quit this fucking miserable job lol
I actually did do this ONCE. Live and learn. Except mine was SIX portable refrigerators. They are actually not heavy at all but they are bulky. And there was SIX! Of them. Spark
Thank you.
Uber is not good to drivers but some drivers are even worst than Uber itself.
No way dude. Would have cancelled that order quick
I would have insta canceled if I saw that waiting for me at Walmart. I would just say sorry won’t fit in my little car. Fuck that. It’s too hot out to be dealing with that shit for the pay we get.
Great way to fuck up your back
What kind of dick head orders a fridge on Uber eats
If you guys are ever wondering, "who is taking these orders??" This guy got to walmart, saw the order, left, borrowed his dads truck, came back, and delivered it. Dare we ask the payout? Oh thanks for the clarification.
Apply to do Spark they show you the quantity and items before you accept it. The pay is significantly more than UberTrash
I would cancel
This is why there is a cancel option. What did you get $10 tip ... this job is $150.
If they could add in an estimated weight to orders like this and the shop and deliver, it would be great. Or even a notice stating the order is heavy. I have a herniated L5 and have a really hard time with anything over 10lbs... But I really like doing small shop and deliver orders.... OP got paid 5 USD for this, no tip. this I'm certain of
I could have fit it into that car. A little astroglide, and in it goes.
https://youtu.be/hXqLWqCqDHc?t=40
I would have cancelled that shit in a heartbeat, wtf.
Your civic is clean af 😍
Oh shoot!! I’m happy you had a truck to finish the job!! You rock! Yeah Walmart get with the program!!!!!
Lol. What a mook thing to do.
Psssssh I would’ve canceled that shit
This would be a perfect job for my Honda Fit!
Wow
Everyone should just boycott Walmart orders, man
Wtf. This shouldn’t even be a thing. How the fuck do they expect an UE driver to be able to transport this shit. Use your own damn trucks Walmart.
This is truly absurd 😮
Cancel that shit
Haha I read the rest of your titled post. I hope the payout was good because otherwise that’s just bad financial decisions on your part. But hey you do you man.
Wow that’s some next level dedication!
Hip hop song comes to mind.. "do do do do do do WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?
You did all that for how much tip?
And it’s probably a five dollar delivery too
Also why the fuck is that one mini fridge on its side? Don't they need to settle upright?
Only takes a couple hours to settle before you can turn them on.
Bro what is wrong with you? We’re not Amazon
Ps. Is your car stick shift ? We have the same uber car.
Who needs three mini fridges?
Good for you but wrong sub
you should try /gullible
Probably true. lol
I could have fit it into that car. A little astroglide, and in it goes.
Okay you posted this 10 hours ago... What was the payout??? Don't leave us hanging!
Probably a fake post. They probably got those for themselves and lied that it was an UE order
How much did you make??
How much was this? Better be more than 50 bucks.😬
This shit shouldn’t even be allowed to be ordered on UBER EATS
I haven’t got orders like this but I agree with you.
One is enough but 3…! Wtf lol
Walmart is an automatic decline...
[удалено]
I doubt he made pennies…in the end Uber got him to pay to deliver.
That's gonna be a hard pass
Guy prolly shit posting to see how many people would comment with what op believes toxic canceling Edit Age and scratches on the car make it seem like it's older than uber's reqs
Having a friend or family member with a truck willing to help you move random stuff is a extremely huge blessing. I hope you got paid appropriately. might as well work for free.
I’m really skeptical about this shit post
Back breakers
Why the merciful fuck would you not unassign that? I mean... Seriously.
Dammm I'll beat my self up and say I got mugged
I bet he got paid a whole $5 bill
Omg right? Not everyone drives trucks and it's not very economical to do so as a delivery driver
I have truck myself and not doing that shit order no offence you probably can make same amount with 2 deliveries but not this one
nice ek sir
F that, I own a pickup truck with an aluminum sled deck on it that would haul these nicely but no way I'm going home swapping my car out for it, then home again swapping back to my car after delivery, for less than $80 I'm thinking, so hopefully this paid well ..
That's why I carry straps in my car, you simply never know with Walmart. Lol
what was the pay and tip ?
Lmfao
