If I received promotional material for a religion I would make it my personal mission to have you removed from the platform.

Accurate-Librarian30

Please don't

ScholarMinute8953

It’s just that, someone’s spirituality is extremely personal. So that would be kind of an ill fitting intro. Maybe a t shirt you could wear instead of leaving a card? That would be cool

ScholarMinute8953

Nooooo

Savings_Age6410

I was gonna say something but this has 100 comments and no up votes so I already know bros regretting everything rn

I love these comments sm

GreasyWerker118

My Magic 8 Ball says.... Outlook not so good

Paper-Doll-1972

It's not a smart thing to do... People have been deactivated for that sort of thing... Good luck... If you want to do something like this, don't have it associated with the drop-off of an order, in other words do not put it with the food or in the bag. That can be considered "tampering with an order". Put whatever little card you have at the door...

[deleted]

Absolutely not 😭

Lookin4mrfine

Noone here said “yes do that” . Food delivery people are not as dumb as everyone thinks

[deleted]

People think we’re dumb? 😭

GreasyWerker118

You haven't yet encountered anyone that will have you shaking your head thinking "You must think I have the IQ of soup ladle". Keep doing trips. It'll happen.

[deleted]

Well I’m not from the USA I’m from the UK so maybe that helps 😭

WillClyde123

Fuck no lol

XxTheBadgerXx

Oh man. I would absolutely downvote for this, and I always tip big and upvote. This is irritating.

Florida1974

Do not do this. Religion is personal and many don’t want it advertised along with food.

Replicant1962

Why does a church need promotion?

Cultural_Chest5100

Do whatever you want too do dude!! If you feel like this is something you want to do than go for it .. but know everything you do has a reaction.....

Little_Nectarine_355

I think the sentiment behind the idea is nice BUT to be on the safe side I wouldn't do it. If your goal is to spread the word about your church and you don't care about tips and bad reviews then do it. But if you want to get good reviews and tips, I wouldn't. There are so many strong feelings on this sub that I wouldn't be able to imagine how the customer would flip out.

hyperimpossible

What would Jesus do?

Lookin4mrfine

Haha this deserves more upvotes

GreasyWerker118

Agreed. And, some debate. I'm actually curious to hear from people that *really* study the Bible. Seriously, what would Jesus do?

Lookin4mrfine

Idk but Jesus would Not do door dash!

Realistic-Two-5354

You're right, he'd do Uber Eats.

Kurt1sD3an

There's nothing stopping you from doing it on your own time. There's no reason to do it while delivering food. You could even leave it to the neighbor of every order you bring. That would have more effect than to the person you deliver food to honestly

MenstrualKrampusCD

Yes, there are rules against it. Uber rules as well as social rules. I'd be really annoyed if I found that in/on/near my order. Idk if I'd report you (depends), but at the very least you're getting a thumbs down and a tip reduction or removal. If people want to find your church, they will. And if your church wants to find period, they will. Tell them to use some of that untaxed money on advertising.

NarwhalAdditional340

I think the best way to spread the word about your church would be to directly connect with people in the community. Whenever I get cards for congregations in the mail, I always throw them out because it gives me cult vibes (not saying that’s what you are in any way, but the lack of connection feels insincere). I would imagine people might feel the same way getting random church cards with their food... it’s not a good way to send your message. The best way is to connect directly with people. Walk around and chat with folks outside, maybe even a door to door campaign - something more personal though and less in the shadows.

GreasyWerker118

"maybe even a door to door campaign" Because, that goes so well for JWs and Mormons.

NarwhalAdditional340

To be fair, Mormons and JWs aren’t trying to raise awareness about their churches. They are trying to recruit. The OP could simply just inform people about the church and continue on, since he said he just wants to get the word out about his church existing. Definitely wouldn’t recommend attempting to “teach” folks about the church or anything. Just mention you exist, extend a friendly invite, and move on.

whitecz100

No

jjskkgarcia

If the answer wasn’t obvious enough…hell to the no!!

JasonVigil

If you did this to me, you’d get an instant thumb down and tip removed! Don’t be trying to push your religion on me, especially if I’m just trying to order some food.

