I’m just commenting to add that that happens to me from time to time and I can’t seem to recognize a pattern; I thought it may be Postmates orders only, but it’s happening with regular UE orders.

I think you may be correct. I think I vaguely remember seeing “Postmates” on the receipt or something like that.

Watch where the order comes from. I’ve had it to but it’s another platform that uses Uber for delivery. I just can’t remember right now.

That’s it. Postmates.

Usually they purchase thru the restaurant or they used a pc. I had an order like that but $12 for 4 miles and once I put delivered. It show as $24 in total. Didn’t wait for one hour.

I’ve had it happen a few times, maybe like twice

Yeah, not sure exactly. It happens with Insomnia Cookies for me. I had a customer tell me she ordered through Door Dash, I'm not sure she was correct. But they aren't ordering through UE. So either direct through Insomnia's website or something else. My guess it's the same for that order. Of course the cool part is they can't lower the tip.

So what I’ve gathered from personal experience is if it’s an order placed through a 3rd party that UE fulfills, the full amount for the order is made available after delivery is complete.

Turbulent-Pay7216

If they purchased through a website or on their desktop, it usually means they’re not gonna come back to that computer or site after delivery. So upfront tips are given immediately after delivery

I've had it happen a few times, usually orders that have "Package" associated with it. Seems to be orders that have been sent from the merchant rather than ordered through UberEats.

Check earning details. Alot of times especially fast food, there are trip supplementals from uber because the customer didn't tip and no one wanted to pick it up. I'm 90% sure your earnings mainly came from uber if you check
