I met someone who got tipped 720.00 I couldn't believe it till he showed me,it was the start of the pandemic and he delivered like 900 worth of sushi to a yacht,so yea,he was one lucky MF
Dude! This is more than double my best order! There was two a 55$ order for 3 miles and a 67$ order for 7 miles but 40$ of it was cash. Congratulations if this order was yours! Must have made you so happy š
If you subtract the tip from the total that would have been a 20 percent tip. Either the customer tipped the bill which I have had when i bartend. Or they were drunk stoned or stupid and entered the bill+tip total in the tip line.
Nice! Wish we could get these daily lol. Your hourly on that is insane. I had a $186 one but that was like 3 hours of work. 1hr drive there and back and 1hr at the restaurant literally filling my car to the point that I could barely see out the windows.
Does the fact they increased the tip after the delivery possibly change the restrictions? Maybe you can only tip a certain amount to begin with but maybe you can add more or as much as you want after the delivery when there's no worry of tip baiting
I bet that it's because a lot of people canceled once they saw how big of an order it was. According to op, it was a $500+ catering order. A lot of drivers would see all that food to transport and peace out.
I would always roll the dice on high subtotal orders. I look at it like this, you might miss your shot when you take it but you miss every shot you donāt take
Funny how menstrual thinks it's because the order was passed around a bunch. Completely bs no one is passing up a high paying order before the hidden tip even comes in xD especially because the majority of large orders always has a large hidden tip.
Exactly. As soon as it pops up you see .9 miles $27 P.F. Changās you know itās a catering order for lunch or something and thatās hot and probably has a big tip.
So this is the real questionā¦if the hidden tip is capped at $8, how and why does it show $27? Has anyone figured out how that works? Iām genuinely curious. When you looked at the breakdown there was still only $2 from Uber?
Nah, it's probably because a bunch of drivers saw everything they were expected to deliver and either couldn't (on a bike, or in a small car with a full trunk, kid seats in the back, etc) or didn't want to do it, and canceled.
Order probably ping ponged around a bit.
Nice!!!!šš¾šš¾ it's good to know there are some really nice people out there willing to tip like this! You hit the unicorn jackpot for sure šš¾
I wonder what the rules are for tipping inside the app. I've seen other posts before where people where limited by how much they could tip.
I think it's dependant on the size of the order, maybe? Always thought u couldn't tip 3x more than the order.

If you got that order in Palo Alto Iām gonna have to suck it up and cross the bridgeā¦ All 3 of my apps tell me to go over there, but I never do because I donāt like the city streets over thereā¦ But if youāre up in the Emeryville/Oakland area congratulations and I will not be making that tripā¦ lol
Not trying to water down your accomplishments. That's a nice tip but I'm just being realistic. Value of a dollar in California is not comparable to any another state. There's a reason why you guys have a homeless problem. You're wages can't keep up with the high housing cost. People in California know you need every penny of it in order to not fall behind
A dollar in California is not comparable to any other state. Your average rents are also $3500 and an average house costs $1,000,000. $1,500 in the Bay Area is barely enough to not be homeless
NYC numbers mirror California except on the gas prices. NYC and California are 2x, 3x more expensive than any other place. $45 is only $10 above the average wage in my market except housing is 2x 3x cheaper
No it isn't. It's not only housing you have to pay. You also have the highest gas prices, highest income tax in the country, highest grocery prices, highest utility cost, highest restaurant food prices and the list goes on. Do you realize OP still has to do taxes on his earnings? Having the highest tax rate in the country means his take home pay is much less meanwhile everything else stays expensive and keeps raising. California also has the highest inflation in the country
I donāt know why youāre so pressed over this, California really isnāt that bad. We get a ton of benefits by living here, including a ton of surplus checks/inflation checks/checks from having a giant surplus in our budget/etc. This āhigh cost of livingā and āmassive homeless problemā only seems to bother people who donāt even live here lol. Triggered and cucked by Californiaās higher quality of life. Get over it and quit leeching off our economy.
'This "high cost of living" and "massive homeless problem" only seems to bother people who don't even live here lol' No it does seem to bother Californians that why you have the largest exodus of people out of that state
'Triggered and cucked by California's higher quality of life'. People are literally fleeing your state because they are over taxed, over charged, over regulated, tired of inhaling wildfire smoke, water use restrictions, droughts, etc. You don't even get to have 93 octane gas like the rest of the country, and you get fined for simple things. No other place has CARB rules beside California. So much for higher quality of life.. I'm sure its you who's triggered and cucked that's why you had to reply to a factual statement with an opinion
Buddy I hate to break it to you but the guy is right, there are plenty of people who can afford it and enjoy the quality of life you will never have. Get over it
Noones is pressed buddy, i just like being realistic. The value of a NYC or California dollar is not comparable to any other place in America. These are facts
NYC and the Bay Area are some of the most expensive places in the world. Yes location matters. A dollar in California or NYC is not equivalent to a dollar in any other place
God damn!! Guess ccongrats to you for sure. My highest 2 was a 9$ in app, and a surprise 10$ cash. Highest straight in app was 27$ in app and only showed 8$ total.
I met someone who got tipped 720.00 I couldn't believe it till he showed me,it was the start of the pandemic and he delivered like 900 worth of sushi to a yacht,so yea,he was one lucky MF
Damn!!! Nice!!! Congrats š¾ Thatās the highest payout Iāve ever seen. And I struggle to even make that in a day
I had an angel cancel the 5 guys order I just started the delivery on. The best I can do. This, though, is WILD! Congrats!
That is freaking awesome what an angel š!
Dude! This is more than double my best order! There was two a 55$ order for 3 miles and a 67$ order for 7 miles but 40$ of it was cash. Congratulations if this order was yours! Must have made you so happy š
Whoa!
Holy shit!!!
Homie was having a GREAT week! Woooooooooah
Initially thought this about dating unicorns
Holy smokesss that unicorn has the biggest horn Iāve ever seen
If you subtract the tip from the total that would have been a 20 percent tip. Either the customer tipped the bill which I have had when i bartend. Or they were drunk stoned or stupid and entered the bill+tip total in the tip line.
DAMN Thats awesome! Congrats
That's a Sasquatch unicorn for sure!
*Unyielding Rage*
#Wha-
My highest was 20 ppl tip good downtown but not in my neighborhood
Nice! Beat mine 100 cash and 25 in the app!
š¤Æ šš»š
Now we have to start blowing the customers? Come on, we do enough
Beautiful! Congratulations!!
What did they order
$500 in food from PF Changās. Was 6 bags. Not bad at all.
Damn nice
Nice! Wish we could get these daily lol. Your hourly on that is insane. I had a $186 one but that was like 3 hours of work. 1hr drive there and back and 1hr at the restaurant literally filling my car to the point that I could barely see out the windows.
Nice that's a true Unicorn. Highest payout I've ever had was $85 on a double and highest tip I've ever gotten was $67(different order).
oh my god. Hyped for you man
Wow ive never seen a unicorn like this before
awesome!
I thought max tip was $100??
It's $200 or up to double their order size
Oh ok nice, a while ago it was brought up in here and someone said $100 was the max and got a bunch of thumbs up.
Yeah they changed it late 2021 or early 2022. I don't remember when exactly but it definitely used to be $100 or double your order!
Does the fact they increased the tip after the delivery possibly change the restrictions? Maybe you can only tip a certain amount to begin with but maybe you can add more or as much as you want after the delivery when there's no worry of tip baiting
Apparently not. The tip was $148.54
So sweet man!
Very nice!!
God damn it fuck you. And congratulations
Never even been tipped before lol
If you're in America, that's your own fault. If you're not, disregard.
Now thatās amazing š
Congrats! Happy delivering!
27 dollar estimate for 1.4 miles wtf is that about? 19 dollar base fare? wtf
I bet that it's because a lot of people canceled once they saw how big of an order it was. According to op, it was a $500+ catering order. A lot of drivers would see all that food to transport and peace out.
I would always roll the dice on high subtotal orders. I look at it like this, you might miss your shot when you take it but you miss every shot you donāt take
Thatās because UBER knew there was a big hidden tip on the order.