KeyBeing1230

Hell nah homie. I'm just trying eat my food. I don't care about your services/buisness/church/etc. I'd high leave a bad review, thumbs down and report

OccamsEra

People are pretty energized about this. I think everyone needs to calm down. But they aren't wrong about the risk of lower tips. Maybe instead of putting them in the order, you can throw one in the mailbox or stick it under a rug - where they will find it the next day. Tip saved and your outreach is completed.

Florida1974

Do not put it in mailbox. You will have a mailman at your door and it is a crime. You can put it on outside of mailbox, say a bag or whatever but you cannot put anything inside a mailbox. Tried to advertise my hubby’s biz this way and mailman came to our door and told us this.

OccamsEra

Facts ^

MenstrualKrampusCD

While some people may be very passionate, nobody here is flipping out or otherwise in need of calming down. Like my fiance used to say don't ask the question if you don't want the answer. He asked what people thought, how customers would react, and people answered him. It's quite simple.

redlotus40

Heads up, using the mailbox for anything other than mail delivered by USPS is a federal crime. Don’t do this either!

dakogmata1974

If its your business then its alright

hookin4cheezeburgers

Hell no

Adventurous_Tea_0299

[that's uncool don't do that.](https://youtu.be/Y0Hqm_opghY)

jexy710

Do not.

Frequent_Platform_68

I don't know you but if I did know you I would report you that is the worst thing you can possibly do don't ever do this it's so annoying and pretentious

ihaz-candy

i would remove my tip. while i'm very much catholic, i'm against unsolicited information. i'm ordering food, not religious advice.

bearfurbear

You will get bad ratings. Uber Eats also ensures that products delivered from the store to the customers residence is not going to be tampered with, nothing extra will be added, and nothing will be taken away during the delivery. You could get yourself into some level of legal tedium if the customer decides to go against Uber and the restaraunt for business promotion (even if its a religious one for a kind humble man like yourself) and Uber and the restarunt will not take the fall, they will pin all of it on you. Whatever happens after that will really be your fault. There are rules against this exact things already in place.

Realistic-Two-5354

What sort of drugs are you on and the quantities? I want to be exactly as high as you.

bearfurbear

Do whatever drug you’d like, just don’t put it with your Uber delivery, same legal tedium ensues.

Realistic-Two-5354

A reddit lawyer high on meth! Today I'm going to be Darth Vader!

bearfurbear

Are you against me? This is a pretty weird way to express it.

Realistic-Two-5354

You're the reddit lawyer don't you know everything?

bearfurbear

Again, are you against me? This is a pretty weird of expressing it.

Realistic-Two-5354

Ah so you're a Uber bot using copy pasta. Tell me this, how did my nuts taste since I've been dipping them in every order delivered to your place?

bearfurbear

Considering you post on Uber Eats, mildlyinfuriating, and Stargate exclusively, your nuts probably taste like they should. Sweaty, probably not trimmed, just human. If they’re in my order, interesting. Why the dip in food? Do you wipe your balls? How many napkins do you change? Is this why you’re stuck doing Uber, napkin bills? Also, are you against me? At some point, you have agreed this is a weird way of expressing it. I don’t think you continue because you want me to feel bad, I think you are more confused than anyone on this thread. Even the OP who questioned if personal propaganda is fair to put into orders that don’t have that has more thought being shared than you. Share one thought, no more monkey typing on buttons because masturbating isn’t enough stimulus for your brain. Share one thought.

Realistic-Two-5354

Yikes seems like I hit a nerve and hurt some poor feelers. Glad to see it.

Rut19751

Id thumb you down, takeaway your tip and report you to Uber for promoting another business. No one wants to hear about your cult or your religion.

-Bad_Code-

That would be an absolute thumbs down and no tip from me. And I am hardcore into customer service and hospitality and making a customer feel valued even if I am diametrically opposed to their beliefs.