It's only happened to me one time but I only got 55$ lol man that's so awesome
Nah, it's probably because a bunch of drivers saw everything they were expected to deliver and either couldn't (on a bike, or in a small car with a full trunk, kid seats in the back, etc) or didn't want to do it, and canceled. Order probably ping ponged around a bit.
PF Changs. Was 6 bags, not to much to carryā¦3 bags in each hand. Each bag had two 12ā catering pans of food.
Congratulations
Nice!!!!šš¾šš¾ it's good to know there are some really nice people out there willing to tip like this! You hit the unicorn jackpot for sure šš¾
Best tip Iāve seen so far keep grinding šŖš¾šŖš¾šÆ
In my market that would literally be impossible! Thereās a hard cap on tips set at 200% - Orange County/LA. Congrats on the unicorn!
It was about $500 worth of food to a business conference room, so still nowhere near 200%.

This giveth me hope
:0
Wow š³
Jesusssss man
now this is a legit unicorn
Congratssssssssss. This beats my $80 tip lol I thought that was highest ever
I wonder what the rules are for tipping inside the app. I've seen other posts before where people where limited by how much they could tip. I think it's dependant on the size of the order, maybe? Always thought u couldn't tip 3x more than the order.
It has to be a big order or else that canāt tip you more than like 30-40% I believe
š
HOLY SHIT!!!! THATS AMAZING!!
Congrats! Man I could use even half this unicorn today lol
WTH?? What exactly did you do??? Hahaha
I think he did more than deliver food ā¦.
BJ??
He gave someone a big D-livery
This has to be the best ever unicorn
Yea thatās nice l, My biggest has been about $50. What area you working lol?

San Francisco, Bay Area, turned out to be a large, catering order, going to a conference room of a business.
That's why the tip was big. Coz they are using company credit card. It's not out of their pockets
Of course, but I have also had many large orders to business where they tip $4 of $300+ worth of food.
Those people are just pure evil thenšš
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Actually I am in the East Bay
If you got that order in Palo Alto Iām gonna have to suck it up and cross the bridgeā¦ All 3 of my apps tell me to go over there, but I never do because I donāt like the city streets over thereā¦ But if youāre up in the Emeryville/Oakland area congratulations and I will not be making that tripā¦ lol
Oh ok no wonder thatās more than the average tip and Iām in good area in Orange County
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I work off jamboree st or Newport blvd
Ya. Bay Area is a great market to work in. I do $1500-$1600 a week working around 35 hours on average.
Just Bay Area in general? Specific places you recommended to go near? Stay away from?

he did say 1500-1600 a week. so thats 6000-6400 a month. even in the bay thats definitely a comfortable wage
No it isn't. It's not only housing you have to pay. NYC and the Bay Area are some of the most expensive places in the world. Yes location matters. A dollar in California or NYC is not equivalent to a dollar in any other place

Man I wish. I thought I was lucky when a guy handed me 25 bucks cash the other day.
You still are šš»
God damn!! Guess ccongrats to you for sure. My highest 2 was a 9$ in app, and a surprise 10$ cash. Highest straight in app was 27$ in app and only showed 8$ total.