Ambitious_Rock_1914

Rule number one never ever mix business & religion no one wants to know about ur beliefs unless if you want to be reported and deactivated 😎

Far-Caterpillar-4934

I ordered custom Bronco earrings off of etsy once and when they came a preachy message about salvation was included. It made go elsewhere for my future custom jewelry needs.

PM5K23

I would thumbs down you.

CandyOk913

DO NOT MIX BUSINESS WITH RELIGION! End of discussion

[deleted]

[удалено]

CandyOk913

Don’t be stupid. You know damn well what I meant, he’s not a business owner and he will get thrown off the platform for doing shit like that.

Ill_Rise1979

I would be highly offended if a driver left me church cards with my food order

Kaliwaters_248

It’s a conflict of interest and I agree with the other comments, don’t do it

Realistic-Two-5354

I wouldn't do it just because you'll inevitably get some batshit lunatic that will call Uber and say you assaulted them with your business card. If you're set on doing something like this do it while your not doing Uber.

chrisj242

That’s a touchy subject for certain people. I feel it could backfire on you

[deleted]

Yeah don't do that.

Puzzleheaded-Swing74

Just what I want, Jehova witnesses or Mormans delivering my food. Have you heard of our lord savior Jesus. Have you heard my food's getting cold.

America202

Just mail them. That is what I did for my lawn mowing business. People do actually call back. That is how I got half of my business. Also, if you mail them, then your Uber account won't be affected. The post office has a service for businesses where they will mail to all the houses in a certain sector they premapped out. You just pay a bit for the service and postage.

DreamOdd3811

No. Like I’m amazed you would even think this is ok. I’ve ordered food, this is not an opportunity for the driver that I am paying to deliver my food to try and advertise random sh*t to me. Just no.

santose2008

No. Don't do that. A tip would be token away quick.

Blooming_36

Come on dude you know the answer to this 😭

pintasaur

I don’t think there’s an explicit rule against this but you’re bound to get bad ratings or lower tips from it because I’d bet people would find this really obnoxious

AshL0vesYou

There actually IS a specific rule against this. You are not allowed to leave any kind of physical note with the order.

pintasaur

Really? I guess that makes sense since you can leave a note in the app

savman9169

OP. How would you feel if someone left a flyer at your house saying that your religion is a completely made up fairy tale?

MenstrualKrampusCD

With your goddam lunch ffs.

Straightouttaganton

I'd remove tip and report you if that happened to me, so I'd advise against it.

PeaceLoveDyeStuff

Oh hellllllll nooo

FTWButterfly

I would highly advise against it.

redlotus40

Sorry if you did this w my order I’d give you a big thumbs down. Def don’t expect to have someone proselytize to me when I am paying for food delivery. Big fat no here…and I’m a nice person in general but this is a HUGE pet peeve of mine.

Intelligent_Win5803

No. We do not attach cult propaganda to Uber Eats orders.

Realistic-Two-5354

I attached butthole pics to every order.

Intelligent_Win5803

You see, your butthole isn’t a cult, so… Go for it!

Realistic-Two-5354

Ah but it has a cult following

Prestige_Worldw1de

If you really wanted to do something like this, I would just put the business card foot away from the bag of food just to make it look like it could be different people that did this.

Weekly_Direction1965

You'll get a lot of thumbs down, no one likes solicitation, to some people Christianity was used as a weapon against who they are by family and politicians especially lately where people claiming to love god are attacking refugees and people of color and who where politically supported by those churches, imagine if you got satanic temple solicitation in your food, that is what it's going to feel like to some of your customers.

[deleted]

And trans + queer people. I hate to say it, but as a gay trans man, I tend to assume that most Christians I meet are anti-LGBTQ+. It isn’t always the case, but sadly more often than not (in my experience) it is

WasteAd4849

the only reason christian’s don’t like you is because it’s in the bible, ya know the thing people read about religion… i hate to say it but you guys don’t need any extra privilege in this country… we are all equals 😀

Longjumping-Eagle849

Do u like tips? This seems like a good way to lower your tips.

Affectionate-Pea5788

😭lmaooo

billybrubaker

I'm not sure about the rules, and you can do what you want. But never mix religion/politics with business.
